I am nearly giving up on my s200 (prophet).
As soon as I have not used the phone some hours it often does not ring, but the incoming call goes directly to the answering machine. Sometimes it gives 1-2 rings, but I cannot cach the other person. Antenna has been changed and relevant hardware looked after. I have the rom version "2.20.7.40 DAN" (danish) and the radio rom 02.61.21 (which the qtek people in Denmark claims should have solved all issues regarding the phone not being able to recatch/report to the GSM network here in Denmark). It is a G4.
I have the following questions:
1. Is it likely that the radio rom 2.69.21 could improve anything?
2. Are the radio roms country specific (i.e. do I have to wait for a Danish version of 2.69.21?
3. Would changing to another main ROM supplied in here improve stability of the radio/phone part? If yes which one can you recommend?
4. Would I benefit from changing to a wm6 ROM?
5. Is it likely that the phone instability has to do with my s200 being too loaded in the pda part (I use alarmToday, SpbDiary and Sbsh ilauncher as today plugins)
I would be happy if anyone can recommend how to deal with this (which software to avoid, hard reset necessary, ROM changes etc) as I am otherwise very pleased with my prophet.
The final question is of course if I am not the only one and it just happens to be that the prophet/windows mobile can not make up a stable mobile phone?
In that case I would like recommandations about what to buy instead
