Finally Sdhc Works With This Cab !!!

Hi there all,

i have been searching for a solution for the sdhc support. Lots of emails to providers, lots of threads in forums but no solution.

Tried a lot of updates cabs and fixes but did not work!

Finally a cab in XDA-Dev worked! Now, I can see my 4GB SDHC Sandisk Storage card in my File Explorer:)

Well,
i have installed the old v4.0 and tried the cab, with PDAViet ROM v4.0. Unfortunataly didnt work.

I think it works only with verison 4.1. Iam installing now 4.1...

It does not work!!!

After installation of cab, it created a Storage Card folder in root. But this folder does not contain my files... (This appears only on v4.1) I see only "mail, cacheie and temp" folders in this Storage Card folder, and these are not the files on my Card...:(

and this is no fake ? All the guys are telling it's not working because of hardware limitations and now a cab solves all issues? i am a little bit sceptical.... ;) ....but just ordered one 4gig card... :)

Hello, can't get .cab file to work. I am using a scandisk 4 GB SDHC and using resco 6.10 or ms file explorer. if anyone has this working is there an order to install and register the .dll files and can we have a screenshot so we know that this is not just a mirage. Many thanks

thats not a bug of the pacth, its a bug of B&B 4.1.

When u install the ROM without a SD Card in teh device, it creates itself a "virtual" storage card.

Rename it to "Storage Card 3"

Insert real SD Card, the "Storage Card" should appear in your File Explorer.
Delete Storage Card 3

Installed the driver on a WM6 o2 upgraded Orbit and it doesn't seem to do anything...DOESN't WORK!!

The storage card bug in B&B 4.1 can be solved by deactivating the messaging tab on the today screen, renaming the storage card, resetting and erasing the renamed virtual storage card.

Who are the guys that voted that SDHC works on their devices ???

And for those that think it's not possible because of the hardware: that doesn't seem to be exactly the case. Search other forums on the xda-dev site and you will find out.

This may be irrellavent but it fixed a 4gb gard on a mio A201 running WM6 Personaly i ain't seen it but he says it showing "Storage card size comes up as 3874.91 mb" all he dis was install the CAB file (with his 2gb card in) and then insert his 4gb storage card and reset. no renaming or messing about

As you can read several posts back, kespir was over enthousiastic, he thought it worked because he saw " Storage Card" in his explorer. but since he's using B&B 4.1 what he saw was actually the infamous "bug" in that rom that causes a directory to be created called Storage Card if there's no real card (or detectable card) in the device during first boot.

So as far is I understand there are now 5 people who voted it worked, of which at least 3 have made a wrong vote, the others we haven't heard about. so I think it's save to say it doesn't work... unfortunately...

But there is still hope...
I have heard news there might be a way to cook a rom with the touch drivers... i believe Mesche is working hard on this.

Well, when i take a look inside the cab from here, there are two dlls, sdbus.dll and sdmemory.dll (and there are no Regkeys added within the installation?).
What about fastfs.dll and omap_850_sdhc.dll from your regkeys ? :confused:

can you please help; i see that you are using A201 with WM6, can u please help me to get a link where to downoald wm6 or wm5 english; i tried almost everything - even severel e-mails to mio support;
any ideea would be great;
