Find if is CID locked

Hi, I was wondering if there is any way to find if my device is CID locked
before upgrading.

I buy as I-Mate Jamin with portuguese version one year ago. (No brand)
I-mate only as upgraded the english and arabic rom versions of Jamin.

Last version on site:

For the Worldwide English Build: NEW
Rom version 2.13.9.23
Radio version 02.20.21
ExtROM version 2.13.9.123

As opposed to:

For the Worldwide Portuguese Build: SHIPPING VERSION
Rom version 2.13.9.26
Radio version 02.07.20
ExtROM version 2.13.9.115

So I like to upgrade to english rom. Not only because is newer but
also because I had read on several post that english roms are faster.
(Is this true ?)

I realy like to upgrade to Wm6 but I can't find corage for that.
So I just want the better Wm5 official rom for the Jamin, even if it cames
from another brand.

If anybody as an official rom that can recommend me I would be
very much grateful. And of course the answer for the original question,
find if CID locked before upgrading.
