choppy ringtones?

Anyone else have their ringtones playback very "choppy"? On my Cingular 8125, it plays for a second then stops, then plays, then stops... Seems to happen all the time no matter if lot of apps running or not. I think all my tingtones are midi files, i prefer just to have the melody of a song rather than a full MP3 playing music/vocals/drums.

are they original ringtone or did you add them yourself? if you added them yourself and they wouldnt work try using a converter to make them into an mp3 I had several that i couldnt get to work but when i converted them to
mp3 format they worked fine.
