Touchflo doesn't work why?
- The touch.dll must be replaced bij de touchflo (touch.dll and other dll's) cab. The problem the cab installs Touchflo but the touch.dll and dll's won't be overwrite because the touch.dll and other dll's are still active.

TOuchflo works only when the kitchen builds the rom (with oem package touchflo) with touchflo insite

You have to try installing again step by step. The first time I installed Touch flo it also did not work, I got the black screen and quickly reset device. After reset I followed steps 4-6 and it worked. Try again, you might have some luck.

Helmi's rom doesn't include ramdisk. Therefore, in my cfg.txt, I did not run extrom.cab. Could this be the reason why I can get it working?

Is the only thing stopping us using the touchscreen the lack of a touch.dll that works with TouchFLO on the BA - as in we just need to get it into the ROM?

Or is it actually impossible to hack a version of it to work on the BA?

Why Not? Since EXTROM is on the SD card and not in main memory, there is no limitation of how many things can be instaled via the autorun cfg.txt file. The only thing that you have to be aware of is that they all get installed onto the device automatically and you can't tell it to install onto the SD card so you have to make sure there is enough room on the device. Also, if any of the install cabs need user input or need an "OK" at the end, the autoinstall will get stuck waiting for your input. Other than that, it works great!!

yes used the assign button to flip the cube... hope some brilliant people in xda-developer can figure out howto use touch instead button.. to our BA :D

I can't get my O2 IIs to run the touchflo/biotouch as well. Getting very tired with this. Just wondering if ther is some hardware difference between each BA / SX66 / O2 IIs that is preventing us from getting it working! I really don't think it is any of the cabs from xplode and helmi.

The cfg.txt file is a simple text file that is run automatically after a HR. just edit it and put in any cabs that you want installed and it will intall them after every HR. Do a search for the commands that you can use. Shouldn't be hard to find.

I was doing a hard reset earlier and after installing almost of the cabs from xplode, I found my BA was slow. Then I went on to restore my contacts, messages etc. Then my BA hanged on me so without preparation of my ExtROM directory, I did a HR.

There was only two cabs that managed to get installed:

ArcsoftMMS4.2.8.1.cab (from xplodes cab2)
MMS_enable.cab (from xplodes cab2)

I then proceeded to install ButtonFLO.CAB and did the hardware button thingy.

Then I tried the button and shortcut sequence and low and behold, the touchflo worked. I couldn't believe my eyes. I played around with it and finally decided to try a softreset and see if it will still work.

Well, guess what, it didn't work again after the soft reset.

Damn, it's a really mouse and cat game with TouchFlo.

I want to ask if is possible to custom the buttons of this application or i must use the application connected?

for example videos button open the the picture and videos; is not possible to associate the button to another graphic applications????

After I put in the cabs I wanted, even for the 1st try, it didn't work. So, it must be some of the cabs that is giving the problem.

I installed cab.rar and cab2.rar before, then i tried to install TouchFlo. It didn't work.

Always black screen (anyway it doesn't crash, can return to today screen by pressing others hardware buttons)

Here's good news for all:

Found out that 2 apps I use will cause black screen with ButtonFlo:

1. Pocketzenphone 6.2 beta 6 (6.103 is ok)
2. MS VC 1.6
3. ZoomSMS

Here's what I had installed:

1. Arcsoft MMS Composer 4.2.8.1
2. Arcsoft MMS Enable
3. jasjamming & Bepe ButtonFLO (from xplode in this thread)
4. HTC Audio Manager (xplode cab1)
5. PocketCM Keyboard v0.8
6. psShutXP
7. Resco Explorer 6.10 with registry & FTP add-in
8. HTC Home (from xplode in this thread)
9. emunutz HTC Home Customizer v0.8b
10. gullum activate cube (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=323166 - now don't need to click short-cut of Biotouch, just hardware button assigned to Touch Flo)

Though I agree this is just eye-candy, it's good to get it to work and see how useful it is to me. Hope the above information will help all of you.

Couldn't resist it... reloaded buttonflo.cab and activatecube.cab, turned off for 30s and soft reset. Behold; No Black screen deal it just works :) ... Nice one Gullum

I'll keep it going for a day or 2 have a fiddle with the registry settings (start-out info from same post above) and and post update.

i still dont understand , is it a challenge between US and HTC to get the TouchFlo working on our devices ? because if it's NOT , it doesnt worth to work on it , it's just a silly application with an average GUI that is somehow useless.

touchflo will never work properly until someone rewrites touch.dll for every device, noone will do it because it is very hard work and requires a lot of knowledge. And TouchFLO is only TouchFLO in HTC Touch (Elf) because only there it can be operated with fingers. In all other devices it operates with button (maybe except Wizard)

-remove touchflo e activatecube cabs
-install touchflo cab
-soft reset
-install activatecube cab
-set record button to touchflo

I have to agree guys, this flash application works just like the cube (I do not own an Elf), but from the videos that I have seen, I can tell it is almost the same. The only thing would be to be able to start it up without losing the home screen (I am sort of getting used to the HTC Home plugin :)
All in all, this does work fairly nicely. I will play with it a bit more and see what happens.

BTW, Xplode... Never say Never My Friend....
... remember what they said about the BAs not being able to run WM5 ;)

I'm probably missing something here. When I press bottom centre, I got the screen with Contacts, Phone, etc. I don't know how to get to another screen?

have a look at the youtube.. but basically, you can get to the next screen (the other side of the cube...) by sliding your finger on any of the soft keys horizontally

I just dont know how to change the soft keys properly... oh well... not really useful for me... htc home is enuf i guess...

it works! but so slowly and it cant rotate on screen, so i have to push the touchflo key time and time to rotate 3d cube!

the touchscreen driver is not compatible with touchflo so you can do this

1.Install this cab (http://rapidshare.com/files/52913393/ButtonFLO.cab)
2.Power off for few seconds (at least 10-15) and softreset (in order to save reg's)
3.Map button of your choice to touchflo.lnk (i used record button)
4.Push the mapped button once and wait 3-4 seconds
5.Run start=>programs=>Biotouch and again wait
6.Push the mapped button again

From this point on, there may be 2 things:

I. TouchFLO works - This means that you did it!
II. You get black screen - If you get black screen hit reset right away (my way was press power buton first, wait a bit and then hit the reset)

After every reboot if you want it to work you must follow steps from 4 to 6 for the 3d cube

I have that working on my Hermes. It didn't work initally but after many soft resets, it finally works and works well after. So guys don't give up.

A few observations:
1. After the keyboard is slide out, or the screen orientation is changed from Portrait to landscape, intentionally or accidentally, the Cube would not appear. Have to re-launched the BioTouch again. I wish this could be fixed.

2. The only way to spin the Cube is to click the hard key that has been assigned to start the Cube. So it only spins in one direction. I wish the Cube can be spinned both ways using the D-Pad.

Wow.. I've never seen this application. It looks nice.

I have followed the procedure on a Trinity and worked fine.
It is very important to wait after launching biotouch for few seconds before touching the button again.
1st press button (it won't work)
2nd start biotouch and WAIT 3 secs
3rd press button again

Try hard reseting your device (camera & record together, then press reset with stylus once whilst these buttons are held)
