Dude where is the download link for the animation.......well i like the coloured one can these be itegrated with your animations already posted here if u want i can post some new icons and then you can animate them .....

I think you have to register in this french forum to get to the download link.
Maybe someone who knows French can tell more about that...
and maybe ask there if we can post it here @XDA-Dev. ;)

You are my hero: I am using the cube on my S200 and activate it sliding top down, excellent.
Can someone make it into a CAB? cause I cant copy the files on :( it says they are in use

I attached two pictures and you'll notice that the "End/Talk" key in the dialpad - the background is black instead of the louie v theme, as well as the "Internet Sharing" key in the communication's manager. Other than that, this theme is the best I've seen.

so here is my new vuttion style, with the original spinning cube animation.

Installation:
download the 2 zip files and replace the files in the windows directory of your touch. then do a soft reset.

the zip contains:
-the modified files for the animation
-all icons
-pause, forward, backward buttons for the audimanager that you see on the media screen while playing a song.

notice: the task icon was replaced with an compass icon that you can use for navigaton e.g.

You guys are making it really difficult for me to stick with one cube theme ... really. thuffir .. your cube theme .. WOOOW!!:D
Just n idea for more themes like the Louie V cube theme, how about a Prada theme, or operating systems, sport team(s), Burberry, D&G (Dolce Gabanna), even people/musicians/artists/movie stars, even cars and cartoon characters. Of course the themes have to be compatible to the pocket cm version as well. Just throwing out ideas for images and cube themes.

making gif animations isn´t that hard. use the ULEAD Gif Animator Lite Edition (Freeware). import the bmp files you make for your cube, set the time for every image. thats all. then upload this animation to imageshack.us for example and link the picture here.

you don´t need to unlock your device.
but you can´t overwrite them directly using active sync. use the ppc version of total commander instead and move the files from your storage card via total commander to your windows directory.

NO you don´t need to unlock your touch.

1. copy the files to your storage card.
2. use total commander for pocket pc and copy them to the windows directory of your touch.
3. soft reste
4. ready

ome of the new icons have bigger file sizes than the original ones, so i think thats the reason why your memory was low.

the media launcher icons have the format .brn, all the files names start with MH. You find this files in the windows directory of your device.

you find a tool where you can transform bmp files into the brn format in this thread. and a tool for the transformation from brn to bmp too.

the brn format are bmp images with a crippled file header. see first post for more information.

ps: the files that where used for the animation are brn files too, they have names like A0.brn, A1.brn an so on.

if you don't use the touch settings programm u have to go to:

HKLM\Software\HTC\Biotouch\APLaucher\App1_1 to App2_3
there you find the the entry NAME, go there and delete the programm name

for the mediahub page goto:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Biotouch\MediaHubMini\App1_1 to App 1_3
and delete the programm name too.

but i think its easier to use touch settings.

there you find the the entry NAME, go there and delete the programm name

for the mediahub page goto:

hi, yes you have to put the png files in the windows directory an overwrite the original png files. the old tech files and the original files have nearly the same file size. the png files are the buttons on the app page, an the highlighted buttons on the quickdial page. the brn files are for the animation and for the media page.

love this, but wondering if its possible you make a matching color theme on the add contacts buttons, they kind of stands out from the rest of the design. I can do that myself, no problem, but its nicer to have the original authors ideas on it :)

I have follow the instructions to install the Green Skin and template, and it works when I use the touch flo app, I mean the three windows of contacts, music-photos-videos, and apps. But the principal skin in the today "stand by" window still be in the Windows_Default theme that appears in Today configuration.

In the moment, I'm developing a new design for my cube.
The background is solid dark blue and becomes a transparent 3D-cube at animation. (like a glass-effect)

My actual problem is to attach the icons with antialiasing. Another idea is to develop my own icons in 3D. The advantage would be some nice shadow-effects.

take a look at the files size, maybe you have converted the wrong file. zero is correct.

the mediplay files are only the smaller icons for video,photo,music. the forward,backward,play and pause icons have the original design at the moment.

btw i'm using pda viet, but i also tried it on noonski's rom and it did the same thing. I get to look at my skin for about three seconds.

Could Someone please post the rest of the files here please, i.e. the smaller icons of the cube when they get highlighted. a specific contact (without a picture, the one that looks like a persons head but all greyed out.)

I'm using corel painter 9 right now (its garbage) but i do live in china so imma go get a $1 copy of photoshop today, then i should be able to do some pretty nice stuff. again don't laught at my cube, I only took a few hours to do it, and sometimes i got lazy because painter is so hard to work in.

thanks for any help. actaully if someone wants to put the cube stuff together into installable packages for me, i'd be happy to keep coming with graphics.

ah, ok. i think your problem is that you didn´t change the AL_X.png files. you see your new C0.brn during rotation, when the rotation stops the AL_01.png to AL_06.png loaded and it seems that they are still in the old design on your device.

ah yes, it is the forward, backward, play etc icons that I am referring to. I have set using touch setting, the correct programs to launch according to the video, photo or music tab and it launches fine. Only prob is when I launch audio manager and minimise it to go back to the cube, the forward, backward, play icons are still under the video (1st slot from the top) position. But this is a minor issue only really I"m fine with it, just wondering if there's a simple way of solving it.

Would you mind however posting the icons without the words? As I would like to use different programmes in the cube like adobe reader (which your book icon is perfect!!), thanks!

again, and maybe i'll ask a chef to do this for me, but i'd like a list of all the graphical files used by windows and the plugins, I've talked to a friend of mine who is a hell fo alot better at graphical design than me and we've come up with a really cool idea...life imitating art sort of thing. I'm super excited to get it going, but first i need to track down and pinpoint all the files that need to be changed. anyone know of such a list including these things?

1) cube, small and big icons,
2) HTC home plugin, icons, clock numbers, weather icons (although im not sure i'll play with these, they're already super pretty)
3) start bars and task bars for the phone
4) is it possible to easily change the background of applications? i.e. file explorer.
5) also, i'd really enjoy redoing the keyboard skin, the grey and black with urgandy is ok, but it could definitely use some texture.
6) telephone dialer.

actually frufo i'm sure you have this entire list as you've already redone everything. maybe we could work out a deal where you send me the .bmp files, or we could just have a convo and you tell me what all needs to be edited. yes you have to change all the AL_X.png graphics. see the attached file for an example of what it should look like.

actually i don't have a list. but for the cube, the home plugin, wheater, dialpad, commanager and so on all the graphics with a file name ending with .png are used. they are all located in the windows directory of the touch, about 540 files. take a look at these files and you will know what you have du change. oyu can also take a look at my commangager, dialpad, audiomanager skins in this thread to figure out which files are used.

Again:

the Ax, Bx, and Cx.brn are only used for the rotating animation. when you see the conatct screen the file you see is the QD_Bkdg.brn, when you are on the media screen, you see the MH_01.brn,MH_02.brn and MH_03.brn files and when you are on the app page you see the files AL_01.png,AL_02.png, AL_03.png, AL_04.png,AL_05.png and AL_06.png (one files for every icon).

I've just created a set of cabs and exes for a few of the designs. Some of the cabs may not say so, but you MUST soft reset your device after the installation is complete. To install a different version, you must uninstall the previous one first.

Maybe the files you want to overwrite, are in modus "read only" and can´t be overwritten. Also show the registry settings of Biotouch to Ext_Rom, not to windows. At first they must be changed and the write protection of the files must be removed.

I think I just put the wrong files in the installer... I'm currently working on a Reg file to run the cube from a storage card to remove those problems.

Im a newb but I can read very well. I have an xv6700 and I was able to just drag the v1.0 right over to the phone and it works PERFECTLY!! Thanks for all of your hard work.

The only thing that I would really like to do is customize...I have saved the so called "one step" rar files with different stiles by VLODEK but I do now know what to do with them to make or should I say apply them to the phone and get them to work.

Ive tried the cab installers and will not work. Maybe it is not the same or is not compatible with FTouchFlo. Dont know but I would really like to figure it out. I should remind again that I have an xv6700 and FTouchFlo is working perfectly on my phone. I just want to be able to customize it. Any links to the proper thread would be much appreciated. I have no idea how FTouchFlo stores the required files. The cabs should work with most versions of TouchFlo. Does it store them in the ExtROM?
Once I have worked out how FTouchFlo works I shall post some type specific cabs... I'm a little busy ATM so might take some time.

the files you have attached are the original blue al_x.png files that where used on the app page of the cube. you don´t need to convert them into the brn format.

btw.: the tool is called bmp2brn and with this tool you can convert bmp files into brn format.

if you want to install one of the new cube styles you have to overwrite the existing files with the new ones. after that you have to adjust the programm path, if the order in the new cube isn't the same than your old one.
you can do this easliy with the program touch settings from carlos_uk, that you can find here.

i think this should work on sprint's new touch too, the only thing is that the new sprint touch as some more brn files for a smoother animation (A2,A4,B2,B4,C2,C3.brn) you have to create this new files by your own if you use one of the skins here. the old touch only as the brn files A0,A1,A3,A5 an so on.

I've got the Sprint touch & I tried replacing the mediahub after stopping it with memmaid, with the modified one but it's not giving me permission to do it. I can't even see the windows directory from my Vista pc to do it from there. How do I get around this?

Hey all, awesome stuff here. I just got the Sprint Touch, so most of these do not work. I want to add Slingbox to the 3 app side of the cube on the bottom row, but I am no photoshop expert. Can someone tell me how to distort the SlingMedia icon properly so that is looks good when I put it on each of the sides of the rotating cube?

Using the default file browser doesn't work easily. If you download a program such as Resco file explorer then it will force the overwrite.

so here it is, my Old Tech Theme.

Installation:

1.Copy all files in this ZIP to your device.

2.Move them via Total Commander for PPC into the Windows directory of your device

3.Use the Touch Settings programm from carlosp_uk (http://ww2.fatattitude.com/software/)
to change which button launches which programm.
Notice: Delete the entry by the Parameter "NAME"!

i've changed mediahub this way:

1- Other
\Storage Card\Programs\TCPMP\Player.exe
2. left equal
3.\Windows\Audiomanager.exe


4. Soft Reset your device

5. That's all

the oldtech_mediplay.zip contains the files of the htc audiomanger while playing in the cube

create your image with the correct proportions:

AL = 119 x 105
MH = 240 x 105

3. Create a 16 bit bitmap from the image

Open image with GIMP
Image -> Transform -> Flip Vertically
Save As -> Windows BPM image (.bmp) -> Save
Advanced Options -> 16 bits -> R5 G6 B5 -> Save

4. Modify bitmap file header

open .bmp image with your favorite hex editor
delete bytes 0x1E to 0x46
delete bytes 0x00 to 0x12
save as .brn file

5. Deploy

copy .brn to your device
using a tool like Resco File Explorer, copy the .brn into the windows directory

you`ll need modified flash files, because your Ftouchflo is a flash coded cube that is totally different to the orginal cube.

so i think that the animations in this thread didn´t work with it.

I have a Sprint Version of HTC Touch. It comes with default yellow icons on the launcher. It did not come with Audio Manager. I installed Audio Manager and it works fine, except that when you are playing Audio manager, and in the cube launcher, it is showing the Blue icons of Audio , Video, and Photo in the play mode of audio launcher. You my have already seen these Sprint cube items, but...

This (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=123688&postcount=104) post has the G.A.N.T. cube files attached, including .png's and .brn's.

And, this (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=124363&postcount=128) post has a "blank" cube, which allows for quick icon changes or a headstart on making your own animations.

Also, as it turns out, the bmp2brn utility does work for the Sprint cube graphics - just not the icons...

You have to replace the files of the cube in \windows\ with yours. Take a look in the registry, what´s the path of your Biotouch files. It must be like \windows\Ao1.brn and so on. If it shows to Ext-Rom, change it.

i'm afraid not exactly.

in mine (Traditional Chinese version) i can see several built-in sets of cube brn files (for different colours) and there is a registry key to determine which to use. all .brn files now carry a prefix in the file name. e.g. "BlueA0.brn" instead of "A0.brn" as in Touch. in addition, the app launcher images are now in .brn format instead of .png. i also noticed that animation between 2 sides of a cube now has 5 transition files (e.g. A1, A2, A3, A4, A5) instead of only 3 (A1, A3, A5). the top-down animation also has 5 transition files as well.

in short, the cube pack as found in post #7 won't work in Touch Dual.

I'm thinking of using the iPhone skin for my touch that's out there. What I'd love to see is the three TouchCube screens being made in iPhone style. Pure black, squarish icons, etc. It would be very neat to be able to go from the normal today screen in the iPhone look and swipe up into the cube and still keep the same kind of "theme".

Also any idea if there's a way to tweak the cube to allow the contact list part to be used for icons instead of contact pictures?

Pure black, squarish icons, etc. It would be very neat to be able to go from the normal today screen in the iPhone look and swipe up into the cube and still keep the same kind of "theme".

Also any idea if there's a way to tweak the cube to allow the contact list part to be used for icons instead of contact pictures?

Yep. Basically instead of each of those spaces being a persons picture of a contact, have an icon there that will launch a program.

I don't think that is easy to do, as the reg settings for the cube specify a contact number rather than a location or set of parameters.

I've been tinkering around a little bit with the HTC Cube (on Sprint Vogue), and have been able to make an 8 Button Application Launcher.

Well, here it is! I call the theme "Silver Stripe"

You can make your Touch Cube go faster or slower by changing the registry values for:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>HTC>Biotouch>Biotouch>DownFPS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>HTC>Biotouch>Biotouch>LeftRightFPS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>HTC>Biotouch>Biotouch>UpFPS

FPS stands for "Frames Per Second" so setting each of those entries to 60 will make the cube flow very fast, almost as fast as your finger goes across the screen. Don't know if anyone else would prefer it to go faster, but I like the increased speed when navigating it.

Setting the number lower will slow it down.

No reset required, btw.

Is this just a skin for the app launcher? I would be very interested in the 4 sided cube idea anyway, is it a completely custom face or another app launcher?

I guess you could call this a skin. It's just 8 buttons sized differently and placed on the Application Launcher.

The 4th side is going to be another Application Launcher for now. But just getting that to work correctly seems to be a pain.

I've gotten the fourth side as far as it showing up, animations and all, with working buttons, but the icons for the buttons will not show. So as long as you don't mind pressing text instead of an icon, the fourth side works!

would you mind sharing how to make BioTouch call the 4th app (your ApLauncher2)?
since i'm using Touch Dual, i dare not directly install the .cab that originally designed for Sprint Touch.

here's my guess on adding a new side for your advice:

[under BioTouch reg key]
App4 -> point to ApLauncher2.exe
Cube4 -> define the rotation path from 4th side to 1st side, as well as up-down
PathN -> .brn file name (w/o color skin prefix), where N corresponds to path id in Cube4 key
TotalBMP -> increased from 33 to 44
TotalCubes -> increased from 3 to 4

I know this post is filled with stupid questions from noobs, but I have to ask. Is there any way that someone can post a set of generic icons in brn format that also show what the icons look like and have file names that describe their attributes so that noobs like me can just copy them to my device and use Cube Config Tool to assign the icons to the stock grey cube that come on the Sprint touch(vogue). It seems to me that all the icons posted either needs to be converted (net 2.o program) or are not stock grey. The Cube Config Tool did wonders for us noobs, now I just need an easy way to download and assign icons to my cube using the cube config tool program. If this is too remedial then ignore me and I'll wait patiently for a savior:)

First, is the bmp/brn that we're making including the icons, or is it just the background that the icons are going to be sitting on?

Second, I have a request for a theme if someone would be willing to try it out. I would like to see the cube skinned like an iPhone...IE the checkered bottom, black background
