how long ur battery last? talking duration?

my issue so far is my wifi. Whenever im trying to install some software wifi loss, cannot be on. I thought before SPB mobile did it but not, just when im trying to install..

lets just wait WM6, hope all issue will be solved. Jiggs is busy doing that.

Hi bro after use the WM6 CHS for a few day I had already flashed it back to 3.3F WM5 cause the battery life . And the WM6 Exec or Atom it seems not too faster than the WM 5 & look more beatiful only.

the first release (beta version ) of AKU 3.3 also is not that fast, but of course jiggs do something thats why he did a good job of AKU3.3.3 to be fastest among all ROM.

this one the radio signal or the phone signal will drain the battery alot.. after you installed it, your battery will be 10% gone in 2 to 4 hrs time. It is searching n searching for radio signal on Atom Exec platform

Oops !!!!!!!! Do not download the one I made, that one got SMS problem. Tried the new one.. i had hard reset and flash to many times to make sure SMS and MMS is working..

Hi guys just flash and test for a minutes(thanks your hardworking)
1,sms work no problem
2 WiFi and GPRS can't be work on wireless manager
3,speed too slow maybe too much rom was use
4.no battery indicator

Now flash back to WM6 testing Rom and use the new ext ROM with HTC plugin , wish it can work more faster

Hi jeffkewin I just flash the rom that you provided and only installed HTC plug in only once restart the screen will stack on for around a minutes without any response. after that use the phone function everything seems slow motion . Use the 3.3F just few minutes left then flashed back to WM6 jiggs version everything
happen again ,I think the plug in consume too much resource form the rom so I gonna uninstalled the htc plug in & soft reset . It is so miracle the plug in still remain and the speed got to normal ???????

I used this HTC Today Plugin on my WM6, its fine. although after softreset, it will take some time to load the plugin thats the reason why Atom freeze for a while... but that is temporary..then everything goes. Its not power hungry but eats a little bit ROM.

well, i am still on my WM5 AKU 3.3F. With HTC Home n HTC Smart Dial.. battery life is not bad, only 4% for 8 hrs of standby.. somemore i just make a 5 minute phone call, i only abt 2% of battery life. ( of course, with my screen off when i dial)

my battery life in WM6 is now good BECAUSE I DID NOT INSTALL XCPUSCALAR.. 2 days before i recharge my atom with a lot of calls (duration of 2min/each)

That is my personal experiences porting this WM5 AKU3.3F. I had to look and compare, everyfile including registry part. Guessing and trying see whether this part will work and sometimes my device breaks. Or when i flash, i forget to include extended rom. haha...

I do not dare to start on WM6, let the master do it.. haa haa Once you start, u can imagine how many hours.. not only that.. THE FEEDBACK and DEMAND from everyone as everyone is pinning high hope. haha

Well, that's all. I stop porting WM5 AKU 3.3, no more. BUt I am working on the HTC Comm Manager. I tried the 8 button and managed to get bluetooth, beam, direct push mail, phone, flight mode, sync mode, but not WIRELESS mode. I am trying a way to fix that :P Only left one button not working.

Cooking ROM is like cooking 20-30 foods in one time. Even Jiggs said , i want to lay low after the released of WM6. Very tiring Job. haha.. but i do not want to release anymore.. alot of time, it like when you learn how to port it or cook the rom, the excitement is there. U like work day and night to make it work.

That is my personal experiences porting this WM5 AKU3.3F. I had to look and compare, everyfile including registry part. Guessing and trying see whether this part will work and sometimes my device breaks. Or when i flash, i forget to include extended rom. haha...

I do not dare to start on WM6, let the master do it.. haa haa Once you start, u can imagine how many hours.. not only that.. THE FEEDBACK and DEMAND from everyone as everyone is pinning high hope. haha

Well, that's all. I stop porting WM5 AKU 3.3, no more. BUt I am working on the HTC Comm Manager. I tried the 8 button and managed to get bluetooth, beam, direct push mail, phone, flight mode, sync mode, but not WIRELESS mode. I am trying a way to fix that :P Only left one button not working.

I am still figuring it out.. before that I will upload the AKU 3.3F again as I will stop for now.. almost bug free and removed all redundant application accept for Task Manager, SMS Backup, PIMBackup. HTC Phonepad should be working on it, inbuild with the rom.

you can start doing a little further. the greatest resource to look at is msdn.microsoft.com so you don't have to guess which one you are looking for.

Hi bro you can try the rom post on first page . For me I had already try this rom fast but I don't like the today screen. For my device also without screen flickering if you use this rom the CPU will overclock to 520Mhz ).
Finally the ATOM original CPU speed is 416MHZ only

Remark:Extract the original WM6CHT to window\Temp then use this ext rom to overwrite the original one (Only fixed the wireless manager skin from CHS to fully CHT and deleted some unnecessary cab file . )
After finished to flash the rom Don't forget to run the autoinst under the device \window .
The unlocked extended rom cab will let you get more space to install other software

I'm actually a 老外 . But I can speak Chinese and somewhat read it... but not well enough to navigate around the typical ultra-clutered Chinese website.

BTW, the 6.0 WWE edition seems good, but the Chinese input methods that it supports now are the ones which would assume the user knows how the character sounds (ie. PinYin), or the stroke order (Wubi). As a student of Chinese language, its sometimes good to be able to just write in the character. hence, I would like to use the CHS version. But I hope that version will at some point also support some other input methods, like the very good PCMKeyboard.

Successfully Installed WM6..........But Some Customizations Needed

Can U Please Solve Some Of my problems In WM6 Rom

1)In O2 Plus, Meter for Memory Card is Not Working because the name is changed From Memory Card To Storage Card.
2)In the Phone Menu After Dialing numbers using Touch Screen I Cannot Dial the call from the Touch Screen itself(i.e. I have to press the Hardware Call Button) to proceed the call after dialing nos.(Good thing is that I got the speaker phone function on Touch Screen)
3)Suppose my Atoms Battery is very low say 2% And If I get A Miss Call and the device turns off as battery is exhausted....When I Recharge and turn it On....I am Unable to get whos Miss Call it was..???? BIG PROBLEM...!!!
4)Have Installed Your Provided Auto Config Patch But Still It Is Helpless.

I don't suggest you to add this CHT ROm to the list above.

I've already flashed this CHT 0.7 ROM, and I found that it's a buggie version.

First, this ROM is converted from CHS, not original CHT ROM, so there's lot of word still in CHS form, not translated to CHT.

Second, autoinstall script is broken,you cannot use autoinstall script to install porgrams in hidden partition, and problem occures on bluetooth, you cannot send file via blueetooth.

this is what i found after i flashing ROM for a while, i thinks this CHT ROM is not stable enough to be put on downloading list.

Hi dcoloane thanks your encourage , I will try to find more information to do it , You know there just a little bit information for the file like (MBOXCHT.dll) so I got difficulty to mix or removed some DLL or drivers from rom image ! You know guy even the basic computer langague I never learn before just a little a little to read other author what they wrote and try to understand what they said .

find the files: prepare_imgfs.exe, viewimgfs.exe, make_imgfs.exe, rgucomp_cn.exe (search them in Google if missing), and copy them to %windows% dir recommended. ** rgucomp_cn.exe is best for decrypting Chinese Unicode hv files

To Dump a ROM: (DumpROM.cmd)
set _FLATRELEASEDIR=.
prepare_imgfs.exe diskimage_Ver.nb0
viewimgfs.exe imgfs_raw_data.bin

a \dump directory will be created once you run the DumpROM Command. All the files and drivers will be extracted here.

To Build a ROM: (BuildROM.cmd)
set _FLATRELEASEDIR=.
BuildImgfs.exe
make_imgfs.exe diskimage_Ver.nb0
xda2nbftool -c -u diskimage_Ver.nb0

in case you have errors on building a ROM, it is a much higher reason that you have put too much files into a ROM and they are NOT FIT to the .nb0 file, try to remove some files if necessary.

This is just a First lesson on dumping ROMs, modifying and re-create. There are many more advance techniques on building a ROM.

the only thing u can do is press reset button with pen
it hangs when charging,try to reset
it hangs on receiving and sending sms messages

i liked new wireless menu u can avoid programs connect gprs in the menu
i liked new contacts,when u type a number like 0555 the numbers and names come over starting with 0555 in that tabbing menu
i liked how it looks
i liked the space after install 40mb empty
i installed wm5 final to try i will send u if there is a problem again.

conclusion: dont install wm6 until problems solved 1-10-2007

conclusion, if you like it, use it, but if you dont, then dont use it, and say it to yourself,.
most members here like all jiggs wm6 rom version, wheter it AKU 0.3 either AKU 0.7,.

You could read "for evaluation only", means anything happend to your device, you are ready to take that, for good reason, for better rom,. then if you dont want to participate evaluating this ROM, then dont,.

So I think ROMs should be uploaded with some more info Ex: Author, OS Version, Release Date etc. should be kept in chronological order. Please take necessary initiative. This will be very very helpful to all.

Yeah..i know it, i was just curious. Anyway, i decided to install the latest version made by PDAVIET WM6.1. Build 19202 and found there is no difference at all with the previous one Build 19199, any comment?

Second thing is i found when i clicked on the "about" setting, it states WM 6 professional and not ver 6.1. COuld it be this version is not based on ver 6.1?

Last, i found that myself is more convenient when using Kumara last present 6.1. However, there are two things that had make me to reinstall this version.

1. There is no IR connection over the active sync, only USB and bluetooth, i found that my home computer failed to connect with my atom. In the other hand, it works successfully with my other PCs.

2. The message style is shown in conversation dialogue, which is pretty annoying especially when you hit the wrong button then it goes reply to the sender.

If you know how to fix these two issues, i will consider to reinstall ^_^ the ROM back to Kumara 6.1 last present again. In terms of stability, i'd to say that Kumara rocks the ROMs.

i ve noticed some little problems,i ve to do soft reset sometimes because phone freezes etc but the more important problems are about the cell phone:i use vodafone it as operator:when im talking with someone almost everytime after 2o 3 min i didnt hear anything and i m costricted to close the calling and re-calling

today i ve noticed problems with sms : i didnt receive sms for a while (about 30-40 min) and after that i received about 20 and more sms

what about?
i would like to install a new rom (maybe i can resolve theseproblems?)

Just curious about the differences between the WM6 and WM5 versions. I couldn't get my GPS to work with WM6. I run TomTom 6. The difference in the setup as far as I could see was in WM5 I could establish an incoming com port from the GPS unit, but in WM6 only an outgoing port.

Any suggestions?

i downdload and install wm6.1 from xdaflameusers.com, this was real messy..problem phone keep frozen i have to take battery out of the phone to reset (no keys is working)..can not sync with pc?
i took battery out for 2 hours and put it back in and roll back original wm5 ( i though it was dead)..

wm6 no need incoming port, just outgoing port..
first: don't run TOMTOM yet when you install , on BLUETOOTH connect with your gps reciever first and set outgoing port for it (better 5 or 9 )

second: you have to set up your GPS setting (in SETTING---SYSTEM), set
GPS SOFTWARE on port 7 and HARDWARE on port X (X port that you connect with your GPS recieved in first step..

third: as you experience with tomtom , you should know where to select port for OTHER GPS DEVICE in tomtom PREFERENCE (GPS STATUS).

But,now I found a problem: my camera doesn't work right.
When I enter camera the screen is frozen, and the buttons on the screen can be touch and response.

Oh, It a mistake,I my camera problem cause by "Bug Fixed -> WM61_OS20273 Ver_2" and "PDAVIET_ROM_WM61_OS20275_ATOM_Sonblack" is better.

this PDAVIET_ROM_WM61_OS20275_ATOM_Sonblack was work properly for the first time, and after 1 day suddenly it has a same problem too..... :(

Moreover, if you want to use wm6.1 for atom, u should try ROM of Mr.Sonblack.
The lastest version is core 20755 not 20753.

I already downloaded "NEW XDA ATOM WM6 0.70 (CHT-Chinese Traditional)".
I found only the ROM file "diskimage_Ver.nb0" but without the ROM flasher and auxiliary files inside the RAR file.

Please teach me how to flash it into my Atom Pure.

Installed this ROM in my O2 Atom...but when I long press the power button for shut down, it doesn't. It just put it to suspend, but not total shut down. Why? Something wrong?

Why windows mobile doesn't have an option called Shut Down like what windows XP/vista has?

Firstly, I would like to say "Thanks so much" to you for the latest o2 XDA Atom rom (Wm6.1 OS 20765).:)
This is more stable compared to WM_OS20275 due to that rom got problem such as: "auto stop while playing music within certain time", "Camera problem", etc...
About this new rom, the problems above has been solved..

But I faced some problems also in this latest rom (OS 20765), I cannot change my today screen's theme, when I choose another theme like DiamondQVGA theme, my today screen never change to black colour but still in the green colour (start and btm toolbar)..:confused:. Besides that, after I used some application such as IE6, my touchflo will deactivated, and required to tap the words from the today screen so that able to reactivate my touchflo manila 2D.

About the problems is normal or the bugs?? Thanks for help!!:)

as you know O2 Atom has low internal memory.if we have a very clean rom we could install our favorite apps on sd card.
then I need a rom with very basic application and without any installed software like Office 6.1,winrar,Adobe reader,java midlet and etc

I have O2 XDA Atom about 3 year old. I flashed ROM by SONBLACK for Win 6.1 and recently flashed ROM by KhoHa for Win 6.5. I really appreciate the work by SONBLACK and KHO HA.

Problems faced by my O2 are
1. It gets switched off automatically when i try to take call and sometimes try to save contact or some times by any event.

2. When it get switched off, if someone calls on my mobile, then even if its switched off,the dialing person listens to the ring tone. This is causing grave problems for me.

Hi I'm only new to this and would seek any assistance please.

I have a 02 Atom with model xda atom with version ext romEX0023 amd ROM 20060426B1WWE.

The unit keeps locking up and I have reset it many times with the same issues. The camera also has decided not to operate as well. It is also very slow changing windows. Would anyone please advise what ROM version I should down load to solve this issue.

Hi Iron eagle,

Can just just confirm if the ROM update is right for Jiggs version. I tried the 8mb and 6mb pagepool and they have the same program memory size(50.4MB) whereas the 6mb pagepool supposed to be bigger than then 8mb. The 4mb's version is correct, I am getting 54.4mb.

Maybe the link got mixed up or something.
