Hi, just wondering what dialer skin this has. Does it have the one with the logo top right that makes the standard wm6 dialer display incorrectly when used.

Also anyone tested the freezing on boot problems. Thanks

Rob

no more freezing on boot, logo on dialer exists, but who cares anyway...

So far stable, fast and nice looking ROM.

I will keep it for long time :)

Strange. I tried to delete the file - couldn't. i tried replacing it - it seemed to work - but kept the old file. I was swearing that it didn't work - then on the third attempt to copy the file - it did eventually replace the file! What's that all about?

Anyway - i got there. Thanks!:D

You can find the procedure to build your own Trinity splash screen here (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Trinity_SplashScreen).
It's really easy if you spend some time to read this well done wiki...

ONLY TESTED ON TRINITY... Other devices at your own risks...

Here is mine for example...

Load the .nbh file using SSPL-TRIN and a romupdateutility from any official ROM. (maybe it works also with modified romupdateutility, but I didn't try yet)
This will implement splash 001 and 002.

ATTENTION, ALL DATA WILL BE LOST, BACKUP YOUR DEVICE FIRST!!!

The .cab file change the "welcomeahead" splash to 003.

You can find a lot of image already sized 240x320 here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308504) or here (http://www.pocketpcscreens.com/)...

Thanks @Badbert's for is pictures...

ENJOY...

Is there a way to change PV logo on dialer skin with similar procedure? That area is all messed up, I would really liked to see this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=322463) dialer:

well, it is ok to install another dialer but I'm trying to actualy REPLACE dialer included in this ROM release to avoid having two dialers in memory...and not messing up with cooking rom's procedure...

trick with that .png start up image is nice because you actualy replace his logo with new one, I thought that this things are impossible because it is in extended rom so I would like to replace his dialer with anything else that don't have branding, idealy with replacing just a couple of pics in that top right corner...

since it has split sms and mms is it possible to install the latest version of archsoft to have the sms/mms all in one..

Fast, responsive without any problems.

Hi I saw that :) but if I do a hard reset I would have to reload the file, using the sample.txt and a bootloader alters the ROM permanately?? So is there way to alter the ROM??

Is anyone getting some major memory leaks?

I keep SPB pocket plus on my today's screen for all ROMs I try to constantly monitor my memory. I also use OXIO to release unused memory.

With other ROMs I was using I seem to be able to keep my ram up at 24+ megs... this ROM reboots at 27 megs, but seems to drop to less than 20 within a few hours of using.

That being said, I haven't closely monitored exactly what apps are creating these leaks. Will report back if i have any new findings

I have been using this ROM for a number of hours now without any problems, admittedly I haven't tried everything yet, i.e. BT, 3G (my provider's chargers are too expensive) and much around music playing. It seems very stable to me and quick even after installing about 12 additional applications. What does the 'Glossy Black Bars' app do? I tried it but didn't notice anything obvious. Is this if you don't use a glossy theme?

I have always notice memory leaks with all MS mobile OSs, I have never looked into it in detail, just accepted it as typical MS.

Glossy black bars: select any theme that does not have dark top and bottom bars, start program; bars will be glossy black thats all

The reason i dont like having that dialer skin with the logo there is because when you disable the 3g dialer, the layout is all screwed up for the existing wm6 dialer. Obviously this dialer skin and some others in some way affects how the existing dialer looks.

The reason i like to use the standard dialer is that when i go to a contact on the dialer skin and select using the scroll wheel, the existing dialer then ask which phone number for that person you would like to dial, whereas the 3g dialers just dial the last dialed number.

OK, quite obviously really, I was using the default glossy black theme anyway so didn't notice any difference.

Does this version still have the disappearing email accounts problem?

I upgraded to ROM v3.00.07.17 PDAVIET from ver.13 hoping that the problem with emails settings would not follow me...

I'm having this problem losing any email accounts setting & messages after soft reset. I did a search of the forums could not find a resolution. I did find one saying to remove 'startclean.exe' from the Windows/Startup folder but it wasn't there to start with on this ROM anyway.

Any help would be grateful...

Hey guys,

fist I would like to thank you for that great cooked rom! It's a shame that the great companies get busy with software updating.

My Trinity works fine (no memory leaks), but how can I enable the hidden GPS Receiver. For example, to make it availabe in google maps.

Cheers,
Florian

Edit: DOH! Its perfectly running without tonnes of concrete over my head ;-)
