Hello everyone !
Heres a new rom.. :)
This rom is from taiwan made by Youzii.
- Build 18125
- No Cube, but TouchFLO and Touch Comm manager
- Including some tools and apps (Pocket RAR, psshutxp, pbar, and more!)
- Very stable and fast !
- Page Pool is 6 MB !
NOTE !
I have just updated this version and it works very well, BUT you might use the NVID WM5 rom before you flash this one, NOT the one which is included.. That made my phone start to boot loader..
Download Link:
Here (http://cid-8231c261cbdd4326.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/818EVO/EVO7en)
I have changed the files a little so they now look more like the ones we are used to..
http://da9l.4shared.com/
1. Under the EVO7 folder download both EVO7.part1.rar and EVO7.part2.rar
2. Begin with the extraction of part 1.. Run the exe thats the right for you
3. Now after flashing is done remain the pda unused and extract EVO7.part2.rar
4. Run Upgrade_Rom.bat and wait for its completion. Do as the utility tells you to
5. And now the rom should be installed !
Pictures in the bottom if the thread!

Thank you for sharing, Da9L!!
As in EVO7tw, Cube and HTCHome can be installed in EVO7en indepandantly with removable cab files later.^^
Visit http://cid-8231c261cbdd4326.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/818EVO/EVO7en to download the long-waited Cube and HTCHome cabs now!!
Thank Support for the mirrors:

-------------------------------------------------------------------
How to falsh your device to EVO7:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1.Flash PV_TEMP (download PV_Temp http://tom-love.net/Rom/Prophet/WM6....et_PV_Temp.zip )
2.Install Cert_SPCS.cab、EnableRapi.cab to the wm5 PVTEMP (your ppc).
3.Execute EVO7.part1.exe >> choose upgrade method 3 (No bother to try part 2, double click EVO7.1 Part 1 will do the tricks)
Note: Part 1 and Part 2 are the same file devided into two parts. The former is a self-decompressing file which associates the latter by itself)
4.Wait for 20 mins or so. (or you may like to check PdocWrite out in your PC for time's saving.)
5. 1st device configuration (the first time)
6.Hard-reset (type 1234 on Clear Storage, rather than hold two buttons + the tiny hole pricking, is strongly recommanded).
7. 2nd device configuration (the second time)
8. Start enjoying your "brand-new" device!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Wanna try EVO7tw (with removable Cube and HTCHome)?? Here is the link to the original thread:
http://www.mobile01.com/topicdetail.php?f=224&t=385791&last=3478621
Tips: ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1. The default region is Taiwan which can be changed at "Start\Settings\System\Regional Settings\Region.
2. Support Far-East characters including troditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korea, etc,. To display the characters properly please set the region accordingly at the same path above.
3. It's strongly recommanded to update the new version of G4 SIP Tweak, a third party application incorporated in EVO7en, for a better dispaly to the app.
4. The blue lines on the uppermost screen is an application to show battery and memory status on the left and right part respectively. Disable it by deleting pwrstat.lnk at the folder of Windows\Startup if it is not right to your eye^^|||
5. If you prefer the original contacts, disable the built-in PocketCM by assing the right soft-button to Contacts with Soft Key at Start\Settings\System.
6. No higher than 264MHz over-clock is recommanded for stability, though 274MHz works fine for some devices.
7. The clock on the upper menu bar can be changed to the battery icon by editing the value of registry as below:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell] "ShowTitleBarClock"=dword:0 >> battery display (1 = clock display)
8. Button 4 is yet to assign. Do it with Buttons at Start\Settings.
9. Edit the values of registry as below to modify the sensitivity of Touchflo (finger scrolling):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings "SpeedHigh" (20 is recommanded) and "SpeedLow" (65 is recommanded).
10. To edit registry, you may like to run the built-in Task Manager at "Today\Programs\Tools". There is an app named RegEdit listed on the buttom of the menu.
11. X-button, thanks to the freelancer contributing it, seems to take to built-18125 better than pBar 1.4. (my case is that there are always 20M or so left no matter how long the device runs)
12. For whom like to read Thai characters properly, please visit the EVO7en link to download EVO extFont.cab
13. Original IM (原生輸入法) installation:
Copy all files OriginalIM.zip into the Windows folder
Import the registry file PhonIM.zip (注音輸入法).
Chajeiim (倉頡輸入法) and Mboxcht (手寫板輸入法) installation:
Copy the AdditionalDll.zip files into Windows
Import All_Chtim.reg instead.
You'll get all three input methods at once.
OriginalIM >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=48906&d=1188663728
PhonIM >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=48907&d=1188663758

14. To get Chinese lunar calendar, change the value of the Dword, "ShowLunarCalendar", under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Calendar" from "0" to "1"
15. The letters chopped on the setting pages can be sloved by editing the registry as below: (Note: not for Chinese users)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls] "SystemLCID"=dword:404 << change dword from 404 to 409
16. Users who are not good at modifying registry please install EVO ENGfix.cab to fix the letter-chopping problem on some setting pages.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=49966&d=1189363816
17. For whom who like to have the setting pages for HTCHome, please install EVO HTCHomeSettings.cab.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=49970&d=1189364038
18. Users who like to check your namelist with Celedial instead of the default SmartDialing, please modify the registry as below:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin]
change the path from "Ext"="\\windows\\phcanhtc.dll" to "Ext"="\\windows\\celedial1.dll" (reboot your device to get it^^)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: The Evo7 series supports devices listed as below:
* SPV M600
* Qtek S200

Hi, nothing has to do with G3 or G4 chips. It's an application to set the default loaded IM (input method), to hide uncessary IMs, and to assign the default display of fonts.

Big Brother iiiox is promoting EV07 English version here! This is a very great ROM. I am using the Chinese version now. It is very stable and fast.
One more important thing is that for all who prefer the BT sound quality of Fantastic B4 but not pleased with its stability and speed, this one will be your solution. Per Youzhi, he has used the A2DP driver from P800W. You will not hear any hiss sound under this ROM. I have tested it with my iTech S38 and Sony HBH-DS220 with great level of satisfaction.
Try it and you will love this ROM!

Hehehe, I am a bit lazy recently. Maybe because I flashed my 818 Pro at least 3 to 4 times a day before. Now the EVO7.1 is really fantastic. It is very stable and fast. The new method of calling out the cube can't be better in elsewhere. Also, I am playing with my new BT headset Sony HBH-DS220 these 2 days. Hehehe.... forgive me being a bit lazy to flash new ROM.

The default font is the very Tahoma (sounds like big hippo in Chinese, ha!).
To change the system, menubar and pop-up menu fonts, please read the tips on the fourth post of this thread^^.
BTW: The pronoun "you" must refered to Youzii I guess. Yet I know nothing about where and when about the *.bat because EVO7en is created single-handedly by Youzii^_^

Battery life = generally speaking, stardard, yet it depends on the clock you set for the CPU.
Memory avialibility: Storage ≒ 46M / Program ≒ 28.5M (no kidding)
bluetooth OK
VoiceSpeedDial activated by BT OK
WiFI OK
Infrared OK
A2DP quality: No hissing sound, next to fantastic v4
Why don't you give it a try^^? It takes only a little while to flash a rom, isn't it^^??

Plz....check the system without installing any 3rd party softwares.
SPB softwares are notorious for their incompatibilities with WM6....(though I myself back up the system with SPB BackUP now and then without any problem)
And BE SURE your device has been hard-reset at least once before using it.

Hi there,
Thanks for your preview, actually i will try it after finished the download, my connection is too slow.
My main concern for WM6 ROM, is having more memory without much application installed by default also i disalike the Home Plugins, it is to big to the screen and to slow to be loading.

Quick question - this is ROM contains only the OS, right? no IPL/SL and Radio.
And the two steps - step one includes WM5 and Step 2 - WM6? Is Is it absolutely necessary to downgrade with Step 1 (something in the ExtRom) or it can be done also with other WM5 ROMs?

You need to flash wm5 before wm6 if you want to have it working. You can use any wm5 rom I think.

Very nice rom, thank you very much. Free storage and program memory is incredible.
It seems stable so far.
Just to help the ones who are afraid of following the steps above, I have uploaded an alternative version by mixing files with pdaviet's release.
You can now use the following steps (the ones we are already used to)
1- Install pdaviet_temp (then I disconnect the usb cord and do a hardreset just to feel better. I do this part in an XP under vmware server)
2- Connect the phone again, wait for activesync connection (several seconds), without touching anything run upgrade_rom.bat (I complete this part in vista with WMDC)
3- After receiving the lovely "finished" message remove the usb cable and hardreset
I reflashed my device just to check if it works (It does work :) )
There is something wrong in the original flashing method which specifies the ending offset as 0x3900000. it exceeds the size of the rom and it is the reason that you have to manually disconnect the usb cable after 20 minutes.
I cannot think of a good reason for specifying a greater size (Can someone explain if there is a reason?).
Without specifying the offset, pdocwrite chooses the correct one (i.e. the size of OS.nb)
By the way, I liked the ping trick in the script. I never thought of using ping to sleep for 4 seconds by specifying -w 4000 parameter :)
another thing is that, do not use paradis_pal's change pagepool method as the offset of the pagepool definition is different for this release.
you would not need it anyway as I think 6MB pp is ideal for most of us.
here is the link:

sorry for packing it with 7zip. my connection sucks so "size does matter".
You'll need a recent version of Winrar or 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) to unpack.

As someone mentioned about more stable BT A2DP (sound glitch and quality) it interests me very much and I'm testing. I'm getting sick of the sound glitch no matter how I config the registry.

My advice would be that you delete the files you have downloaded and start over with the ones that i have provided.. They are like the old style flash of WM6 (taken from PDAViet's WM6 roms) and more easy to understand the output from.. Look for link in 1st post !

is there a reason why there is so little program memory? I want to install other apps and fear may not run properly. already have SIP problem with gallum v6.
btw, is there a Simplified Chinese SIP built-in? Can I remove other languages eg Korean to have more memory?
Available programe memory here (28.5M in my case) is far more than common WM6 roms, say, 20M to 23M or so. ^^
More apps installation requires more avialable storage memory, which is why our memory cards for^^
And, yes, Chinese SIP is built-in. Actually simplified, troditional chinese and even Japanese etc, are all generated by the same font, (P)MingLiu (新細明體).

Anyway I can install ArcSoft MMS, but it will reduce the storage availability in the ROM itself.

This problem could be solved, as I know, by simply change the pagepool to 8M or 12M ^^
It takes only 1 second to do the trick with the great tool... (looking for it for you, wait a second@_@) "Paradis change pool size.zip" at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=323538

Yes it is using tahoma as default but seems the font registry was devided in two section :
- First can be change by the G4 SIP application
- 2nd cannot be change by the G4 SIP application
I tried to change some value into System Font, Menubar Font and pop-up menu font but some visible fonts won't change. I think this is because the Chinese character on it so the value cannot be change otherwise the chinese character won't visible.
Also tried to search it in the Registry but not lucky.
Hope the Cooker can release a new ROM with fully WWE edition without Chinese character on it, so the memory can be increased.
But after all, this ROM is next to perfect.
- It runs fast and stable
- Wifi and BT works fine
- No Network Wizard as default
- Font still has problem
- Battery life is the same with Gullum V6 and Nanoscopic but worst then PDAVIET Cross 5b.
Hope somebody can cook another ROM based on this ROM.
Cheers

Hi there,
Did you read the fourth thread ?
After u flash with step1 . you run step 2 by choosing upgrade.bat not Upgrade_rom.bat.
After you launch upgrade.bat, choose option 3 to flash your PDA.
your error because of the 80040000-OS.nb not already generated, it will be generated by upgrade.bat with option 3 (if you have run the step1).

Tested time : 11 hours
Result :
- slow
- freeze (4-5 times)
- wifi working
- msn working
Installed apps: spb diary, spb weather
Back to PDAVIET touch v6 :)
I beg to disagree.
Result: Tested time 30 hours
- fastest of all
- freeze (2 times) :tolerable: only occurred when an SMS sent out crashed with an incoming call
- wifi working
- msn working
- support Chinese fonts in here so I can dump the CE-Star which slows down things dramatically previously
Installed apps: Spb Diary, Mobile Shell, Phone Suite
The only thing I have lost is that the keyboard does not carry the previous English keyboards with Word Pick shortcut. Just wonder if I can change the keyboard altogether, anybody offers me a hint?

I have tried the Gallum V6 and PDAViet 4.0.0.6 Touch and finally this ROM.
I must say that this is the best ROM for me in terms of performance and stability.
I have previously installed
SPB Mobile Shell, SPB Phone Suite, PocketBreeze, SPB Time and TouchPad on all three versions (included CEStar for the above except for this ROM)
I noticed that only the EVO ROM allowed me to use the Touchpad without any problems with the above software enabled on my today.
Another plus point is that when I use the Wireless Bluetooth headset, only this ROM does not give me the hissing sound.
Only drawback is the the screen seems to be too sensitive, sometimes multiple actions may be done. Also, the WIFI occasionally switches on by itself.
May I request a Chinese Touchpad input? This would complete the package.
Good work!! :)

The sensitivity of touch screen can be modified, please check the fourth post of this string again^^.
Troditional Chinese can be added by dumping all fiils of Original IM(原生輸入法) into the Windows folder and import the registry file Phonim(注音輸入法).
If you preper Chajeiim (倉頡輸入法) or Mboxcht (手寫板), please dump the additional *.dll files into Windows, and import All_Chtim.reg instead. You'll get all three input methods at once.
For Simplified Chinese users, please install either Ce-star or Monster, or wait for other Comrades to upload the IMs absracted from devices built in simplified Chinese..

Dear fungsaikit
Yes I meant that.
I will try but I'm not sure it would help because Fantastic b4 and b5 both have Task Manager installed but the sound skipping still happen. Note here again that it happen when I make something that causes Prophet and iTech disconnected; i.e. charge iTech and it is automatically turn-off, when iTech move far away from Prophet, etc. When I pair them again then sound skipping happens. Other than too big to upload here, it's a Troditional Chinese version which may not suit for you... My suggestion for you is either find Voice Comander V2 on the net, or wait for, if possible, Youzii to release a cab for EVO7en similar to the one he put on his share folder for EVO7tw^^"

Thanks! I think maybe this useful piece of information should be added to your post on the first page with all your tips for the benefit of all!
-------------------------------------------------------
Original IM(原生輸入法) Installation:
1. Copy all files OriginalIM.zip into the Windows folder
2. Import the registry file PhonIM.zip(注音輸入法).
Chajeiim (倉頡輸入法) or Mboxcht (手寫板)

2. Import All_Chtim.reg instead.

Please advise what if I only need Mboxcht (手寫板輸入法). What file(s) do I need? And how should I modify the two registry files you provided.

Here you are!
Delete Chajei and Phonim values, and, from the files attached earlier, delete all the *.dlls no longer needed within the two sets of keys.
Please pay attention that "hwxcht.dll", a big guy here, 1.26M, can be deleted in the case of Phonim. You may fullow suit and see if it works for Mboxcht.

After four days of testing, I must say I like this ROM very much despite my very limited experience with PPC :D
I have two questions that need help, pls:
7. The clock on the upper menu bar can be changed to the battery icon by editing the value of registry as below:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell] "ShowTitleBarClock"=dword:0 >> battery display (1 = clock display)
I change the value to "0" but the clock in Task bar still displays time instead of battery. And I've reconfirmed the value & even performed soft reset but it did not help.
Another problem I encounterred is both Email & SMS/MMS button in Cube do not work. After I touch the icon (either one), it will only show the task bar without doing anything else (no hault on system nevertheless). The rest of four programs work fine.
Pls advise. Thanks.

your battery indicator only will show when you are in today screen,if you want to show battery all the time in application windows, try to change from clock & alarm setting then uncheck the option in the "more" tab.
for number 2, manage the link using HTC costum and pointed the sms picture to message

This problem is because of the EVO mms, i tried only using EVO mms without Arcsoft. The problem still there. so the best setting is do not install the EVO mms because it still have bug.
I just use ArcSoftMMS_4.0.31.23 and MMS messaging is running well.

I followed above instruction and now I cannot use keyboard to key in Capital letter of alphabet. In normal case, locking CAP key suppose to output capital letter but it is actually output small capital letter.
Without locking CAP key, Chinese character will pop up for every key I press. I have no way to key in capital letter now. :(
Pls advice what can I do to resolve this. If there is no work around, how can I revert back to prevous stage before following the above instruction?

Two ways:
1. restore your backup file (hopefully you've done it earlier)
2. delete all the related files from Windows, and delete the new added keys as well.
Good luck!
Note: No capital issue in my case. The real problem is that once the PhonimIM is built, the auto-completion of English IM crashes.

haha!! Yahei, as I mentioned at X-beta earlier, is just something like The Empress Yang Kuei-Fei, cute yet, not only chubby, fat while Mingliu is slim and graceful^^"
Copy Yahei from your PC to PPC and assign it as the system font with G4 SIP(download the new one on the fourth post of this thread) on the setting page to get what you want if you don't even worry about an upcoming obses^^
For English readers who wants badly to annihilate the Mingliu font despite the incredible available memories and rapidity of Evo7en, replacing the Minglue font with a lovable font you prefer to in the same file name will do the trick once and for all. (Back up your system first is always recommanded^^")

Well, the Cube Youzii provides neither works totally right in my case. And... to get it round is troublesome. Two options, again, for you to fix it though:
1. install Nanoscopic's remvable Cube instead. (works perfectly, but prepare to bat your baby blue from now on...cccc)
2. reassign all pngs, applications, and params manually with Touch_Settings. (time comsuming...-_-and a mistake notification will pop out at the first time you run Touch_Settings to modify the Evo7en Cube.)

Yesterday I installed the EVO7 rom.
It works very good, fast and stable up to now, so many thanks.
After installing "my" apps the touch scrolling works no more.
I installed:
==> WM5 newmenu by Saman
==> Launcher by Scott Seligman
==> SK tools
==> SBSH Pockebreeze
==> SBSH Pocketweather
==> TCPMP
==> Neotab by Inteks (I suspect this utility, one of its functions is to redefine the volume-slider as a scrollwheel)
==> Devicelock by mr-2power (some suspicion)
==> Total commander
I suspect Neotab, but soft reset after removing Neotab makes no difference.
I will try hard-reset and reinstallation, but first:
==> Maybe somebody has the same experience and found out the reason?
==> Is it possible to reinstall/activate touch scrolling without HR?

I think the best idea to solve this problem is hard reset the phone than install the application one by one then try the touch flo, so you can know which application doesn't compatible or disturb the touch flo function.

Sometimes it happens because not all WM6 for prophet have the same WM6 ROM base.
The best thing to backup your PIM is using active sync.

Got it!
Yesterday I reported the loss of touch scrolling.
After several hard resets and step by step reïnstallation + soft reset of applications I found out that changing the vertical scroll bar width (default = 13) is the cause. The scroll bar is quite useless with touch scrolling, so I changed the width to 2). Resetting to 11 or above brings touch scrolling back to life.
It would be nice to have smaller scrollbars, but with bothe Neotab and SKtools the altering of it finishes touch scrolling.
Anyway nice to have touch scrolling back to life.

1. Chinese shown on Calendar can be sloved simply by setting regional settings to your country^^"
2. The letters chopped on the setting pages can be sloved by editing the registry as below:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls]
"SystemLCID"=dword:404 << change dword from 404 to 409
Note: The side effect is that the sentence doesn't break properly on Chinese pages with PIE, so the method above is only suitable for non-Chinese users (or seldom browsing Chinese pages).
Thanks Youzii for providing the settings^^

Hi, explination and solution for issue 1 and 2 you mentioned above:
1. EVOen series is a literally WWE version which sopports Western and Eastern languages all together. This is why the font Mingliu is built-in, and this is why the default nls causing character-chopping on a few setting pages. By setting nls this way, Chinese sentences can be shown properly with PIE (a PIE's bug, no other brousers have the same problem)
2. ha! Youzii had released a cab (2K) to fix the X-button problem for his careless, haha!
And thanks for your report about cab-dissapearing-after-installing. I'm forwarding the message to 01^^" Or visit 01 http://www.mobile01.com/topicdetail.php?f=224&t=388826&last=3574981 to post the report to get quicker response and help from Youzii ^^ (Don't worry about typing in English there^^)

For users with Chinese names on your namelist:
Users who like to check your namelist with Celedial instead of the default SmartDialing, please modify the registry as below:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin]
change the path from "Ext"="\\windows\\phcanhtc.dll" to "Ext"="\\windows\\celedial1.dll" (reboot your device to get it^^)

I finally did it & you were right, the quick dial did not work. Email & SMS/MMS do not work in Cube are the only problem I face in EVO7en as of now. Other than that, it is a great ROM for me. Hope EVO8en will solve these issues :)
UPDATED!!!!
WARNING: DO NOT FOLLOW STEPS BELOW, IT CAUSES QUICKDIAL MULFUNCTIONAL!
OK, solve the problem once and for all as steps as below:
1. reinstall EVO TouchCubeEn.cab
2. move all files in the FLO folder to the Windows folder
3. import the attached registry
What you get after the steps are done:
1. Email and SMS/MMS problems fixed
2. the missing "pressed" icons fixed
3. the incompatibility with Touch Settings fixed.

Hi iiiox,
just want to share another bug for EVO7.2en.
Usually in other ROMs, if i want to send message (SMS) , i just write the contact name person in the destination form ("to") and the WM6 will suggest some names with the same letter i write. but in this version the WM6 didn't act like that.
Please help me to solve it so i can easily send a message only typing some character of the contact name.

Hi, the failure of word-suggestion is a known bug for EVO7.2en (as i know, Youzii built Chinese IMs a step before package the rom which resulted in the failure because the dlls for Chinese IMs crashed the original dlls). I had report it earlier and keep waiting for his new release.(EVO8en share the very same bug, too^^)
Here is an alternative other than waiting, try to find *.dlls listed as below, drag them to the Temp folder and then delete them. This method is not yet confirmed by myself so just be sure if you feel happy to try to it^^
----------------------------------------------------
"msimeph.dll"
"msimeuic.dll"
"msimecj.dll"
"msimeuic.dll"
"phonim.dll"
"phonim.dll,0"
"chajeiim.dll"
"chajeiim.dll,0"
"mboxcht.dll"
"mboxcht.dll,0"

I have tried it, but only for a couple of hours. I did not like the font, but otherwise felt ok. Did not do a complete test but it felt stable for that short period.
I have a G3 by the way.

Hi iiiox,
I think it is better to build English version without chinese character since there are some incompatible things so the ROM doesn't maximized.

Hi, this was what i suggest at 01:
---------------------------------------------------
The upcoming EVO8en is still highly anticipated by users here and at XDA. But, unless I'm totally wrong, the way EVOen displays its fonts might have tarnished its sheen to the eye of users in XDA, though it's unbelievablly simple to get around by setting the registry of nls otherwise as the default value.... -_-
--------------------------------------------------
Yet, everything depends on the SOLE developer, Youzii ^^"
P.S. As I mentioned earlier, I guess Youzii is forging a World Wide Edition for users everywhere rather than a World Wide English disguised as a truely WWE . This is an extermely painstaking task or M$ should have done it long ago.

frankly, I think M$ should provide the additional languages as plug-ins or easy add-ons or easy configuration.
You don't see me searching for ROMs if I want Chinese in my Nokia or Sony Ercisson.

Good thinking! Yet A Lot Easier Said than Done....
Let's talk about M$ system alone, which is, unless you are not aware of, very very different from Nokia's and the sorts.
To give a cabinet file or a today plugin for Chinese character"s" is not so difficut as Ce-star, Monster had done ages before, hadn't they?
The problem is how to maintain the reliablity, resonable avilable memory, and speed, isn't it?
EVO7en is certainly not perfect in some aspects while, to my knowledge, its complain of stability is rearly to be seen here, its amazing available program memories 28.xM overperforms almost every single rom here, and its rapidity ramains unchallenged even in the comparison of the new arrivals.
Still regard it an easy task that M$ can handle with cosily? I am convinced that you would like to think it twice, aren't you? Or you may give it a try to prove me a noob.
Individual rom Developers develops their own chatacteristics while developing new roms with new traits. Youzii, so far, choose to make Taiwan users first, so the charecter displaying problem ensued. Many users just as I myself, are persuading him to switch "nls" to U.S.A with a option to activate a Taiwan nls.
How about EVO8? Well, post your idea at 01 and let's wait and see...

I am another one that patiently waiting for EVO8en to be released. I've been using EVO7en for about a month now. My 6 weeks limited experience as a PPC owner really does not put much weight on my comment or feedback, but I still like to express my "wish" in upcoming EVO8en. :D
1. Fix not functioning Email & SMS/MMS in Cube
2. Include Cube & HTC_Home by default
3. Capable to read & input simplified & traditional Chinese (like installing CHTIME)
4. Maintain stability & speed of EVO7en
That's all :p
p/s: I don't care about English words suggestion.

Dear tb146,
If your email issue is really crux to you, before EVO8, you may try another missed surprise the " EVO7en" (not 7.2), emails and SMS matters are quite fit your needs..... ^_^

Thanks for the information, i have tried the EVO7en.
but there is some bug in it, now i am using crystal V1 and everything is enough for me. I hope EVO8en will have the word suggestion activated and less bug including chinese character in the time setup during the hard reset.
Thanks

*** "" BIG BUG "" ***
I feel so frustrated this afternoon.... my machine kept in rebooting.... or stopped, and rebooting...... I had NO CLUE since I had only installed a few software and just started to test with the web browser software (ftxPBrowser), suddenly it faded and struggled like gonna die whilst the battery count was showing 55% ......... ~~~~~~ +_+
1. installed 60% and fine custom tuned for hours to my 818EVO, +_+
2. I am an expert in PDA (beginner), how come it could had happened to me???? ( a kind of depressssssed ),
3. I just had it bought in 17 months ago...........WAIT ....... 17 MONTHS AGO???
FINALLY, THE ANSWER / SOLUTION IS ......
i/. the big stupid bug is in my head, not in my 818EVO,
ii/. the a bit swelled original battery, in the trash can now,

Superb! A Chinese PURE IM cab from Studio Kuma!
I've tried Youzii's EVOen with "IMonly", Gullum's V7, Crystal V1 and Claudyfa's Transformer V1 with both ime-mingliu and ime-msjh aleady. The result is one step from perfect --the automatic word-suggestoin fails after installing the cabs above. Other than that, everything works like a charm! Stark wong is the real man!

Note: try Ce-star instead if english suggestion is important for you^^
