Hi,

I have upgraded my Orange SPV M700 (UK) shipped roms to the following:

SPL-1.30.Olipro
AX3L_OS v2.0.8.2

I may have mis-understood from the readme but I thought the updated radio was part of AX3L's rom update as when it completed everything was updated except the radio version (this still showed 1.30.00.01 in device info. the ROM shows 2.0.8.2).

So I updated just the Radio to version 1.46.00.11 and the flash process completed ok, however still it shows 1.30.00.01 in device information.....any idea how to fix this?

I followed the guides on
http://trinityguides.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=category&sectionid=4&id=31&Itemid=66

Apart from the radio not showing the correct version everything else is fine, GPS, etc. does work but I did notice it seemed to get very warm at the back of the handset (can't remember it doing this before the upgrades).

Thanks for any help.

So, are you saying start the radio rom upgrade without going into bootloader? Just want to confirm as the guides state otherwise...

Yes. In that way you flash with sspl.

can i just re-emphasize that it's quite dangerous to flash radios without hard-spl, and not the kind of advice you want to be giving out on this forum. If you're so convinced it's the Hard-SPL, load a different hard-spl before you flash the radio.. SSPL isn't a good alternative as all it does it bypass CID check, not protect your device in case of a bad flash

Switch back to SPL-1.20.Olipro and you can flash radio roms.

yes, please follow the guides on the site, which now reflect the option of going back to old hard spl if 1.30 doesn't seem to be working.

it is not good advice to be handing out in the forum that people should flash radio without hard-spl. You guys are going to wind up responsible for a lot of noob bricks, and you're lucky you don't have one yourself
