i think the best cases made are by RIM (black berry). Get the BB 8700 holster, it fits really well and is very sturdy. I have one myself.

I actually meant the hard plastic holsters. I don't like the leather full surround cases.

I really like the Pocket Solutions "Signature Series" holster with quick release belt clip. I have one for my TyTn and contacted them about a TyTn II version. They said that they would consider it if the demand is there, so it's going to take a few months till the volume of units are out in the field.

This is a flip/flap leather holder that allows full function while in the holster. I like it a lot because I can quickly remove it from my belt clip and drop it into a dashboard "vent clip" from theclip.com. This allows for good GPS map viewing and hands free operation with a BT headset.

I only remove the phone from the holster itself if I want to slide the keyboard which isn't very often.

I've yet to see any good hard holster. I too don't like the fully contained holsters, they are the most compact but you have to remove the phone to use it which kills it for me.

Really hope Pocket Solutions gets a lot of requests! I need that holster.

It would be nice if you offered USPS Priority Mail to Hawaii so we don't get screwed on the shipping. Parcel Post takes 3 months to get here and only saves about $1.
