I have a SPV M3100 and a Parrot CK3100. It has been working both together without problem, but since I make a hard-reset (for cleaning the DPA from a lot of spare programas and files) every time I start the car, the Parrot connect with the PDA, synchronize contacts and then disconnect. I see my PDA and bluetooth has been disconnected, I suppose that Parrot has disconnected it.
Does anybody know what happen and how to solve this problem?

Hi montarelonf

I have the same setup as you and though I've had problems on and off, its always been related to my phone

In your case however, I would do one of 3 things

1. Delete the pairing from your phone and re-pair it
2. If that does not work, then reset the parrot and delete the pairing from your phone
To reset the parrot, hold down the red and green button together when the engine is on. You will hear "memory erasing" followed by a silence and then finally "please pair device"
Re-pair it, the password is 1234 and see how it goes.
3. If even that does not work, then you might want to see if another phone has the same problem. If not, then you're looking at phone problems where I would maybe reset it completely (hard/factory reset)
If it does have an issue, then its your parrot firmware. what firmware do you have?
Mines 5.10c from what I remember.

Hope this helps!

As said delete all pairings.. does the 3100 have an option to pair with a phone and not syncronise I have the 3400 which has a phone type of Disbable syncro what you then have to do is manually transfer the phone book. The contacts then appear as 1 and not tony/m tony/h tony/w etc.

Yes, on the 3100 pair is as a "SonyEricsson NoSync"

Parrot has a contact sync application on their website, all it does is takes all your Outlook contacts and makes a single VCF file out of them, pop that on your phone and "beam" it to the carkit.

The syncing option on the 3100 (and 3300GPS) is useless and in combination with the phone often hangs, manual sync is the way to go.

Manual Sync is also the only way to sync and be able to use the categories, otherwise the Hermes just sends them all and puts them all individually. Sending the VCF puts the contacts with the correct categories.
