Sincere apologies for not being able to reply your posts & PM's as I have been keeping very busy for the past 3 months.

Since I was on my 1-week vacation, I thought of working on your problems, and have come up with the updated version of this tool. Hope it resolves all your issues.

You would not get any annoying pop-up with this tool now, only the one that has your unlock code... :)

Steps :
1. Copy 'Cert_SPCS.cab' on your phone & install(run).
2. Copy 'EnableRapi.cab' on your phone & install(run).
3. Establish an Activesync connection with your phone.
4. Unzip the zip file & Run 'Unlock_Touch.exe' on your PC. ( New Unlocker)
5. File 'unlock_code.txt' thus generated will have your unlock code( Eight-digit number).Ignore any other digits if generated.

I HAVE BROKEN THE LCD OF MY HTC TOUCH SO HAVE COME DOWN TO MY NOKIA 6600. INCONVENEINCE, IF ANY; IS REGRETTED.

Connect your HTC Touch with your PC (USB-Cable), so that the ActiveSync Symbol in the Taskbar is green (that means: Active Sync is active).

No open your Windows Explorer, go to Mobile Devices, open this "Folder" and you will see the "Ressources" from your HTC.

If you want to copy something to your PDA simply do a right-click with the mouse (on your PC) onto the CAB-File, select Copy ... then point to your Mobile Device (the "Storage-Card" folder for instance), right-click again and select Paste.

Active Sync will do the rest...

I've unlocked a few Touch's with this software, but there is a problem on one device.

I believe it gives a standard code which never works: 22083646
It's a KPN-locked HTC Touch... :(

I have:
- replaced itsutils.dll manually... (because the unlock didn't work)
- also installed Cert_SPCS.cab first and EnableRapi.cab second. (before I tried to unlock it)
- rebooted the phone..
- disabled the password on the device (and tried to unlock again after a few reinstalls of the 2 .cab's and rebooted too)

Do I need to delete the 20 offset bytes on the start of the address pof gave?
And what's the standard password of the device so I can use the device with tty?

I see that other KPN-locked HTC Touch's couldn't be unlocked also...

i did successfully get an unlock code on the notepad....

however when i removed the original Tmobile sim and inserted one for 3...... the msg i got was emmm

sim card is missing and can be used for emergnecy calls blah blah....

queries!
1) on inserting another sim after runninf unlocker.exe and getting the code.........is this(the above msg) ok or shd it read something else?
2) where does the generated code need to be entered if the above is ok?

unfortunately, here in canada we have only two gsm providers...Rogers and Fido...and Rogers owns Fido (same network) so i am not even sure if putting in a Fido sim on my Rogers locked phone will work. I'll have to dig around for someone who has a different sim from somewhere else.

rogers does own fido but they have nothing to do with eachother and putting a fido sim in a rogers phone will not work unless it unlcoked so your all clear to try it with that

Yup once its unlocked it remains unlocked, that was the case with My MDA when I had it. Doug this is Dragon546 from Esato btw. However if you want to Flash a new rom on to it you will need to CID unlock it first and thats temporary readup on the USPL thread on this forum for more info

Yes. I just unlocked my Rogers Touch with it. You need a non roghers SIM card to do it though.

You are in the wrong forum. This is the ELF (aka Touch).

I had the same problem...
it seems kpn has re-locked the device in another byte (or something like this?) so it won't work.

i've contacted Erlan unlock-service in enschede and their method worked fine, you only have to pay for it. I believe it's the same method used as imei-check.

Hi..I think you better copy those two files to windows folder of the phone. Then go to file explorer of the phone, then click the menu option on the bottom right of the file explorer window. A pop up window will appear - check show all files. Now you will able to find those two files you copied in the windows of htc. Run them both and then follow the rest. Hopefully it will work.

Tried about 6 times, and no success. Tried copying the files into my mobile, didn't work. Put the cab files in different folders, didn't work... I have no idea what to do.

Awesome job rishi. This site rocks. I changed the language on my S200 a year ago by reading this site and now I've been able to unlock my Rogers Touch. I'm not the smartest but if you read every reply here, you'll figure out how to unlock your Touch. Like mr_raider said you need the second sim from a different carrier. I just transfer the two files from my lop top to the windows directory in the phone. Tapped on them to install them and then ran the unlock program on the lap top. Got the number, unplugged the phone, changed sim card, waited for a bit while it searched and then entered the number. It took longer to read the threads but it was 2 minutes work at the most. I tried using the Unlock_Touch.exe & followed all the steps correctly but the code generated did not work (the code it returned was: 36182206). I finally got it unlocked using one of the paid servers & it worked. My Elf's unlock code turned out to be 95601323.

It seems that your software is working very well for everyone except for locked networks in Portugal, Brazil, Egypt & Croatia; I wonder why?

Anyhow; thank you for the excellent effort you've done & I hope that soon an update will unlock all networks.

My P3450 is simlocked by Bouygues Telecom (ROM v2.20.406.1B FRE), and the unlock number provided by the unlock tool doesn't work...

The only problem that I encountered was i didn't know where to put the unlock code. So i turned the phone off and then restarted with an o2 simcard (was on orange originally) - it asked for the unlock code so i input the 8 digit one that was created and bingo!

Hi,

You will need a non-Rogers SIM card after installing the cab files and running the exe from your pc that generates the unlock code. From there you pop in the non-Rogers SIM and upon starting up the phone, you will see a message that prompts you to enter an unlock code. Enter the code you generated and your phone should be unlocked.

The hard part may be to get a non-Rogers SIM.

4. Unzip the zip file & Run 'Unlock_Touch.exe' on your PC. ( New Unlocker)
5. File 'unlock_code.txt' thus generated will have your unlock code( Eight-digit number).Ignore any other digits if generated.

I HAVE BROKEN THE LCD OF MY HTC TOUCH SO HAVE COME DOWN TO MY NOKIA 6600. INCONVENEINCE, IF ANY; IS REGRETTED.

It gave me the opportunity to enter an unlock code... except it didn't accept it :S

Check your sim insertion, this could be the issue...

As there's a problem in unlocking the Dutch KPN Phone, I went to loekieloekie dot nl, they are very helpful in assisting on unlocking the phone. Costs are €19,50, but it works! Swift mail answers and very friendly guy (John).

Even though I was scared in unlocking tools, as I already wasted 3 tries with the tool in this topic, it worked out fine! Within 5 minutes, the phone was unlocked, and now I'm enjoying my HTC Touch, unlocked and with the Touch interface Bram has made. Awesome phone!

- When using a different sim (in this case a Tele2 NL one) I get a strange icon that's placed left of my activesync/communication icon. It's like pyramid shaped and I can not click on it....

- If I sell my Touch/Elf right now, and if someone else, who bought mine, resets it, or does something else with it.... can he make it 'un-unlocked?' (make it locked again) In other words, can I REALLY sell this as a fully unlocked phone? (It was a T-Mobile Branded one)

Oh yes. cudnt agree more thats a dumb question. Well why did u get the sim unlock code "FOR" in the 1st place. :P Its so that you can insert another SIM and when it says SIM LOCKED...enter THAT CODE

tried to unlock it using the procedure above .
Placed and installed the files on the unit.
Got an activesync-link (used it to copy the files aswel)
Ran the unlocker from the PC.
Got the NOtepad screen and an error-screen saying "can not find asigned path" (but then indutch).

i have taken the 3 files from above installed the 2 cab files and generated a 8 digit number....from there i dont know what to do...i put a folder called "unlocker" under my device/unlocker with the file itsutils.dll and pdocread.exe i have tried to run that file but an error comes as well the itsutils.dll file gets hidden on my phone.....pls tell me the next step in process to getting my phone unlock as i am lost....also where does that 8 digit number come into play through out the unlocking process??

A quick How-do-i-do-this-even-easier-then-it-is-explain guide:

Download the file package which i included.
The content is self explained.

1. Establish activesync connection.
2. Copy and Run the contents of the "Copy and Install these 2 CAB files on your Touch" folder on your Touch
3. Copy the file inside the "Put the file thats inside this folder in your Windows Mobile folder" folder to your Windows folder on your Touch
4. Copy the folder "Unlocker" to your pc. PREFERABLE your c:\ drive.
5. Go to the location where you copied the "Unlocker" folder to. I.e "c:\unlocker" if that's where you placed it, if you put it on your desktop it ofcourse isn't in c:\unlocker.

M8, i have a big problem here. I got the Unlock code (8 digits) like in your step 7, but after i put the other SIM and recieved the question about the code, this simply doesnt work. The Elf refuse the unlock code.
Its possible if just recieved a wrong code or something like that ?
Another question, i tried 2 times, if i try the 3th i will block my Phone ?:confused:
By the way, im from Brazil (South America), maybe something can go wrong caused by another language in my mobile (Portuguese) ?

They Fido and Rogers are the same company. You should just beable to use the Fido sim card with out having to unlock the phone. My roomate did that with another Rogers phone when he switched to Fido. I don't see why this whould be different. Did you try that already and have it fail? If not just try the FIdo sim without doing the unlock.

Hm...
I did unlock and reflash to Russian ROM over 30 ps. of HTC Elf , and all was OK.
All Elf's was from France.
Today I got one Elf for unlock and ROM change , but can't do it.
Code readed with Elf_Unlocker is wrong , I tried 4 time's.
And when I try reflash him to ELF_RUU_HTC_RUS_1.15.411.1B_4.1.13.42_02.93.90_Shi p I got ERROR: "This ROM can not be flashed in You device...."
For sure I try to flash this ROM after Cert_SPCS , EnableRapi and ELF_USPL.

after putting itsutils.dll in windows(mobile) dir and pdocread.exe in the C:/unlocker folder it worked just fine

Ik heb gisteren zo een gemaakt, maar dat was iet anders dan omgeschreven.

1. 2 cab files uitvoeren.
2. Mak een "unlock" map in c://
3. "Touch unlock" coppy naar c://Unlock
4. Unlock_touch.exe uitvoeren. U krijgdt 2 files "pdocread.exe" & itsutils.dll
5. In wondows folder eigenschappen stellen dan sys mapen weergeven zichbaar maken.
6. "itsutils.dll" coppy naar win map in u htc
7. uitvoeren "pdocread.exe" & dan eindelijk krijgt u uw code (tijdens generatie van code mijn htc was verbonden met pc)

Paas op ik heb eerst "ELF_USPL-v1" dat uitgevoerd, alles zou u hier vinden.

Veel geluk!

I think i Bricked my Phone.
Followed the instructions very carefully...
Did USPL V1 and ended up with 3 nice colors.
Tried a few ROM's, most say INVALID MODEL ID (Fault 244)
I Can connect with USB but other rhan that....I'm Hopeless
Has anyone succeeded in getting it Healthy again ??? Somehow.

tnx people! opening post was really usefull. worked like a charm! note: I didn't know what to do with the generated code, maybe you should add a final step: insert new sim en use this code to unlock the network. just a suggestion :-)

Use Winzip to unzip the files to a folder on your PC first
then move only the .cab files to your device (I usually go for the \Temp directory on the device)

Then, on your device, Start->Programs->File Explorer
Browse to the location you copied the cab files to and click them in the order specified "...et voila..." you have extracted and run the cabs

Okay - I see the problem.
Are the P3450 and the P3452 using the same unlock method ?
The P3450 and P3452 use different USPL unlockers.

There are two different devices:
P3450 (64/128MB) and P3452 (128/256MB)
These come both in two basic different flavours: HTC and OEM.

The SPL unlock can be used on all but you need to use the right one.

Step one must be to determine your DeviceID and CID so you can build yourself a get-out-of-jail-free card by way of locating your original ROM.
You can do this here by following all the instructions on this post:

Before you think about SPL unlocking make sure you have run the CERT_SPCS and EnableRAPI cab files at this location!!!

When you run either of these (assuming you have run your CERT_SPCS and EnableRAPI first) they go through three phases.

From memory
1. First phase transfers some communication and utility DLLS
2. Second phase loads and configures a boot loader which bypasses certification for a single reset.
3. Third phase patches the SPL ready to recieve any ROM.


If you hit a snag, you may have not been running the right SPL unlock for your device. If you have determined your Device ID and CID and have your correct base ROM then you're pretty safe.

Also if the SPL locked up on the Penguin Screen and didn't go grey then you are NOT ready to load another ROM. I suggest a thorough read of the two threads I posted above on SPL unlocks to CYA (Cover Your Arse).

PS Many people have come unstuck loading one particular ROM, make sure you check any ROM out you propose to load before you try to load it and make sure you have a way back!

No need
Press reset and at same time press and hold red/green call buttons until you get a "Format" message (white text black background), press centre button and you're ready to load Cert_spcs.cab and Rapi.cab and do all the other things you need to do before you think about loading a new ROM.

Got my T-Mobile MDA Touch Plus (UK) yesterday and all I get is the blank txt report generated also. Spent ages and still blank.

I had no issues with the unlocking of my previous MDA Compact II via HTC Wizards Lokiwiz03.

I tried an online unlocking service in desparation last night also, only to be emailed this morning with them claiming not to currently support the Touch Plus!!

I will be extremely grateful for any help and if any other info is needed then please let me know.

First at all, it's clear I'm not nearly an expert, even a beginner. But, I copied the files, established the sync connection, run the RAPI unlocked and so on...After inserting the sim I've been asked for a "network unlock code"... typed the 8 digits code given and....nothing....
I tried twice but still the same answer...so I'm afraid of getting everything "locked"... my sim and the phone....
