WM6 for a Novice.

Hi mates

First of all i like to thank this group. that thread for falshing the ROM helped me and I have converted my Dutch MDA VARIO to english One. you know that when you just upgrade your PocketPC you are sort of getting addicted to upgrading and testing things. But I am now worried as I am very very much interested in going to WM6 from WM5. But the scariest part is the chances of getting your device bricked. I like to know what all of the experts in the group suggest me. which ROM I should try and then I even dont know any thing about the Pagepool I have asked this question a long time ago but didnt get any reply. so it will be nice if I some one can help me so that I can have WM6 on my device. It will be nice if there can be list of all the WM6 ROM but with some sort of rating like people installed, people appreciated,e tc. etc...

Do you have a CID-unlocked device or not?

Dear cookie,
Don't worry about causing your device to not work because when something wrong happens during flashing, you can always set it back to the bootloader mode. This can be done by holding the camera button and pressing reset. Or if that cannot be done, remove the battery and reinsert it, then hold the camera button while pressing the power button once.

Hope this will allay your fears.

yeh I have a CID unlocked device. I only know this since I have changed my device from Dutch ROm to WWE Rom using the method mentioned in the sticky. I flashed the button ROM and then 2.26 WWE UK and then now done the one mentioned in my signature.

and if I can reset to the original state then why every one is saying use his ROM but at your own risk or then why people report their device is bricked now??

hope that some one will help me get to WM6.

thanks mate for uplifting my moral but still I like to know if i do this action will I rest the device to the factory setting or mine own setting since I have changed the ROM from dutch to English.

Secondly I am worried as I have done the ROM change myself n now no more warrenty :( for me. and is there any glossary for the wizard terms like poolpage or etc..
