guys, still not sure bout this one. I have got asefsefs today skin installed but have 2 problems.

1) everything looks really pale (maybe this is something i changed in HHC?)
2) all the numbers are scattered all over the screen!

i have changed all the settings correctly, but it still doesn't work :(

for point 1 .. have you checked the transparency level of the background ? you can set it when you set the background image.

yo, 1) no idea wots happenin! post a screenie

2) easy turn off all rows, then activate messages, date/time, and the 2nd Tasks on the list!

shud be fine, see if it works

i agree with asefsef, it does look nice with htc weather. here is my screenshot with it, we are experience some bad weather as you can see from the pic :)

Hey There...

Could someone tell me how to remove the HTC Home plugin tabs?
...its maybe a bit difficult to explaine, but i'am using the HTC Home Plugin beneath the Battery Status plugin to display the weather.

The problem is, that I then also display the Home plugin tabs
(or tab, since I only got one, the waether tab).
But the one tab/icon nags me a bit...

Is the anyway work around this? To remove that tabs/icon?

i downloaded ultimatelauncher (amazing!) and played around with it for damn near two days to get it just how i wanted it.

one problem i'm currently having is i cant get HHC to change the plugin with my settings, but that's not that bad since i finally don't have to use the start menu anymore (hate it!)

here's mine. modified focaldesign2 and bluemetalaxe's greyphone - used batterystatus instead of rltoday on top, then ul with weatherpanel embedded. icons are from bluemetalaxe and another set (can't remember where i found them).

used vjokbutt to get the functions of the ok/close button - mapped to hardware button with aebuttonplus. got rid of top and bottom bar with vjtoggletoday.

the bottom row of 5 tabs are from left to right - home, agenda (todayagenda embedded into ul), apps, sys/utls, favorite contacts/photos

But problem when USB is plugged in, you can't see the LG icons at the bottom.
Frame are perfect, just that when I plug in the USB. I would get the roll bar on the right, and my LG icons hidden away.

simple thing to do is to activate the advanced connection in usb to pc to avoid getting the icon in tray

That would disabled my USB to PC connection, which means I can't Sync at all.

Make the three icon image files (HH_HOME_calls, mail and messaging) 85 x 17 pixels, put the icon you want in the image, overwrite the original files and the zeros will sit at the left of the image.

It's still not done, its going to be a complete theme.. dialer, launcher, ect.

Im trying to change the start back to black instead of that grey, I cant figure it out yet though.. I dont want a flat black but the same as the one thats already there but black

I'm pretty sure that is as black as it goes with the wm6 style. If you have sktools change the topbar and softkey color to 160 in the tuneup section and that will be the blackest it gets.

Center-Spb Phone suite for Vmail, Mail, Text and Missed call as well as Bluetooth and Speaker mode.
Bottom-LG Home

I could add more programs in between Spb Phone Suite and LG Home, but decided less is more.

Hello all,

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.. :D

I'm trying to add transparency to the bottom and top bar from windows but I can't seem to find were I have to change. I located some bmp files in windows root directory that I thought would do but I changed them and nothing happened (even after a soft reset). :confused:

Anyone knows how to do this? (by the way I have been searching the forum for it but couldn't find anything yet)

but these seem a bit complicated -

are there some themes/skins/customizations available which can be easily installed on the phone without radically changing the the original software?

I am the same but i downloaded HTC Home Customerizer, its just one install of the .CAB and you can change loads of stuff from there, great for beginners like me!!

Give it a try, you'll love it!

I love this set up, and can't wait to test it out. I especially like the clock. Very clean and professional. I would add am/pm to the clock however, hence some people like the 12hr and not the 24hr.

Here is my home screen, which may i add wouldnt be possible if it werent for this site! keep up the good work guys, this site makes things like changing my home screen and all sorts of stuff easy for amateurs like me! Thanks! :D

HTC Home Customiser
Wisbar Advanced 3
And also Opmon which for some odd reason decides to sometimes work and sometimes not! :confused:

I am also looking for a windows vista background to complete my theme if anyone knows of where i can get one??

Hey Guys,

By now it seems there are so many apps and tweaks for the Touch/Elf that i would find it interesting to see what people have done to the TodayScreen on their Touch.

It would be cool if ppl could attach a screenshot of what the Todayscreen looks like.

I myself have not done much. I have installed SPB Mobile shell and SPB phonesuite and Todayagenda. I have attached a Sreenshot.

Hope to see a lot of cool screenshots so i can get some inspiration :-)

ok, Im not gna make a thread for this. (its not That big =P)

so here's the how to:

1. battery status - install it!
2. My zip files from my original post (1-2pages ago) - download and unzip the entire contents except "wall.png" into your "windows\batterystatus" folder
3. in battery status choose "rainbow" as theme under advanced config
4. turn on show more indicators as well as show cpu speed (well thats if you want it to lok exactly like mine)
5. wall.png, thats just an image, copy it somewhere and set it as today background. (aka, copy to my pictures folder on your device, and select it as wallpaper in "pictures and videos")

6. OPTIONAL , i've got my current setup with htc home's weather. So, install htc home if you havn't already, and set transparent background for the theme. and htc weather will rock your today setup!

I'm using this theme, but one thing I would really like is another indicator for voicemail (next to missed calls). When you click it would call voicemail. I just want a replacement for the stock vmail Today item, but none of the mods/themes seem to use it.

that's very strange. because this theme doesn't make any changes in your system, only some png graphic files in the windows folder.

i don't really know the cause of the problem.

you should try the other way - not the cab. download the zip from the first post and follow the installation steps. maybe it works for you.

I changed the today screen to load only one plugin, that is BatteryStatus ( aka HomeScreen++) and skinned it to replace Htc Home special thanks to Slikkie's theme and Ababrekar's. My device boots much faster http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon7.gif !

the bottom bar of htc touch has two programs listed. calender and contacts. Is it possible to show some other applications instead of them

Say instead of calender i want messaging. I saw some post with some cab file for doing that. But when i installed it i did not get any application installed to change them .

I have HTC Touch Elf stock and I intentionally got rid of the 3d cube, but kept all my sliding gesture functions. I did a hard reset, got Sprite backup , installed Throttlelauncher with Rumballs Weatherpanel and AC
S2U2, S2V, S2P, with a few other things and my phone ROCKS! Search these items and the others in my signature, read ALL the install instructions, read somemore here at xda, search here, read somemore here, and pretty soon you will be bragging about your IPhone killer and answering other people's questions here.
How did you upgrade to 6.1? With a cooked ROM or what?
