I am updating this thread to show the procedures I used to install the app:

1. install flashlite2, you can find the cab file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1491058&postcount=2

2. install cubelauncher, you can find the cab file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1491061&postcount=3

3. install V2, you can find the zip file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1556948&postcount=91

unzip this file v2_real.zip and copy them to: /Prgram Files/Szabi/CubeLauncher/

This file will remove the "demo" on the main page and "contact" page.

4. install Cube_real_edited.zip, you can find the zip file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1572068&postcount=117

unzip this file Cube_real_edited.zip and copy them to: /Prgram Files/Szabi/CubeLauncher/
This file solved the slow refresh problem.

5. Simple flash program to start the cube (I haven't tried it yet):

Try to save and exit after enter each cube screen ( there's a bug in the config tool).

When using this interface permanent as my phone interface, I find some problems (not bugs) in terms usage.

1. I do not see notification in case I have a missed call. I have to depend on LED.

2. I do not see notification in case I have a missed SMS. I have to depend on LED.

3. I do not know if my phone is in Sound, Vibrate or Silent mode.

Now you have Service Provider and battery info, it is good to put above mentioned there, just a proposal. :D

By the way, how to put bg jpg during the cube menu mode?

Hi!

This is a FlashLite application, I'm sorry, but the FlashLite is limited access to any programs, and the Windows Mobile.
So not also neither to query additional data, neither directly call and directly send a messages. I'll like these characteristic , but would be needed for it running a virtual server on your mobile... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :(

The bg.jpg you to see, then you are the mainscreen. you replace this jpg file freely- but only cube using mode this picture not look.

Oh, and immportant: i saw for more users difficult starting the cube for the MainScreen this is because he is what there is at you software package invoke the cube enough to touch the mainscreen bottom center area, and when you release that, the cube will invoked.
launch there is not need in that direction that upwards push it your finger. This characteristic the new attachment part.

I used the hidden (& free!) MS flashplayer and this one is able to do the job. ONLY: I do not have any icons on the buttons and the buttons do not launch the applications attached to them. Dunno why, maybe I'll find out later, or somebody else does ofcourse

To remove the demo text at the bottom, extract the info.bgfile from the attachment into "\Program Files\Szabi\CubeLauncher" and overwrite the existing one.
It's safe to make a backup first of the original info.bgfile in case somethings wrong...

I have some tips for you all, if the config tool damages the transperency of your PNG's you can add them manually in Icons folder
Phone = screen 1 so if you want to add the first icon in screen 1 you have to name it 1_1.png
Speed Dial is screen 2 - icons for the contacts are added in ContactsIcons folder with name as folows: Fav1.png for the first contact (to Fav6.png in this demo)
Progs is screen 3 - icons are added the same way as in screen1 (example 1 icon should be named 3_1.png)
Office is screen 4 - icons are added the same way as in screen1
Settings is screen 5 - icons are added the same way as in screen1

You can use the configurator for scaling the contact images (if there are photos added into contacts) but when it asks you to scale program icons you should choose no (i did that because my png's transperency was switched to white and the icons have looked ugly).

Requirement : Flashlite2.1 on your PPC. This file install first. (download link: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/devices/index.html?tab:downloads=1) or

The zip file unpack the any folder on ppc, and testing you my cube.

The background image any 240*320 jpg file, the name bg.jpg this folder. –this file you can replace any bitmap

The data text files (Page1.txt…Page5.txt) is PROGRAM pages (1,3,4 and 5th pages) on cube 6 defined command, You write anything name and command in this file. (sorry, now must editing with notepad on pc or ppc)

&Name1= something &Command1= „fully command path” -(this way fully way to *exe or *lnk in the windows\start menu\)

I will make this data write from program, but I'm sorry,not yet avaible this function. I'm sorry, i cant write c++ and any program languages.

&Telnumber1= TRUE NUMBER (simple, without”” –and not international format)

-the 2nd pages on the cube is speeddial works. –You can replace contact icons in folder, Fav1.png-Fav6.png normal or transparency png bitmap.

You can replace the all icon in this program, in The "Icons" and the "ContactsIcons" folder.
The program icons is 50*50 pixel normal or transparency PNG, the Contact icons is 80*67 pixel png file.



Start the program from filemanager, run the CUBE.swf file. – you can make this file shortcut on start menu or hardware button

If you see the background pictures in my swf file (with any info the panel), touch on the analog clock, that will invisible.

Invoke the cube, You touch the bottom center background image.

Rotating cube the you finger (press-pull-release) or left or right joy key.

Quit the cube, you press the left signal icon bottom, all close this application you press the right signal icon bottom. –not little solution yet.

(bottom center the little phone icon, if you press and release that, then your phone vibrating, if you rotating the cube)


I’m tested wm6 HTC Wizard, on my ppc all command correctly.

My big problem, I can make flash animation and program, but I not write c++ and any program language, this flash program cannot write text or xml file on ppc.

This program testing, fully working my HTC Wizard, (on NBD7.4 wm6 ROM), but good way an .exe frame against, or rather an exe program that write the config text (or xml) file FROM THIS CUBE.

I please You, You try, apply this, and send me your bug reeports and feedback.


Okay, this list is the first cube version readme file.

With The cubeconfig you can browse programs shortcut or exe, you can browse the your contacts (with picture) and attention: you can settings, the your phone vibrating or not, when you rotating the cube, and
(!) you can settings keep to the main screen (Whit the info panel)

But you can this settings apply manualy: in the PAGE1.txt file the &Mainscreen="off"& function you can write in the file simple notepad.
Now sensitive the Y-axis movie, if you can pull your finger bottom to up, the cube will refreshed the all datas, if you touch up to bottom, the cube will invisible and you back to the main screen. If you selected (with cubeconfig or manual) keep to the mainscreen, when you starting the application, now the cube will the startpage, and if you pull your finger up to bottom, the program will QUIT to the windows.

The CubeConfig requirement, the .NET CF2 sp1 for ppc. - this app work me correctly.

Thanks ByKa for the upates, the cube here works flawless i use the Cube2 SMS version (v2_W_SMS.zip from ppcgeeks forums) and no problems so far with it, the only problems i had are with the configuration tool which brakes the transperency of the PNG's also use for launching the Cubelaunch.exe (tray icon) sometimes when i am in the main screen i have to wait 2-3 secs before i can launch the cube (but it is not a big deal) I use custom WM6 rom (the one in my signature) on the base of Helmi_c rom for Blueangel, also this flash cube works 5-6 times faster than the original one (TouchFLO, ButtonFLO) and it is compatible with any WM5, WM6 PocketPC device with FlashLite

We all are waiting for updates, the contacts, sms and picture viewer will be awesome

Is it possible to adapt cube for wm2003, i runed cube using smartFlash(the best result no problems with the screen), and i dont get icons and working links to shortcuts and i dont know is it problem of diferent paths or some kind accesibility to the file system between flash lite and macromedia flash 7 ? It would be wery useful software for the wm2003 users because where no any o this kind for wm2003 like spbMobile shel or other. So for my opinion alot of people who use Magician's whould pay for this kind of app.

I noticed that I have found a memory leak in this program that I am running on my Blue Angel WM6. Everytime I launch the cube and quit the program it keeps the process saplaywm.exe running. Then if I launch the program again it will create this process again and again. I am using memmaid and have to go into Running Processes to terminate this process manually. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem as well.

Still has a few things to iron out, but overall, this one is much better than the original. Congratualtions on this amazing work!!
BTW, any news on when you will be launching the Picture Viewer? Not putting any pressure on you, but I am just curious since it looks great on the YouTube video.

Version 1 : really fast, but takes up to 70% of CPU Usage :(

Version 2 : SLOW, takes about 50% of CPU Usage (SK Tools)

I like the configurable .txt files (i've copyed all the .txt from version 1 to version 2 and it works, because I can't configure via "cubeconfig").

When this programme is in C++, does it takes less of CPU Usage???
In POCKETCM the transaction to SMS is a little bit like you're cube... maybe you can ask TENE to help you. But overall .... NICE WORK

What I did before was to find the icon from its website, then I use photoshop to customize the icon to fit for the ppc. :o

This cool, and like, but the need prev. rlToday, Mortscript, Flashlite, .NET and by any change any application installed.
In this way not to be sure, this together a simple application.
If you can a simple mode to query the missed calls, sms and email, I like receive that.

You just need Mortscript and flashlite for your cubelauncher. Not rltoday.
Mortscript create a file :

I refresh this file every 5 seconds.
Just a problem : flashlite open the file to read and mortscript to write.
So i launch in your project the mortscript every 5 seconds and in the end of mortscript i exit with : KillScript("Sys-to-Flash.mscr").

If you want i can send you the mortscript file and the info.bgfile.

Oh, your V2 is very good but slower.
So i modifi it to refresh battery and signal just every 5 seconds and Now your cube is as fast as the first.

Woluld you create a zip file with all the most updated necessary files? (including flash lite, the Cube itself, common configuration files, the prog. for modifying the configuration, etc.)

and how 2 use it
any way I replaced ur file but I still did not get more than battery & network %.
No missed calls, massages,...etc

For the battery problem.
On my pocket if cube is open, my pocket never turn off, because you refresh battery and signal in permanence.

You delete all datas that before the &Vibra= variables!

I speak to Brandon, coming complet the new CubeConfig with 12 contact, 12 contact picture, setting your background picture and now is a SAVE button in the main menu, to save your datas one per one.

the only major thing i've noticed, is when i'm on in the screen that comes up after you open a contact, if you select the text box you can type in text but can not escape the box (or maybe i just didn't try hard enough)

It's possible with MortScript, With RunOnpowerOn function.
But this create an notification queue and you need an other script (or Pocket Mechanic) to remove it.

Yes, instal MortScript on your ppc; this soft execute the ObiWab.mscr.

You have made an excellent application which I must commend you on. I'm currently porting my own version of the HTC Cube Launcher but find my app uses a lot more memory than yours does.

Even with framerate set to 100fps it still plays slow and I make sure not too many symbols are on the stage.

Could you offer any hints on better memory management and speed ups please?

his cube is just animation now but does not open any applications yet

i think you are few steps ahead as yours is fully functional & i also can not wait for the configuration file, that will make things so easy

i also think the only thing i like in Slither2006 cube is that you can go fom today screen with all your plugins straight to the cube using "ftouchflo", also when you slide your finger down it closes flash completely again using "efrostminimize"

I know that the clock/date/pretty background are nice but my today plugins make my life so easy & makes my phone very functional
is it possible to get your "working icons" cube to start by ftouchflo (straight to cube without background) and to close by efrostminimze t today instead of going to background again?

2. install NETCFv2.wm.armv4i.cab onto your storage card
3. unzip Cube_real_edited.zip and copy them to: /Prgram Files/Szabi/CubeLauncher/ (make sure you hit yes to replace all)
4. now you go into the Cube_Config (under /Prgram Files/Szabi/CubeLauncher) and uncheck main screen. Exit and hit yes, no, and no.
5. install efrost's FTouchFlo (alpha 4)
6. under FTouchFloConfig, set
DownUpApp:/Program Files/Adobe/flashlite/saplaywm.exe
DownUpAppCmdLine:/Program Files/Szabi/CubeLauncher/Cube2.swf
* If FlashLite is installed onto the storage card then use,
DownUpApp:/Storage Card/Program Files/Adobe/flashlite/saplaywm.exe

That's it. I just followed the steps and it works.

Yes, ahmedfikry, the flash cube can starting without the MainScreen, you can running directly the cube. You need for this unselectselect in the cubeconfig the mainscreen checkbox (-i making for this a files that very faster starting)

is it possible to modify the lower part of the cube sides to get rid of the text (phone, office..etc) and maybe make it plain or similar to the original cube (the demo ones in Slither) .. that would give users the option to use any links they want and may make it look more slik

1-If you remove the bar of the cube showing (Prog, Office or fone) it will be verry nice and cool.

2-When I disable the mainscreen and want to move from top to bottom to go to the today screen I want it to minimize not to close so I can launch it faster and when I use the EFtouchflo it will appear faster and will disappear faster.

First of all I wanne thank all the PPC-Gods here that made this app. possible!! It's really great.
But I'm having the same problem here as seen above!
I followed the steps you said and I have files installed. I only have the problem when I instal mortscript, but when I delete it, I don't have the icons (sms, mail, bluetooth, wifi...) I'm a rookie in this stuf so please help...
I also DO NOT have the option to "set a wallpaper" and "save" in the cube config. It only has the "exit" key in the left corner and not the "file" one??????

If you integrate the FTouchFLO and I instal it on my TYTN II it shuts down my touch flo that is installed standaard on it?, the tough flo for the contacts and mail app. that's incl in the TYTN II works a little bit better and faster than the one from FToughFLO, so is it possible to use this app only on the main screen and not in the standaard app. so that my tytn toughflo still handels those prog's

Only one disadvantage
In our modern world we have more then 100 apps. & settings, you will need some 15 pages to cover them all. If only you could only change each page to contain more then 6 buttons (12 is much better - just like the speed dial page, the buttons are still big enough).
More over there is a huge unutilized space on the bottom of each page - you can put there all kind of indicators (clock, battery and so on)

This of course is my humble opinion

just a little warning. I uninstalled everything from touchflow because I didnt like the fact that the original icons where not there. but to my surprise after I did a soft reset my Mogul did a hard reset. Lost all my data. Something terribly wrong with these files. I have never had anything do this....... but luckily I have a backup.

Alternatively, when I clear the selection for "Main Screen" all I get is a blank screen. The cube still works when I launch it but when I minimize it, it goes back to the blank screen. How do I get no screen? In other words, straight from today screen to cube and back again using the swipes?

Oh, I reading now AndyCollin's mail, He problem is the DUCH wm6 ROM, there not is a Program Files folder, There is the Program Files folder's name is: \Programmabestanden\

I thinking that, if you replace all Program Files\......CommandWays in the ObiWab.mscr file, your will be a working Mainscreen with INDICATORS.

I write a DUCH file, I please the AndyCollins, He try that file, if it is will working like, I will upload here the Deuch language file.

i waiting now Andy feedback, I find a good way, your be a like MainScreen.

I am updating this thread to show the procedures I used to install the app:

1. install flashlite2, you can find the cab file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1491058&postcount=2

2. install cubelauncher, you can find the cab file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1491061&postcount=3

3. install V2, you can find the zip file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1556948&postcount=91

unzip this file v2_real.zip and copy them to: /Prgram Files/Szabi/CubeLauncher/

This file will remove the "demo" on the main page and "contact" page.

4. install Cube_real_edited.zip, you can find the zip file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1572068&postcount=117

unzip this file Cube_real_edited.zip and copy them to: /Prgram Files/Szabi/CubeLauncher/
This file solved the slow refresh problem.

5. Simple flash program to start the cube (I haven't tried it yet):

I am not able to change get the slide to lock & the clock along with battery window when i have the cube open.however if I go & change main screen "off" to "on" in Page 1 then i will only get the slide to lock window but I wont get the cube. Is there a way to get both?
also is thee a way to change the grey background of the cube to something else?it would be awseome of i can get the me today theme as background]. kindly reply.

Works fine here on mogul, except when I change a couple shortcuts and ouch them, the screen goes black and then returns to the cube screen... Am I missing something?
I did not install compact framework mainly because the rapidshare link no longer works, and I also saw where the Mogul didnt need it in the first place.

Alternatively, when I clear the selection for "Main Screen" all I get is a blank screen. The cube still works when I launch it but when I minimize it, it goes back to the blank screen. How do I get no screen? In other words, straight from today screen to cube and back again using the swipes?

if you want SMS, CALL,......
you can test it with digital or analogique clock.
you must download MortScript to use it, because FlashLite can know signal and battery level but can't read registry for unread sms, missed call.......

I have a key starting the cube from the degault today screen, I making now a new attachment this follover applications together.

You can running ONLY the cube, with FTouchFLO application (xda) and when your cube will invisible, that not will exit, that will minimize only.

efrostsminimize.exe will minimize any application at the time the minimize app. is launched. if you reconfig the ftouchflo config file to access efrosts minimize app it will minimize the current app on the screan includeing flashlite.
you must also remove flashlite from the excluded app list in ftouchflo config file and only launches cube on downup minimize app on updown

the miss call and SMS is good enough... simple but useful.

For your information the miss calls and SMS sometime don't work. even i have a miss call and SMS, its still shows 0 calls & 0 sms. it is working at the begining(just after i install)
i am using HP 6818.
i am not bugging to do changes for me. take it easy!:D i am already happy with what i have now. even the miss call and SMS alert not working:D
