I'm at a complete Loss of words when I read the forums . There is Just so much information being thrown around and I know a Lot of it dont apply to me because of diffrent service providers and Diffrent countires and etc etc

And I knwo this Forum Prob gets swamped with ppl like me asking stupid questions . So I'm not going to bed for an answer but if someone wants to take the time to help me out a Bit . That would be great

I just got a Cingular 8125 ( I Understand its made by HTC and called the HTC-wizard)

I'm Using cingular/At&T as my provider
my current phone is runing Wm5
Here is all the info from my phone

ROM :2.25.11.1 WWE
ROM Date :5/11/06
Radio Ver : 02.25.11
Protocol : 4.1.13.12
ExtROM : 2.25.11.102

Windows 5.0 Build 14928.2.2.0

Could I benefit from upgrading if so what benefits are we talking about.

And on one more sidenote
I'm really confused about the whole networking set up.

Here is what i want to do with my phone . I Have Wifi at the house and at the work. and there some Free wifi spots in town that i sometime use.
I can connect and surf fine on my phone when I'm at the house or other free spots. At work There are some network seeting that I don't know how to configure on my phone .
1.) Automatic Proxy script
3.) dns settings
On windows I would change the proxy On my web broswer and congiure the TC/Ip settings in the control panel to change the dns how do I do this on my phone .

And if I can configure them can I have like a Profile set up so i can swicth from work and home .

2nd Of all How can I make sure I'm not using the GRPS or edge network and make sure I'm just using the wifi connection

Benefits of upgrading: If you are comfortable with your stock ROM, there are no real benefits to upgrading. There is no official WM6 for Wizar. WM6 is a bit faster and lighter than WM5 that you have; if you are particular about running WM6 you can upgrade.
