WLAN promiscuous mode

Is it possible to put the wireless LAN adapter of the HTC P3300 in promiscous mode?

I tried to run airscanner mobile sniffer v2.5, but when I want to put the card in promiscous mode, I receive the following error:
the adapter you selected does not support promiscuous mode operation.

Does anybody has experience with other software for sniffing WLAN?
