and the 1st bug I noticed.
When I`m using ukrainian regional setting - it cause Internet Explorer slowdown.
Feels like it hard to refresh\render page - it is very hard to scroll page.

I found a problem with the system sound, and cant get it figured out.
I installed the WM6 sound fix, but its if the sounds "jumps" and is not fluent.

When i listen to a track on media player, the songs jumps.
Its like something is working in the background or summin.

Has anyone else experience this?

Hmm, for me MediaPlayer plays mp3 fluently... heck, even AudioManager plays without choking - everything is fine.

And scrolling InternetExplorer on polish locale settings is fast, too.

Strange problems... specially you, rac - you're reporting quite many problems. I have no idea why it's working so bad for you :confused: Probably there's problem with one of your softs installed. Did you format your hive and storage after flashing? It seems to me as it weren't done, thus having really garbaged hive.

For the slow and jerky scrolling in PIE on large pages ihave found a possible solution.

I have only copied all exe,dll,mui files into windows folder.
After reboot my Blue Angel with Helmi_c WM6 scrollingspeed is again very fast.

Guys, feedback on the sound. I installed Winampaq, and the sound is great! No problems.

I think something i installed does not work with my Media player!!
So im sorted!

Also, the device does not hang up or anything. So the problem was defenitley the 6 tab HTC home plugin!

little speed can be gained by turning of cleartype.
Bug can be seen, for example, at 1-st page of this treated.
Beginning is ok, after while when there were a lot of texts - slowdown appears.
for example - at wm5 scroling downward one page takes less then 1 second; in wm6 - 3-4 seconds, the more text - the more slowdown.
images/flash/frame not affect speed as the text do.

It's been an issue since helmi_C's wm5. not fixed until now.

Well, there is a fix for zooming. The problem is, it introduces another bug :rolleyes: preview image is 90 degrees rotated :eek: It was taken from BA's camera with Hima driver.

The only bug i find is that i cant get intent midlet manager to run, When i install it and try open it nothing happens... it adds it to recently run programs but thats about all.. I dunno if this is because im doing soemthing wrong or because theres a problem with the midlet manager and WM6 ?

The same bug has Helmy_c BA wm6 - it not on my mind only.
Let`s talk about native functionality that can`t be provided becose of bugs.
any questions about non correctly working 3-rd party software need to be posted - "all wm6 bug here"

Sound OK on GSM for usual communication calls.
BUT...

It appears the the sound is not routed to the correct audio block.

You can set an activesync connection throgh bluetooth and it works fine, but connecting by USB don't work. ?¿?¿?

CommManager does not close gracefully from Running programs (Settings/system/memory/runnin programs) you must force to close.

If I use this attached it close without problem.

I think Ms Live from AddOn is one of the responsibles of slowdown the system, because it save 100 unnecesary files in Windows directory, install this instead and you don't note any lag.....

Camera bug ?
- Brightness, Zoom, White Balance - doesn't work.
- While in video mode select MMS video size (resolution), Camera stop work. FOREVER in video mode.

Active sync bug ?
- Active sync (4.5 at XP) is slooow.
- PDA remowed from cradle and AS continue in synchronize ..

Menu sound bug ?
- "Menupop" sound be silent ..

Calculator bug ?
Calculator key "," is too low. This is IMPORTANT error !!! :)

In other threads people are complaining about shutdowns at fairly high battery rates, up to 40%. I believe that thread belongs here.

Personally I do not have that problem, maybe because I'm using XCPUscalar running at 200MHZ most of the time, maybe because of Radio 1.18, also reported by others as trouble-free.

BTW Tomtom 6.03 works smoothly here and I have no problem using Internet on cradle. Of course I do run Tomtom at 400MHz in car cradle.

I guess the camera settings zoom, brightness and white balance before taking a picture do not fully function is because the software expects a more advanced camera, zoom, crop and auto correct do work after taking a picture.
Some camera settings do work better than you would expect by just looking at the screen. I tested now by taking 5 pictures of my desk with different brightness and white balance settings and the thumbnails are clearly very different.

Activesync is indeed slow, but I don't care as long as charging takes more time than atcivesync.

I did notice the sound pop from time to time with WM2003 and 2005 but never with this ROM.

@ciberus perhaps when you live in an area with hardly ever changing roads other software that Tomtom might be a good alternative. In my area things change so fast that even the latest Tomtom maps are always outdated before you can download. Future developments when Tomtom users can constantly cooperatively update the maps will finally solve this.

Donwload attached file and unzip the file inside (webview.dll) and copy to \Windows directory, this solve the slow scroll problem when reading big html files in explorer.

Yes, I activate advanced network and the device connect to activesync, I can copy files and syncronize but no internet is share from PC to PDA, I don't know if it's my problem in windows configuration, but I remember with TofClock's WM5 I don't had problems..., curiously if I connect to activesync with bluetooth instead os USB internet is shared ok....

It's a looong known issue.

Generally, camera won't be perfect in other OS than PPC2003. It's just nobody made good drivers for it. There was a nice try from mwilmar, he ported a camera app from BA with Hima drivers, but it has various problems, too.

Are you using Hima's camera? Really?... It's so.... ekhm... well, bad. :eek:

I investigate this issue, well, as you know activesync can connect to PDA in two forms:

RNDIS Connection, (Advanced network checked in USB to PC in settings), if you open in your pc Lan connections in Control panel you see you see pocketpc appear when you insert it in the cradle, because with RNDIS activesync connect the pda as a lan device.
This works for all ok? but in my case I get syncronization but no internet is sharing to ppc, this is probably due to my bad config in Windows ?¿ but I cant't get fix...

Serial Connection, (Advanced network Unchecked in USB to PC in settings), with this mode Activesync make a connection to device throgh serial, the problem is that this node don't work in this rom (PC Windows don't recognize the device and don't connect and in my case ppc is freeze).
But I remember I can connect by serial with TofClock's WM5 Rom, so I take the DLL serialusbfn.dll from it and put in \Windows directory, soft-reset and voila, PC recognizes the pda and Activesync serial connection works, internet sharing also....

My activesync is working through NDIS. Is there any other good reason to install this dll?

I do have another problem: I have Tomtom 6 with BT Tomtom receiver and another much smaller BT GPS receiver coupled to COM0: with longer battery life and (I believe) better reception. Both work great in Tomtom, but I want to record tracks that I walk. Tried several GPS tracking software, none of them gets connected to either device, not with Tomtom running, not with Tomtom off, not with GPS sharing on or off. Could this be a serial dll missing problem?

Bug? There isn't such a bug in this ROM. You have a problem with your USB port probably (too low currency).

It will open Bluetooth and display a message "Select Menu and Search Devices to find the new devices."

Not true. Check your settings -> buttons and the third tab "Lock". It's there, and it's working. Really :) It's just it was moved...

I don't know if the following problem is related with a "bug" or if it's a problem with parameters.
When I'm on the phone and I receive another call, I can switch between them but I can not "conference" them (th option is greyed in the menu). With WM2003, I am able to do that.
Strange... Conference is a handy feature... I miss it...

Any idea?

In most cases, switching the phone off using the COM manager freezes the system. In some cases, it freezed so bad that I needed to do a hard reset.

Might be connected to using MS Push Mail, but I am not entirely sure.

I've replaced the dll and soft resetted the device(wm6 HTC Kaiser). Now when i go to USB to PC and uncheck "enable advanced network functionality" and tap OK, it says
Failed to disable RNDIS to use serial.

How can i fix this, or where can i find the original dll? Thanks for you efforts

I too have an xda with the same problem. I have tried your fix, however my pda denies me access to the serial usb file in order to replace it. Any suggestions?

Try to rename serialusbfn.dll into serialusbfNEW.dll, copy to Windows folder and then rename back, or use Total Commander to copy. That´s it!
