Looks like a software problem to me. Re-installing a ROM should fix it.
But seriously, what a mess.... Do you have insurance that covers things like that?

NO :( No insurance. It's now a £500 broken paperweight.
I'm defo willing to flog the "debris" though.
The cool thing is the stylus survived. Keyboard is knackered too.

how 'knackered' is the keyboard? im trying to make a usb keyboard fit to the ameo - so ned a keyboard to pull apart!

It probably still works. Only the bottom right corner has lifted a bit. I'm sure the HD is still ok too, but it did take a huge dunt on the ground :)

I USED to drive with my X7501 on the dashboard and the windows open! I've been trusting my Sticky Pad to keep it in place but I guess I'll get that windshield mount ordered after all...
