I just had a wonderful conversation with a young lady at T-Mobile about the memory problems with these devices. According to her the T-Mobile version of this device has less memory internally then the MDA or a standard P4350. Her quote was "that device only has 24mb of ram" and attempted to persuade me that resetting every 12-24 hours was a normal process for these devices, and that it is not a phone and smart devices need this kind of attention. She felt that since it must be my first device that I need to get used to this.

I spoke with her and was transferred upward on the tier to be told that there will be no OS updates on this device until HTC gives them something useful to update. After speaking with this person though I have to the conclusion that the battery problems (All radios off equal battery drain) and the memory leak are caused by the same thing.

So my question is simple. Does anyone know how to completely uninstall the T-mobile myfaves program from the background so it will stop eating into available resources and stop attempting to poll the network when it has no connectivity?

Thanks

Sorry about ranting.

I'm not sure, so wait until somebody confirms this:
-Do a Hard Reset and just before the automatic customization of the phone perform a soft reset.

I am sure about this:
-Look for the "PagePool changing' posts in this forum. This will give you more RAM.

Not sure, but I did go into the registry and stopped it from starting up in the background... I forgot how, though... sorry. It's somewhere in this forum or in Modaco... I can't remember. Look for "Init" I believe...
