Hello, I have a T-Mobile MDA Compact II with WM5 which worked fine for quite some time. A few days back the device suddenly switched off during navigation (don't think it was the battery) and after switching it on again it told me that the sim card is not inserted or invalid.
Help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks & cu

Try pressing the sim card a little. Maybe put something between the sim card and the battery. See if it helps.

hello vlodeck,
thanks for the suggestion.... I've tried it but with no luck. I'm still getting 'sim card is missing' when tuning on the phone :-(

Hi, i was looking to rectify the same problem as you have got, it will recognise no sim cards, did you manage to get yours fixed?

Hi Thanasie, unfortunately nothing seems to help :( . Might be a technical issue.

Have you taken yours to a phone repair shop?
also i purchased mine from eBay, and found out that it is only 4 months old so i might try to track the warranty down from T-Mobile if i can, if not i might take mine to the phone repair shop.

Since the case of the broken one was like brand new i baught another mda compact II from ebay and changed the main boards over, now it works perfectly (cross fingers, touch wood), the shop told me that it was complicated to take the main board out and change it, so here is me, a laptop and pc tech, i took it apart and had it back together within 15 mins and iv never touched a pda before, so quite happy with myself :P anyway i hope this mainboard doesnt break like the other, thanks.
