We don't need an other WM6 ROM!

Guys and gals,

To my opinion we don't need an other WM6 ROM. There is a very big choice on this forum eincluding 2 touch ROMS which run smoothly until you need to do a SR, then your prophet freezes! We want a stable which doesn't freeze after a soft reset. Altough I want to thank the guys who work hard to give us nice new ROMS, but please guys your first and most important job now is to resolve this FREEZE problem.

And thats the exact point making a new rom I'm trying to leave out some things that may be the cause of frezzing... and make a rom in several landuages so that people wan't start translating these roms that do frezz our phones

just to remind you,this roms are totally free,you don't pay for them,the rom cookers don't get anything too for their jobs,so please if you can't help them,then better be quiet.thanks.using wm6 roms is your opinition,don't like them? there is so many "stable and fast" wm5 roms.:cool:

yea same here i've tried so many roms pdaviet and gullum's but my dopod 818 pro never had any freezing problem....

Hi guys, I am not offending anybody and certainly not Gullum or the guys from PDAViet and read my post I thank these guys for the good work, But at the same time don't be blind and read the forum and read this threat

A lot of users end up with a prohet that freezes at startup after a RS. Read Gullum's answer: he is looking for a solution since he is aware of this problem!

For somebody working on this, here's a clue....

My phone freezes on a soft reset like the others UNLESS I've just run sbp's full backup. After a backup I can soft reset and it comes back. I run this backup daily so there's always a safety net for me.

I'm thinking the routine they use to stop processes must all clear some temporary cache that doesn't get cleared in a normal soft reset.

The phone comes back after a hard reset also.... so what do the two resets have in common/

Oke, let's not argue about how thoughts are written down. It is a fact that this freeze-issue exists although for some more the for others. And yes, we will all benefit if someone found the cause and thereby sets the first steps to a solution.

It's sounds a bit demanding if you say "find a solution first before creating new ROMs". It still is a kind of hobby for some insane but very dedicated wizzmen. They decide all by themselves how to spend their free time...

but I'm convinced that you didn't mean it that way, your only concern seems to be not creating ROM's with the same flaw. And Gullum gave you a well motivated answer to that statement.

But, to all of us, we are all free to search for solutions, cooking our own ROM in search for the unknown and to go where no one has gone before....

Wich means, all the ROM cookers that are active now cooked their first one at some point in time because they wanted something that wasn't there yet. So don't be shy and give it a shot.
