Hi,

My 3 year old got a hold of mine and was 'lickin it'.

Tried drying it out in airing cupboard; hard reset; hard reset with just usb power - no joy - no LEDs lit when charging etc.

Anyone ever revived a Hermes that wil not hard reset without trip to repair centre?

Ta, Gary.

PS: Thought not! haha. Did try calling T-mobile but got fed up after 35 mins. Should have taken out insurance! doh. If I bought a PAYG T-mobile phone could I use that with my Hermes SIM till my upgrade comes up? (UK)

Mmmm. Last case of this I saw was a fused component on M/board.

If your sim's t-mobile then any payg T-mob phone should do.

Thanks.

Wonder if it is the SMD fuse thats somewhere on the board - I cant see it though... Probably just protects the USB in rather than the battery supply though?

Gary.

Very likely, either the wizard or hermes manual refers to a fuse but it is not specified and to my knowledge none of us has tracked it down yet.
