Get google maps... free, works with GPS, but requires an HTTP compliant data connection.

If you already know the answer then why ask?

Telus is a CDMA provider....the dopod d810 is a GSM phone. The only GSM providers in Canada are Rogers and Fido.

As for GPS software....TomTom is a good starter software because it's easy to use. Personally I prefer iGO because of its features and ability to be customized. You will need a memory card to store maps. A 2GB card costs about $30 here in Ottawa.
You will find all the help you need here, but please read the forums and make use of the search function.

Good place to start is the Trinity wiki

try www.tomtom.com.
I don't use TomTom myself, but I'm pretty sure they will give you install instructions when you purchase it.

if you want to search for a street and then see the listing of cities its in tom tom will not do this....i am sure toronto is actually made up of many little cities ..if a street is in oshawa and you put the next city over it will not find the street....i think tom tom is useless just for this reason...igo is great, same problem....iguidance not as fun to play with but definately will search by street...or city for that matter......

all should get a fix within 40 seconds...i use shadowmite rom.
