This is mine at 192 dpi mode.

The meter bar is from pBar. This is also used for application switching, comm manager,and limited application launching.

The time and date comes from registry edit, and appears on all application, so that I need not come back to today screen to see the date and time.

The little circle with rotation mark is the dictionary lookup, and appears on internet explorer or word,where I may need help with the definition of any word.

I need to watch my data quota, so this status must be visible. Same for key stock investment.

The main application launcher is iLauncher.

Screen rotation is done with hardware button, so that I can still do it when browsing the net in full screen.

Pocketbreeze and ILauncher. Mine is almost exactly the same except my launcher has 4 tabs to his 2.

PBar was a space and resource efficient task manager,launcher, and comm manager. Do google 'xda pBar', and you will find it.

PBar is supposed to be able to display date and time, but there is an unresolved issue of background color that mess up the task bar.

The easiest way to put up the date and time is to do the Following:
- use sktools to first go to tune up/system tweak tab and somewhere in the middle of the screen display both time and date. Also, say no to show clock om today screen only.
- next, use a registry editor to edit the following key to these values.
a. local machine/nls/override/ssdte = 'ss/MM '. Make sure sure you leave two spaces at the back, else you will have a square to the right of date when it is displayed on the task bar.
b. local machine/nls/override/stfmt=' HHmm' Make sure there is one space before the HH., else the date and time will not look good.

All the above values are without quite.

I use WM6 last rom HTC Asia.You must to install wisbar program and theme in devise after that go to menu setting .clix customize ,clix import theme,select theme location ( i keep theme file in microdrive ,program file )

WAD for the first 2 shots, had a little help from a write up done by a member of Aximsite and for the last i have the spb pocketplus and phone suite and Pi2007 today plugins and also WAD.

Bit laggy actually however i can still live with it, thought of overclocking my Advantage for better performance...

I like the iPhone-looks icons of your today screen. I just converted the icons to be used with Spb Pocket Plus.

Just extract the file and copy it to Pocket Plus folder (\Programs Files\PocketPlus\Icons)

I discovered that it's possible to have separate background images in portrait and landscape modes! The image changes automatically when you rotate the screen. So I can look at my 6-month-old in landscape and my 3-year-old in portrait. I used Resco Photo Explorer to set the background images and Pocket Controller Pro to capture the screen shot.

It's rather weird. Does the 'glass' pieces on the screen came from the unit or the car? They look too big and too thin for a car window glass.. but they look way too thick and solid for a touch screen.

You don't need a cab for this simple job, if all you want is the glossy black bars. Use tweaks2k2, go to tweaks/system colors/wm5, click the black radio button, and pick the darkest part of the black color, then apply. There you have it.

Magic button does not have the right color to blend in with wm6. Use pBar instead. This space and memory efficient utility also replaces your comm manager, HTC X button, battery meter, and allows you to have shortcuts for up to 9 applications. It works with 96,128,and 192 dpi.

When using tweaks2k2, be warned that this has a bug that could potentially force a hard reset. Do NOT use its soft reset function, either directly or indirectly ( by saying yes to a soft reset prompt). If asked if you want to proceed to soft reset, always click cancel, then use your stylus to push the reset hole instead. If you do not observe this, your device will freeze at the primary screen, and the only way out is a hard reset! So be warned.

If you like a nice theme to go with the glossy black bars, go to pocketpctheme.com to get them free.

Enjoy the new looks.

there's a whole bunch of icons you can use for claunch/ilaunch. there's even a bunch with the iphone theme. downloading a set will give you icons in *.ico format...which means you can readily customize your pc / laptop. what i did was save selected some of the pictures of the icons in *.bmp for use in claunch.

Either way, final icons or a tip, should do the trick for 128bit resolution users!!

Nice tip! it worked directly for the 988 library, it worked for the 999 library with few adjustments (add 2 pixels to width after disabling aspect ratio) but for the 977 after an hour of different test settings i didn't found the right combination.
Anyway I'm happy with these two for the moment, thanks for the help.

can anyone give me a quick tip on how to install the ".png" icon sets that are posted earlier on this thread? I extracted the sets to the pocketplus/icons folder however I cannot see them under the custom icons when I go to change mine.

on the sreen tap and hold and in the menu select properties in the page menu
select pocket music in the list and reduce the vertical position

Playing around with Theme Maker McDeb, which seems to be the only one which really takes account of 640x480, I made one for my favourite car of all time.
I really take my hat off to all you guys, with the really smart themes and in the high resolutions... but I wanted something which is just basic and simple, and really displays the car.
I'd bet there are apps and plug-ins out there which would enable a picture slideshow as well, but for now, this will do for me.
I'm still coming to terms with the plug-in component aspect of the WM desktop, and really don't want to spend much more time on making the desktop look so much better as I do to play with the other aspects which I know nothing about as yet... like decent Video output on this Ameo for example... rather than the "novelty" output I get on our Blue Angels.

"novelty" as in you can see it, but wouldn't want to watch much of it that way.

I just deleted the latest version of FairUse Wizard (2.8 and a free download for the full edition)... which is my prefered conversion software for DVD... as it bombs out now at three quarters finished on my tin box pc and I won't spare the time to find out why.

Re-installing the previous stable version 2.6, I have set about using the standard Ipod conversion to MP4 that is in it, and converted a nice old UK TV series called UltraViolet... about Vampires.
It seems to play pretty well, provided I take the advice of yet another philanthropic poster here, who wisely advises setting TCPMP to Options, Video, Video Driver, ATI Imageon.
