New WLM wanted!

Anyone knows if there is a version of the windows live messenger out(for smartphone) which doesnt fuck up the contact list?

What excactly do you mean by that? Cause when I start the version you refere to (I already have that one preinstalled) I get a warning WLM are going to add my MSN contacts to my phones contactlist.

I know there is an option in WLM to deactivate syncing of contacts and messenger, but that doesnt seem to fix the problem. I think that option is for some other syncing or something..?

Thats the same version I have on my phone. I havent bothered using it cause of the contact importing.

What I and a lot of others are searching, is some new release that doesnt do this mean action.

Through the link in my first post you can find a version compatible with WM Smartphones. Its not a .CAB but an .exe and a nice installer.

This version also merges the contacts. I heard that version 10.6.0031.1600 solves the issue but i can't install it on my Dash. Any ideas?

Then I think you should try again. Cause I have it installed on my phone and there are not a single contact from MSN in my phone contacts.

WLM to 10.6.0030.2100:-

Advantage - Remove the automatically add msn contacts onto phone books.

Disadvantage - It slow down the Windows directory browsing times from 7 seconds to 22 seconds. :(
(Of coz, also slow down the browsing form Windows XP's Explorer to WM via active sync) :eek:

I'm still waiting for better version come out only install it.
