cut and paste in text boxes

I use opera mini 3 to surf.

It appears that when entering text in an opera text box or ie text box you cannot cut and paste.

Is there w way to do it, or is this a serious oversight?

I am able to select text, and tap and hold to bring up the copy/paste menu in IE.

Is it just me who is missing something here?
I just logged on to this site on my TyTn went to reply to a thread and I can copy and paste text without a problem by selecting it and then with a long stylus press I can copy it and paste it with another long stylus press where I want it to go.

Maybe its the opera mini browser limiting me...let me try ie.
