IMAP4 e-mail deletion

Just wondering if anyone has any similar experience: I have configured my personal mailbox on my Vox using IMAP4. In the Account Settings under Advanced Settings for the Sending options I selected "When deleting messages: keep them on the server".

Strangely that is exactly what does NOT happen - messages ARE deleted from the server :(

Any ideas anyone? Is there a registry setting that I should be looking at?

1. Messaging's IMAP handling is pretty much messed up, even in WM6. Use an alternative, IMAP-capable app not having this problem. For example, give a try to FlexMail.

(I'll also re-check this problem and accordingly update my IMAP Bible to reflect WM6 and Smartphone-related issues.)

2. Moving the thread to General because Messaging bugs are common to all Smartphones.
