Hi Tom,

Would it be possible to have a dedicated thread for bugs and bug solutions?

Im sorry, but its hard to expect someone to read through 50+ pages of text to not find an answer that they are looking for, or to not find the solution that they can work with. Or to not get an asnwer to questions.

We all appreciate your work, but bug issues, are really causing alot of us to get frustrated. And all we get told is "read the thread".

I dont agree with thread after thread for bug fixes, and i can see it getting annoying for you and the mods. I also dont expect to be spoon fed.

Please dont see this as im trying to complain. Im trying to improve everyones experiance of the mods everyone creates.

i dont want to discuss the bugs and solutions here, but heres the kind of bugs people seem to be having issues with.

Storage Card 2 issue
MSN issues
Backlight adjuster on HTC hometab not working
Device hanging on boot
Device backlight not switching on
having to soft reset several times a day due to hanging
crashes

Thanks. I hope we can agree on a thread for bug fixes.

I agree, even though i read up on the major rom threads several times a week it's hard to keep track. 4.0 Kept track of most bugs/solutions in the first post but it was even better done by Fracoon in the ROM NewArtemis 1.0 BetaTest thread.

Maybe we need someone to keep track of all bugs and solutions in seperate post or perhaps even wiki, so that the cooks can concentrate on other things. I was thinking of doing this but since i have limited time i just cannot promise i could keep it up.

Ofcourse i mean no disrespect, i understand it's all done in free time and am happy with what i get.

I think the storage card issue is solved in this thread.

Maybe thats not the right place for answering questions (because its the bug thread :-) ).

But you can fix the prob with the original ringtone.
Take the original windows ringtone ring-windowsmobile (or some other) from your windows directory, rename it and copy to windows/rings.... this tone will work...

Well if you dont' want to sift through 50+ pages of the original post, you'll soon be creating a 3rd BB4.1 thread when this grows to 50+ pages! Where ever you create a bug thread you'll get a ton of responses and a lot of those will be people who just refuse to read the thread. Everyone will just be rehashing the same thing! Example - htc backlight bug, and "how do i use the cube" queries. They keep getting asked and they've been answered.

Unfortunately one way or another you'll need to sift through posts from people who don't read!

If you don't want to read / do something, why did you upgrade ?
if all people would read the posts, then this thread maybe wouldn't have 50 pages ? For me your statement sounds like laziness.

Just 2 remember for all here...:

with this position you just reach things like this:

And what would we all do when there are no more developers here?
Just read and think about....
