everytime i try to flash an rom , Shelltool getting stuck !

it's been 3-4 days that i'm trying to flash my wizard .
i tried a lot of roms , but none of them really finish the job .
here the thing .
i have G4 with wizard_love on it ( how come it's allowed to flash with RUU the wizard love rom , and not the other roms like NBD , Blackdiamond ?? )
anyway , i copy the 2 cabs files , install them , soft rest and then flash with shelltool( of course turning off the phone calls and SD card is out ) . shelltool doesnt finish the flashing process . i leave it for 2 hours once , and it's still stuck .
what am i doing wrong ?
please help me flash my wizard :)

I bricked my old G4 trying to use the shell tool, it never worked even with the steps being followed perfectly, It's just luck of the draw I think. I reccomend going to http://www.imei-check.co.uk/m3000unlock.php and paying the money and unlocking it, it worked for me although my G4 was still unable to be recovered. Once you unlock the flash process is a snap.

I use vista and shelltool always hangs and some point for me, but it still works, at the point it hangs i leave it for another 15 mins just to be sure, then unplug and hard reset.

If you don't hard reset the phone during the last stage the rom won't install to the device properly.

Shelltool works just well. Sometimes really doesnt show Flasg DONE, make hard reset, but u can after 12 min. just unpluge tha phone and make H R. It works every time.

I'm using Vista, but everytime I flash, I use VMWare and install XP.. Works fine.
