myFaves on today screen

Is there a way to reduce the amount of space the myfaves app takes up on the today screen? I know it can be turned off completely, but is there a reg hack or something that will allow a way to reduce the size of the myfaves icons or maybe the height of the myfaves today plugin? I use it a lot so I don't want it turned off completely, but it just eats up too much today screen real estate!

I would say turn the favs off and then isntall the Kaiser today home plugin and then put your favs + 4 in the contacts tab
