Hey Skandler now the contacts are shown as one name with no space between the name and the surname. For example the contact Joe Smith is shown as JoeSmith. I have my contacts sorted as Firstname Lastname and in ipsms settings I have chosen Firstname Lastname and everything worked good since 0.5.5 version. Can you fix it?

How about possibility to recognize smiles like images in incoming messages? For example 10 most usable popular smiles? Is it real or not?

Skandler, I have a question. Can ipsms handle messages that have been received from a number that hasn't been stored in contacts? I have just tested it and I think it can't. I am asking you this because I want to know whether this is a bug or it is supposed to work like this. So if I choose to disable pocket outlook from the settings of ipsms and a message with unknown sender (not stored in contacts) arrive then this message will be lost? Skandler you should do something about this...

When you receive a message from a contact that is not in your contact list, IPSMS receives the message and saves it in your conversation directory. But itīs not possible to reply to this message.

So i have to go to conversation folder from the file explorer just to see these messages? This is not very convenient. Can you make a button in ipsms that will open the conversations folder? Or at least think of something that could make this easy ;) Thank you for your time and effort :):D

Tried to send SMS when device was cradled and connected to internet.
got an error:

What am I doing wrong?

Edit: tried to select another entry, and not "Network", and after hitting "send" the program crashed with: "An unexpected error has occurred in IPSMS.exe."

Hi Skandler,

batterystatus canīt count the SMS written with IPSMS. Can you include a SMS counter? And an option to automaticaly reset the SMS counter every 1. of the Month? Maybe counters for al kinds of SMS-sending? SMSoIP, over Network,...).

I have a SMS contiongent every Month (150 Free SMS) and this would be great, so i can see, how many SMS i already used.

Hi skandler!

I just came to your great tool! it's exactly what i have been dreaming of all the time and planned to create an app like this by myself - if i should ever have the toime to do so ;-)

I have just one heavy problem at this time (v 0.7): I'm using a Toshiba G900 which has a WVGA screen (800x480). On this screen your tool is useless (eighter in portrait or landscape mode) since the first screen where you type the message is totally overlapped by text boxes and buttons. all together it is way too small. (see attachment)

I don't know whether you have programmed it at fixed pixel screen positions. But the configuration pages look good, size is good as well and it even uses all of the screen.

Just as an input for further development. Really looking forward to it!

Thanks a lot for your efforts!

VoipStunt reserves the right after a certain amount of SMS to start charging sms for the default rate. FREE SMS is available for users with Freedays.

Does anybody know, when exactly the default rates apply? after how many sms? Are they calculated monthly? when are they reset so i can use cheaper rates? betamax is so annoying, you never know, what rates apply. i pay between 1 and 5,5 cents per sms and it sucks! any betamax provider which is stable? i want to send lots of sms with a fixed rate!

I got a question. How do I receive messages on IPSMS without it going to my phone. I'm using Voipbuster to send and one person responded. I got the message OK on IPSMS but it also went to my phone. There are a billion of those sites out there, so just set it to favorites and save it to your today screen as a link and BOOM!! Free sms app on your today screen! SendSMSnow.com even has an inbox! I've just tried this program and I think it's really fantastic !!!

I would like to agree with one request that I've found back on this tree: It would be perfect if a copy of sent items were stored in Pocket Outlook, just to have all messages stored in a central application.

Of course I don't know how difficult it could be. For example, PIM Backup saves and restores data from/to SMS Sent Items.

Thank you for your great job !!!

Hi,

IPSMS works perfectly with WiFi or with GPRS/3G "normal" connection but I have problem connecting to the server with GPRS with a PROXY server.

Is it possible somewhere on the configuration settings to make it work with proxy?

Can't send any SMS from the main screen anymore. When I hit "send", nothing happens. However, everything works like a charme in the chat window.

I had detected similar symptoms when trying v0.73. Then, I decided to go back to v0.72, and it worked fine.

I have decided to attach it here, in case you don't happen to have it already stored on your PC.

Just my 2 cents...

Hello,
I found IPSMS crashing since a week due to a new URL for Voipbuster.
(see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4663181&postcount=712 )

Well, as IPSMS is still my favorite SMS App, I managed with Hexediting of 2 strings to make it working again.
Maybe is it useful for others too, so you can find the modified exe attached. Just copy over the old exe, and additionally you need to change the account settings e.g. from 'voipbuster.com' to 'voipbuster.com/myacc'

@skandler: Any plans to publish the sources somewhere else than sourceforge? Maybe just putting it to this forum? This would be awsome!

Nice to hear, that it's also useful for others :-)
Well, WVGA, that's beyond the scope of quick and dirty hexediting the executable.

If source code would be available, I'd try to adopt the UI (and to WiMo 6.5) for sure when switching to a new WVGA phone myself. Really like the app, few bells an whistles, but simply does its job flawless...

Cheers, spacepilot

hello, i'm unable to get the sourcecode of this application because i don't have a rapidshare premium account. Can you reupload it somewhere else like megaupload or whereever else? Thank you!

I'm currently writing a "send-only" solution for Windows-Mobile (and currently Cherry-SMS Provider only) which even stores the sent messages to the SMSFolder of PocketOutlook. Works quiet nice. But I would need a comlete GUI rewrite to support more than this Provider. So it would be nice to know if someone is interested in that.
