helmi_c i found a little problem with this rom of yours which ur previous rom didnt had. HTC Kaiser's 10buttons Comm Manager worked perfectly in ur pervious WM6 rom but in this doesnt even get installed. When i install it it gives me following error:

"Installing was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions."
------
also i find the file explorer of this rom different than the one which was in your previous rom. Can you please upload that file explorer for me?

Thanks!

hehe.. well actually i found that Comm Manager of Touch & Kaiser to be v.cool looking and it matches all the look of HTC Home & stuff.. so i use to use it.. it worked perfectly in helmi's last released rom but for some strange reason fails to install in this one. Do you know what the problem could be?

I do not understand. Are you talking about the amount of battery power left when the device shuts down? or the percentage of power the device uses while in "off" mode? In the 1st case these percentages sound very high to me, in the second case I'm very curious how you can see these numbers. When I turn my Hima off I can only see its housing, buttons, black screen and one or two flashing LEDs.

Yes, when the battery shows the previous figures the mobile shutdown completely. The only way to wake it up is to charge it.
If u checked the forums u will find it every were, specially after upgrading.

So
I used Radio 1.17 the device closed at 50% battery level
So
I used Radio 1.14 the device closed at 28% battery level

I did not find any differance except the above

By the way, this is the original Radio of Himalaya

Thanks to Solomhamada for his advice

I have radio 1.17 but it closes at 30%. Is there any way to get the device to be turned off below 30%? at least 10%. Anyway, my girlfriend has a sony erricson, and I share a file with her via bluetooth but the sharing stops at 30%. I've upgrade to 1.19 to see if it will work well, but the result was the same. Do you think 1.14 will fixed it?

Tnx!

Mine shut down at 10%. I use 1.08, it's the most stable radio version for XDAII, I heard people said so. But I don't think radio is the reason for that. Check your battery. Sometimes, after flashing, my phone turned off before the battery reaches 30%, but it the other time when I flash a nother ROm, it can live until 10%...

or for new clean install use this (not necesary if you already install the MMS client before):

I have been using this ROM for a day and it didn’t hang ones, but there is an issue with the battery like when the battery level is 40% the GSM radio turns itself off. Second issue is that since we have only 14 MB storage and I have like 2 MB left it takes a little time to open up some applications.

Loving the ROM Helmi_C...
TOF, rest in peace... hope you have access to a Hima wherever you are...
Helmi_C, did a very fine job!

questions though, i know there is already a warning on OC-ing to 624Mhz..
but what are the benefits of OClocking it? Which activities would it be needed?
Is it only for multitasking, playing games, running RAM-hog apps?

Also, with the fair warning, to those who tried to OC it, was the OC worth it?

Also, is it possible to run animated start-up for a Hima?
is the process the same as changing boot splash pic into a GIF?
sorry tried to check threads.. nothing for HIMA.. at least didnt find any..

thanks

It's as it should be...
The colour of your today screen depends on your theme, and not on your plugins. Change a theme to HTC default, or get my DarkVisions theme here:

@SecureGSM: the default theme is crossbow.tsk, not the black one showed on the first page. And like what utak3r mentioned, the themes are not plug-in dependent.

AudioManager is working fine on my Himalaya. Maybe there's another program causing your unit to perform slower. Let us know if you get to identify which addon that is...

I haven't found a single click bluetooth toggle so far either, 3 clicks is the least I can find. What's worse, my Tomtom doesn't start BT automatically on WM6, it did on WM2003 and WM5. And it doesn't close BT automatically when I shut tomtom down. So that's 3 clicks before Tomtom to give it BT and again 3 clicks when I've reached my destination to prevent BT from draining my battery.

Apart from that I do love WM6.

BTW I'm still searching for a way to get repeating reminders for missed calls, unread SMS and so on. Any suggestions anyone?

@leepinhe: some cabs have hard coded paths where to install, they don't care if you tell them to install on storage or Ramdisk but do as the programmer told them to do.

@de_nosse:
I believe the correct sequence is:
00-install unhide/unlock and doctool NOT to Ramdisk or Storage Card
1-unhide
2-soft reset
3-unlock
4-soft reset
5-Doctool
6-soft reset
7-lock
8-soft reset
9-hide

I dont think its a hardreset-proof storage, if your battery comes all (including back up battery) down to 0, im sure data in ramdisk will be lost. but the storage remains.

The "exe" file can be unzipped by winrar or winzip :p

Then you get the files "nk.nbf" and "HimaUpgradeUt_noID.exe"

Thanks for the good news. But I can't help noticing that you are using WM5 and this is a WM6 thread. And as far as I understand from what I've read so far (in several more threads than you already mentioned) this is not HTC Touchflo but another very similar looking independant today-plugin that should also work with finger gestures.
Unfortunately I can not test right now, left my Hima at a friends house (even Hima users can do silly things).

What I've seen from HTC Touchflo is that it not only allows to flip pages from the today plugin, it also allows for example horizontal and vertical scrolling through texts, web pages and so on. Does this software have this same fuctionality?

This Radio Ver1.08.00 And Protocol Ver 1337.18 correct ot Not?
The ExtRom Version Not Show Any score (Need Upgrade Or Not)

No need upgrade lah, no more extrom since WM5. Radio version is ok, can upgrade if you like, but no real difference between versions unless you experience certain problems. Protocol version I think is irrelevant also and is always like that since using cooked ROM ( I think packager makes that version)

of course.. if you'll be using Helmi's .exe package, it shall retain your current Radio version.

if you want to use others packages, just take out the Radio file from the folder you'll be running the upgrade from, and you'll retain the Radio ver.

Same goes, if you want to upgrade, flash it with the radio ver you want in the folder, and you're all set.
