I had been using the great PDAVIET 4.0.0.0.6 TOUCH for almost one week (:D ) and had installed some software among which is TomTom v6.10 which I was using with my GPS on the road and suddenly the GPS quit talking to me! My Prophet (Qtek S200) never talked again! :(
I've done the following without being able to recover sounds from my Prophet
1.- soft reset
2.- hard reset
3.- installed Propeht_PV_Temp and then PDAVIET 4.0.0.0.6 TOUCH (At this point the Prophet was able to sound when tapping the screen for about one minute and then lost sounds again)
4.- Installed RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe and then PDAVIET 4.0.0.0.6 TOUCH
5.- Installed RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe.
It doesn't even beeps when requesting to tap the screen to start setup after a hard reset.
What is weird is that at a given point and after 6 hours of total silence, it was able to sound for about 1 minute between steps 3 and 4 above.:eek:
That looks like a hardware problem, right? Or is there something I am missing or I can do? :confused:

Addition: I took my Prophet to the seller and they found it to be a hardware problem: one of the speaker connections was loose. When they fixed it, sound was on and off. They later discovered that it was problem in the speaker itself. Somewhere they read this to be a fairly common problem that could be fixed placing a small piece of choth behind the speaker to have stay in place. I did not want that solution and the Prophet was sent to the wholesaler for waranty. It will take 10-15 working days to return. I will post the results.

---- Finally received my Prophet back from the manufacturer. The speaker was not working. I got a new replacemente prophet. CLOSED!
