is there a way to deploy a 'ghost'-style image on an axim?

i have tried using the data backup utility, but apparently it only works from the same unit. is there a way to deploy an image with software already installed?

or would i have to cook up a rom?

sbp Backup creates a self extracting image file that holds ALL settings and files. I back mine up daily and, when testing software, regularly hard boot and restore the entire system.

I think Sprite/SPB also do more Enterprise style Ghost apps for PPCs.
