changing pagepool WITHOUT booting in?

hey all.

i've got a prophet G4 running on gullum's V6 touch 8MB pagepool rom over here. i've got that famous hang on windows mobile startup problem right now. i figured out it should be a memory problem, but i hope i can get away without hard reset / flashing (and erasing everything).

so i was wondering, is there anyway to modify the pagepool to probably a 4MB version WITHOUT hard resetting?
