Great Job Sammy...

Just install this ROM, and before any software install, everythink work fine...
Try with radio 1.46.30.11 for the moment.

Memory:
Storage => 62MB free after unused ringtones removal
Program => 30MB free

Network:
WiFi work fine, quick connection and good signal reception
BT work also fine.
3G HSDPA work fine too.

A few questions so far...

Do you insert some tweaks ???

No, I currently use Omega One Calendar One, but it use too much memory for me... min 1,4Mb :(
I'm looking for an agenda software using less memory when loaded, as agenda and contact softwares are always running on my PDA.

I use contactbreeze as contact application, very usefull for only 450Kb memory...

Pocket Informant is not enough "simple" for my needs. :o I know, i'm complicated...:rolleyes:

Yes and no, I can make VOIP calls trought wifi, but not with the earpiece, only via rear speaker or wired headset, but I live with that as I use VOIP only when I'm into my office @home, and I've build a home made cradle that give me simultanous headset and activsync connections.:p

As I know, VOIP using earpiece is a BIG problem on trinity due to some HTC hardware "limitation/specificity" , like the answering machine one...

You had me going for a minute. Strange thing the VoIP on the Trinity. the problem is with routing the incoming voice, obviously. I have had it working. after a clean ROM flash and clean VoIP install - I got it working once. then stops. This has happened to me on two occasions - so not a freak - but something comes and screws it up. Oh well...

Yes you right, but if HTC fucked the incoming sound routing due to a hardware bug, whe're in the shit...
Hope this is only a driver or software problem, and not a hardware lock for some stupid "privacy protection" reasons...

Excellent work....runs really fast and stable - kinda like Indigo Lite.

Why release two versions? - the black version also contains the standard blue Windows theme.

If Customer Feedback (and Windows Update) could be removed, and the Wireless Manager added, this would be the perfect ROM...

I havent noticed any change/drop in radio signal, works like the original rom
every thing i tested wifi/bt/hspda all dataconnections works perfect. Finally the right rom for me :) i like when it is original and clean. and empty :)

Same here, no reinstall necessary but some changes in Settings -> Connections on device. After that, WMDC worked fine.

The only problem I have had so far with this ROM is in the Comm Manager:
When there are no 3G connection, the 3G icon is blue but gray when the connection is active... weird (using the black version of the ROM.)

As this is my only problem with this ROM I definitely stick with it! I second the removal of MS feedback and update though.

I have run this ROM since yesterday and I must say that it is avesome no struggling between ActiveSync/Exchange server on work and WMDC on my computer at home, the device feels very fast, maybe because I only used it one day... But I'm missing solitaire and news, and can't find it anywhere...

Do you still have problems with battery drain? I thought that problem was fixed long ago with the 1.41 radio roms on up. I'm using the new 1.50 radio with my network on auto. Most of the time I'm on 3G, I get mail automatically every hour. Today I've been surfing with the light on high for about an hour and it has been 5 hours since I unplugged it from the wall. It still has 90% power remaining.

What values of power consumption in different occasions you have?
Here's what I have:

- nothing on, except phone (2G), low backlight: 20-30 mA
- nothing on, opening menus, different (no communication) programs: 100-200 mA
- wi-fi on: cca 260 mA
- wi-fi & bluetooth on: up to 330 mA

and so on... Check your values. I really have an OK battery time. Oh, forgot to mention that I have Indigo Full onboard.

With 8 posts to your name - I've seen 3 of them as identical in different places. You obviously can't be bothered to look for the right information - which is understandable. If everyone posted the same thing in several threads - the forum would be so full of crap trying to find anything useful would be a bloody nightmare (it's not that easy as it is).

The idea of forums like xda-developers is that people post useful informaton. Then, others looking for information read - and in absence of an appropriate answer - they then post a question, which is answered (or not) but those who know to benefit those who may have the same question in the future.

If nobody can be bothered to read (let alone search) they will learn nothing, and the forum will just be full of useless, unanswered questions.

Hence my point about not polluting the forum 1. with questions already answered and 2. posting the same question in many different places.

PS the same applies to you asking in three different thread for the fantasy ringtones.

However i noticed a "bug"
You "forgot" to remove some traces of the oem software.
There are lots of invalid registry entries (ie left overs from office, file associations etc) , these can easily be removed with sk-tools though.

And one more thing , but i have this problem with all the wm6 roms i tried.
Pocket internet explorer seems to have a memory leak , after a while the screen starts flickering and the page wont load anymore .... checking the memory in settings it shows less then 1mb left.

I still wonder if im the only one with this problem , or if other people suffer from this.

Anyway , ontopic again.

Talking about the Black Ultra-Light 4.0 rom.
i put bug between "" on purpose because you cant really call it a bug, but i think it just shouldt be there.
Especially on a clean/light rom.

But you can get rid of this by using a reg cleaner , or other programs like sktools.

Anyway i really liked this rom however scrolling in PIE seems painfully slow with this rom.
I flashed back to another wm6 rom , and scrolling is alot faster in pie.
Dont know if its the newer os , or something else in this rom.
But since i use my trinity alot for internet usage , i flashed back.

When you mention it I also feel that scrolling in IE is a bit slow.... but if you tap on the scrollbar, the page jump down immediately.. .However very great ROM anyway... The Best I've tested so far...

I have HTC P3600i. I have tried to flash it with Big Black. I got to the point where phone asks for confirmation and after I accept it it goes black and orange led comes on. Few seconds later I got message saying that there was a problem with connection. I have checked and cable was in place and Vistas Windows Mobile center showed connection established. I have reseted the phone and it works ok but I cant flash it. Any ideas?

Als is there any tool that I can use to backup my original ROM?

I'm using IMAP and POP3, both. Unfortunately, I've seen this error only with Windows Mobile Device Center, so far everything is ok with Activesync under XP.

No not really. also happened using ActiveSync on HSDPA or GPRS. After softreset everythinh worked again. Think it has something to do with amount of available memory.

The use of RUU 3.14.4.1 (from the official ROM) and loading SSPL-TRIN.exe before flashing, always works in Vista, if it's the 32 or 64Bit version it doesn't matter.

Everything goes fine until I click OK on the PDA screen to procede then the loader shuts down saying the device cannot be detected. I know it detected it since it prompted to accept from an unknown publisher. I haven't found any input in previous posts with this type of problem so i might be missing something very simple. Advice anyone?

Well it is not a problem with large mailboxes. I only sync the mails from today which is never more than 20. I have around 200 calendar items in a two weeks range (minimum I can sync) and I can see that it spits out this error after less than 100 calendar items.
This happens both when I use active sync directly to the Exchange server and also when I sync with my local outlook 2003 on winXP. I suspect that somthing big is taking up too much ram without showing it in the memory status app, but I am not sure which one it is. I have SPB mobile shell installed and I suspected that it was the cause of this. This is however not the case :-/ as it did not fix the problem to uninstall it. All help appreciated since I really like this rom.

what you r saying,is what i am doing.files replacing just finished, i am doing reg part now.
old live have another problem, it refuse to change the mail sync schedule.
so i have to update it.

best radio for this rom may be..........1.38....for me, 1.38 the signal is "showing"a bit weak but it make the system stable and no battery drain problem at all.

the other thing i am doing, is
1) dump xt9 from bepe's rom and built in this.
2) load the dll to fix file choose and open dialg(all the program can save&open file in anywhere, before it only can save to some folders like "my document")
3) lyrics plugin for wmp(not sure)
4)a GPRS monitor plugin today. showing how many MB have been used from a date.
5)a stand alone taskmanager program, the powerful one,for network,ping,ipconfig,cpu usage,services control,ect...
6)remote desktop(it is useful when i am on my bed and use my mobile to shutdown my computer haah)
7)use resco explorer.(i just cracked it for my own use,but not sure again if i will build it in or not)
8)a larger wince.nls file,much more worldwide one,(japan,korean,china,ect)the regional settings will include more countries and languages.for the users in those country, they load a font then they can brows website and listen music in their language.
9)PIEPlus, if build in, it will be cracked one. i am new here, i don't know the policy of this forum, it allow me to do that or not.

The voice speed dial seems to be new to? i cant even remember if this program was in BB 1.1. I use voice dial a lot with my Jabra 205 BT so that i must have.
And i had allways to intall it

Everythig i have tried works excellent! and when i install Tomtom i was suprised how fast it gps fixed! it was much slower before? ( i must be dreaming)

And big bonus is the Opera browser, love that one! The perfect rom become even more perfect!!

Attention: Always remove SD when making flash, because sometimes it can erase all data in SD card.

But know that is done, you should remove SD card, and make Soft reset (or hard Reset), and then try to insert card again to see if it is recognized.

I don't like pBar - I prefer Trancreative Magic Button, once it shows me the icons of the current running apps right beside the Start button.
So, how can I install Big Black 1.3 WITHOUT pBar?

pBar is only a few KB :) You can deselect "Run program on startup". This way you won't have to use this great piece of software at all! :D

When some software is included in the ROM you CANNOT unistall, however I don't know if you can just delete the exe file.

mccune already try to told you this... and like he said it's very easy to disable the app.

I noticed that "strange" behaviur after installing MAGIC BUTTON on the Light Black 4.0 and somehow think that it may-be related to that kind of programs.

Solved by telling MAGIC BUTTON to NOT SHOW WHEN INACTIVE.

That's computer basics dude ;) Something that's in the ROM cannot be deleted. But sometimes a ROM Cooker installs programs that are installed from the Ext. ROM wich means you might have the option to uninstall, but most off the time you can't. Or you have to delete the files manually...

As fas as pBar concerns, it only one small file. You could have tried to delete it using Total Commander or something like TC. I can't believe that you would not install a ROM because you can't delete a small file like pBar :D

The Big Black 1.3 is a GREAT Rom- very fast, memory is stable and no battery drain with radio 1.46.00.11

I got the questions:

On the first page there is a picture with the date in a single line. I tried do manage this by editing the following registry entry with the Resco-Editor:

[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today]
"AutoSingleLineDatePlugin" = dword:00000001

Wait 5 Minutes, press the power button for 5 seconds and turn the trinity off. Unfortunately, after turning it back on it shows the date and time in 2 lines again.
Did anybody got this working? If so, any clue what I am doing wrong?

iLauncher is a great tool and I would like to use it with this rom as well. It comes with an pretty neat built-in task manager.
Is there any way to prevent pbar to start after an soft-reset because it is getting in the way with iLauncher?

Found the mistake:
#1 had to soft reset, then it worked
#2 just had to start pbar after softreset and quit it with the red x. After that iLauncher works just fine. If there should be another way to (automatically) prevent pbar from starting just let me know. Thanks in advance.

JPEG Compression does not work. I am having a problem with the Big Version of it. It flashed fine , but then I am unable to see all the additional images like the bootup screen , even the today background. It seems that it does not want to decompress JPEG at all. Any ideas what I did wrong

Has anyone experienced very slow launch of Office Apps in the Big Black Rom v 1.3?
I tried all of them, they all take a few minutes to start...
Apart of that everything else seems to be great with this ROM. Well done Sammy!
