Hi Guys..

It's my first post, and i'm brazilian.. so.... sorry my english.

I updated my BA yesterday to the WM6 (Helmi... You are the Best!!!) but.. some "problems" occurred.

On WM3 SE... I had a Connection Wizard Bluetooth. This: http://www.ce-star.com/products/mphone26/qtour/6310/selwizard.png
and was very simple to do a connection between my moto V620 and BA, i had some kind a file explorer by bluetooth... and now... when i try to connect my Phone, i don't have this wizard, and the only option of connection to my phone is "dialup networking"... I want to view all files at my phone.... and the problems don't stop here... i can't send file by bluetooth.. i don´t have this option.. only by mail and beam. Is this normal???
And.. the other problem is... The Media Player don't play .midi files.. is this normal??

So guys... sorry the big post and the lot of questions.. but.. i'm novice at PDA world.

@vipperdiver: I try to answer some of your questions with my little knowledge, I hope later someone else can help you.
1. there is no midi support in this ROM, you can try to search, I think there is someone who cook a ROM which included support for midi in WM6 BA Kitchen thread.
2. there are no options for sending via bluetooth, but you can select beam n wait your BA search other bluetooth devices, don't forget to turn on "receive all incoming beam"
3. about the wizard, well it believe it was gone since WM5

The problem with midi files was resolved.... I've installed a program "Mi_MediaSupportv2.cab" and it's ok!!!

But my problem with BT still persists, and with me... i try wait for five minutes.. and nothing.. i send file by ir.. and nothing... only this screen saying "tap to send".. no more.. no work.

About the wizard... the peoples ara crazy??? This is a excellent tool... why remove it from the new WM??? It doesn't have substitutes for this?

But.. I like your help... and let's wait more answears...

You are right, of course: I didn't do it.
Can you imagine me, clumsy with shaking hands, at my third attempt, finally getting the END!
I tried to do the game but when finally I sow the start shot I belived everything was ok...

I did the game now (of course I lost 40 MB of third part software...). It was successful and I notice I have 40.12 MB STORAGE instead then 32.38, and 76.77 MB PROGRAM instead of 74.98.
Little change, so what can I do?
I made storage format....
I really have to downgrade to WM3 and repeat all???
Can I have confirmation that install third part programs on SD card doesn't work properly?

Can I have confirmation that install third part programs on SD card doesn't work properly?
Some programs can be installed on SD card, some have to be installed on main memory; just check with every program.

While trying to get A2DP to work by turning on BT and doing the Set to Wireless Stereo thingy, I encountered the following disappearing applets from Start-Settings:

a) Personal - MS VC 1.6
b) Systems - Backlight, Device Information, Keyboard Backlight, Mic AGC, Power, Screen Orientation, Sim Manager and X-button
c) Connections - CSD Line Type, GPRS Setting and Wireless LAN.

If I soft reset, all the icons returns.

Sometimes, I get the above also when I use my GPS (gpsgate) and A2DP running at the same.

It's very strange that the above is happening. I have not encountered the above phenomenon when using WM5 roms. Other than disappearing applets, the rest of WM6 is running fine.

If anyone has experienced this, please highlight it here.

After I did a hard reset and built a new rom without X-button, I don't face the above anymore. Must be the initial rom was bad.

Thanks for the link (the first time wasn't working but now it is ok).
Yes, I followed that step paying attention and I just get the error message about storage, so I press yes and waited few seconds. Then I did soft reset.
But it was my first attempt to upgrade (unsucessful) and when I did second and third (the right one), I didn't repeat this step (according with instructions, isnt'it?)
So how can I check now if everything it's been done properly?
Is the only good solution downgrade WM 2003SE and repeat everything? :(

WM6 still doesn't support MP3 for ringtone. CMIIW
You have to install 3rd party software, such as mRing.
BTW i have not try it yet.

You have to pairing with another BT device first.
- select "add new device" at bluetooth setting
- make sure U have checked "Turn on BT" and "make this device visible"
- If U have paired, it's so easy to send file. Resco Explorer is the best, just tap 3 second the file U want to sent, then select send to BT recepients.
- If U want to receive file, IR Beam must be turn on first.

I don't like the wizard from WM2003. It is more complicated. WM6 is more simple to pair BT.

If U just want to send/receive file via BT. 3rd party software Dr YAR Bluetooth is very simple to use.

About MMS I've installed also:
- MMS Enable
- ArcsoftMMS4.2.8.1
- MMS_Account & MMS_Folder (put on Windows folder)

But: I recieve MMS notification without never downloading the message!:confused:

Please, any hint??On that one, I really can't give a hint as I didn't do anything special after I flashed to WM6 and installed the fixes that Hemli and Xplode provided. MP3 ring tones have just worked for me from the start.

What format are your rings tones? VBR, fixed? What bit/sampling rate?

I can only guess that the files you are trying are encoded in a format that WM6 doesn't support, or that your initial flash of the phone didn't work perfectly and you might need to reflash it (the reflash would be a last resort, of course).

hi, i have afew probs when installing WM6( big thanks to helmi and gang!!)

1) i noticed that the set will switch off by itself.
2) also when i press on either buttons for today,mail browser and ok. the device will auto reset. and sometimes the date and time etc will go back to 2004.

is there any cure to settle this prob? please help !! thanks

You should install Xplodes latest WM6 release...it's a lot more recent and a lot faster....

Helmi did some amazing work getting WM6 to the BA, but since this release, a lot of improvements have been made.

I also switched to WM6 and I'm very happy with it. :cool:
First I had some problems with GPS and BT, which is working fine now. I also have my BT headset working now and I can run TomTom navigation on it while I'm at phone at the same time.:D
But I still have the problem that I can't hear the sound of the navigation. :(
Does anyone has the same problem and a solution for me...? :confused:

How is it possible to make a loan of 700 billion when we are in a credit crisis?
When we are in a crisis like this, when normal people are declined a loan, how is it possible that the government (already in huge debt) is capable of taking out such a huge loan??? Wouldn't be great to be employed at the Federal Reserve bank - now there's a bank that will never go down and can always lend any amount of money no matter the crisis. Why can't we just take out our mortgages from them???

hey all... I've had wm6.5 by sun dream installed on my xda II for a while now and its working all fine so wm6 on Blueangel, Qtek 2020, O2 xda or whatever u call it is not really impossible..the only thing is that after install its quite limited in Main storage memory and u can't install may programs, so now im thinking of downgrading to wm6.1,2 and can't find a good link ..can anyone help !
