you need version 1.73

No 1.73 does not seem work either and neither does 1.75 (or Softick Card Export)

The only thing I found working is Softick Card Export II v3.05 (only this and later versions)...

I heard that after installing the above, WM5torage is known to work too, because it needs the drivers that Card Export uses...
Don't know what's treu about that...

And why instll WM5torage when you get Card Export to work?

I can confirm Softick will work, as good if not better than WM5torage. (except for the free part  ) WM5torage won't work on the 8525 either. And as the other member stated, make sure it's 3.05 version. Any other version has bugs with WM6.

Jep, I know Softick is not free...
(It's a shame!)

But someone told something about regularly removing a reg key ro stretch the trial period...
I don't think Softick intended it to work that way... ;)

WM5torage does work well when connecting to a Linux computer. I transfer files all day with my 8925. I get the same "card not formatted" error when I tested in XP. The author, Ingvarr, states that problem lies in the USB driver that came with the Kaiser units and that if he could fix it, he would have already.

Then what is Softick doing differently then? Their (commercial) application Card Export II does exactly the same as WM5Storage, but they have succesfully updated their version 3.05 to support the TytN II.

I think Card Export II uses its own proprietary USB driver. It works like a champ. An interesting thing is, now that I have Card Export II installed, WM5toarge works as well. I haven't purchased the CEII yet, but am wondering if I can find out which USB driver is installed and use it in conjunction with WM5torage.

Maybe someone here with the brain will find out.

How come the WM5Torage 1.78beta2 link was removed? I downloaded it from this thread. Should work but not tested yet!

WM5torage is still working after the trial of Softick Card Export II has expired.
I changed the registry key HKLM\Software\Softick\Card Export\Installation time to force an expiration.

You still need to start the Tray Client (\Program Files\Softick\Card Export II\CardExportSetup.exe) before using WM5torage, though.
Tip: set Card Export II not to start at startup and create your own shortcut in \Windows\Startup

Update: WM5Torage stops working when the trial is expired. I modified the registry so that the trayclient thought it was expired. W5Torage still worked. Now that the actual trial period is passed, also WM5torage stops working.
Helas..

I`m using DCS v1.6 and when I installed WM5Torage 1.8 on my Kaiser there is new message "To synchronize this device, you must install AcyiveSync 4.5 or newer on your desktop computer" but I have AS 4.5 installed on my pc.

One year later... CardExport is still unreliable, sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. I gave up....
