How to tell what band im on

Hey,
I was wondering if there was anyway to tell in detail what band i am on.

My phone should be connecting to telstra's UMTS 850 network, but i think it is only connected to the 3g 2100 network. Is there anyway to check?
Same with my data connections, i dont think it is connecting at the higher speed 850 band, and has reverted back to the slower standard 3g 2100 band.

Im using schaps 3.54b

You should be able to check them: phone>menu>options>band. Once there, you can select your band or go auto.

yeah, it seems i cant get on band 850 (telstra's nextg network) with any of the new roms.
very strange.

BTW...what radio version are using?

Check out this excellent engineering mode app. It says what band you're currently using.
