Make a Backup of your current ROM?

Hi,
Apologies first if this is a stupid question, but when I had problems with my PDAs/Mobiles the Windows seems to be reinstalled and I lost all setup/configuration.
I had this problem once with my Trinity, and I would like to make a backup of the ROM "as it is" to avoid this problem.
Is there any easy way to do it?

The instructions are pretty easy to follow also, just make sure you run through all the steps in there though
