I tried 286 or something last week and it started freaken out. So, 260 is the highest that I can safely overclock mine but the battery life is greatly reduced. I just overclock as needed to 260 - keep it at 201 for the most part.

Mine happily runs at 286MHz all day long, battery life is slightly reduced but not so much and the benefit of a fast device more than out weighs it.

At my orbit 286 MHz are definitly no problem - at my mda III compact only 260 Mhz are the max. speed . Try it with sure instinct - my experiences: if you run the speed over the maximum of your device it dumps or the screen stucks or freezes.

I run mine aty about 247,but the latest battery status has auto clocking so i leave it min at 71,normal at 201 and max at 247 with a boost 260.Normally when not used it drops to 71Mhz,saves battery and is around 201 most of time.Works very fast. But as with computers,be careful:)
