I am sure that I have had a rom before that reset the list of last run programs to nothing each time the system was booted.

Does anyone know if this utility?

Thanks.

Vicsoft's ClearTemp is fine. Very simple, very small and has a wide variety of items you can choose to clear, Recent Programs among them.

It comes as a cab and as folders to simply drop in. If you want in a ROM cooked in, it would be very simple.

(Doesn't autorun as you were saying though - you have to run it.)

Find a post by Dr. Puttingham, his signature line provides his cab file that among other great things, includes startclean.exe which will do what you want. You could also search this forum for startclean.exe and put in your startup, but I think you will find Dr. P's cab a great tool.

Just to back upwhat Visini said, here's the startclean.exe file in a handy CAB installer I just knocked together. It basically just installs the .exe into your Startup folder so it runs every time you boot up your phone. Couldn't be bothered to navigate the Windows folder every time I changed ROMs!

Apologies for not quoting the original author, but I found this as an attachment in a Dr Puttingham post and I don't recall the original authors name.

This looks like an interesting tool...but what are the program reset benefits? Performance?

Each time the phone starts up, it checks the links in the recent programs to see if they are valid. So yes, it is a (small) performance increase/load time savings.
