Hey Guys,

By now it seems there are so many apps and tweaks for the Touch/Elf that i would find it interesting to see what people have done to the TodayScreen on their Touch.

It would be cool if ppl could attach a screenshot of what the Todayscreen looks like.

I myself have not done much. I have installed SPB Mobile shell and SPB phonesuite and Todayagenda. I have attached a Sreenshot.

Hope to see a lot of cool screenshots so i can get some inspiration :-)

I use pocket controller pro, but there are free solutions (MyMobiler I believe ;)

How did you manage to have the SPB shell Today plugin to go down on the Today screen? Mine stays on the top of the Today screen and the option to move it up-down on Today settings is greyed out. Registry change or something?

Just move it down in Settings > Today > Tabs

I already said that the up-down buttons are greyed out on Today settings when I select the SPB plugin ;)

Its has 6 tabs, but mine only shows 4 of them. HTC Home customizer has an easy way of settings which tabs you would like to see (See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319308)

You need to install the HTC Home 5 or 6 tab version. You will find it here in this forum.

It's wisbar advance desktop, Doreen's theme (http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9833).
I got bored of the HTC home plug so decided to go back to wisbar. Note, I don't use the taskbar version, just desktop. Weather Panel is required too and the developer is AWOL so use at your own risk.

My own personal experience, I find I have increased stability (15-20mb free program even after 4+ days uptime) and longer battery life as I have greater control over weather polling.

Just my $0.02...!

Yes, using a touch but using a custom rom (big memory, no ext rom, 4mb pagepool).

The wallpaper I use in that screenshot has some kind of shadow drawn under the HTC Home plugin, to give it "more depth":), so, if you use HTC Home it would be alright.
In the attachment there is a Today theme that uses "shadowed" wallpapers, HTC Home plugin skin, and separated wallpapers for "custom" use :)

Here's my udpated sceenshot.

Thanks JUVS for the bat/mem meters. Interestingly, my program memory is slightly higher, yet my meter is a lot lower than in your screenshot. I have flashed to the big storage rom though, so it may be taking my total avail into consideration (51+ mb).

Because now when i try to replace them, it says i cant because my touch is full (its not) or it might be protected

and one of the tabs is for audio.... its set on media player,

Put the Iphone edit folder in the HTC Home Customizer\FILES\icons folder. Home Customizer (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319308&highlight=customizer)

I change some progr. icons (TomTom/HHC..etc) in the launcher on this way.
I put the icons in the HTCHome folder. Then go to HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome\Launcher\0-tot-8. Change IconPath, for example: \HTCHome\TomTom.png.
If someone knows a better way to change the program icons, let me know.

i now have the 6 tabs. and would like another 6 tabs under it and then be able to assign these icons to programs.

and is it possible to change the icons to what i like, and not having to use the default icons that the program maker assignt to them?

Thats because it is applying default transparency to the background image. Instead browse to the image using the built in image viewer and choose the image as your background. Make sure to keep transparency at 0 when it asks you.

Since a week i'm going crazy to get the home plug-in v. 2.0 working on my Touch (original italian rom).
I can't get 6 tab in my today screen.
I posted here, and i wish anyone would help me.
I've disabled the original home plugIn in settings/today/elements by getting off the flag in htc-today.
Then, i soft resetted and installed the version 2.0 of the today plugIn, just downloaded from http://www.pocketemu.com.
After installation i've soft resetted again, and enabled the plugIn.
Otherwise, i can't get the plugIn working. In the today screen, in the place where usually is placed the plug-in i can only get a blank space.

Both the white and black versions are using Wisbar Advance. The black version is also using VistaHideBattery (attached in the post above) to put the color battery meter accros the top.

Wisbar Advance 3 is a task bar (top and bottom) skinning program. By itself it does not change anything on the desktop and therefore you can use it with the HTC Home plug. Where you can run into problems is if you opt for Wisbar Advance Desktop (WAD). WAD is the program that allows custom desktop icons, meters, pages, docks, etc and that program has problems with the HTC Home plugin. WAD can be used with or without Wisbar Advance and both are pay programs.

I have been trying to find a version of HTC Plus that works on Touch all day. Which one are you using? I've had no luck!

another question.

How can I change only the icons from the profile tab?

With HHC you can choose the icon set you want... I choose "color"... everything fine... but now all icons change... the "+" in the favourite tab, the icons of the profile tab etc...
How can I change only the upper icons with the device on it (f.e. the Touch Icon)?

That comm manager screen on the cube is awesome, where did you get it and how did you configure it.

All this information and configuration you guys do is blowing me away, only brought my Touch 2 days ago and I have been stuck on your website ever since.

There are sooooo many screens I would love to use on my touch but I don't seem to be able to get them to work. I was using the HTC plug in but the weather quit working. When the plug in is first installed it works but to set the city to custom you have to reset and when I do that it will no longer download the weather. So I switched to a V2R plug in but most of the icons don't work to access programs. I get this message: "File cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file." I get this on a lot of icons and don't have a clue how to fix it. (I am not a tech god like most of you here) I was having this problem with the HTC plug in too. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!!!:confused: :o

Hi guys

I'll try my luck here. I have a HTC Touch Elf and have been trying to find a working HTC Plus. Anyone here that can point me in the right direction? I get the HTC Plus! tap in Today, but its not on the list. Any cooked roms that include it or a cap that might override the shared dll's ( read somewhere that it might be why it wont work. )
