Hello,

I have a question. I updated my original ROM to the B&B 4.0 ROM and it all looks super. But now when i slide the phone into my carkit ( Carcomm CHFS-97 wired carkit ) it mutes my radio and wont come un-mute until i take out the phone. I had no problem with this with my original ROM ( 1.2.404.1 NLD ).
I tried the phone of a friend of mine that purchased it at the same time as i did and that still works fine ( still has original ROM ).

Is there a way to somehow change settings so that the phone generates a proper mute signal again ?

How is a mute signal for a carkit actually generated by the phone ?

Thanks for your time,

I have the same problem.

The carcomm carkit is connected with the radio in the car thourgh several cables.
One of them is a mute cable.
When you receive a call, your telephone sends out a mute signal through the mute cable to your radio.

The problem with the laters update is caused by HTC.
The newest rom causes a constant mute signal that is being send by the phone.

3 solutions according to the supplier:
1 Let the phone hang in the carkit and press it down when you receive a call.
2 disconnect the mute cable
3 downgrade the firmware

My fourth option:
4 find a way to disable the mute signal

Anybody knows how????

I'm a littlebit further.

When you disable the phone (commanager).
Slide it into the carcomm carkit.
And then enable it again.

Then the mute signal seems to behave accordingly.

Still no idea to disable the mute signal before sliding it into the carkit.

Regarding the mute issue's for the S710, P3300 & P4350.
Carcomm are developing a software patch to solve this problem with these devices.
It seems there is somewhat a problem in the new Roms from HTC..
I´ve sold quite a lot off these kits..and the problem with mute on constantly came with the latest ROMS from HTC...

same applies to the parrot bluetooth kits.
