Here is the brand new rom version for T-mobile Wing. It has been modified based on the OS of Wing (thanks to Mr PhamQuang from PDAViet) and included TouchFlo. :)

This rom is the same as the version TOUCHFLO v4.17.07.12 PDAVIET (based on HTCs' OS), but for Wings' users only because of the keyboard. I am sure that from now on there is no more complain about the keyboard problem. :p

How to flash it? Just extract the nbh file by nbhtool. Then you can flash the extracted OS with Aserg's method.

It has a quite big storage compared with the original Shipped rom and TouchFlo runs well! ;)

I tried this version on my wing, but it never worked. I've being using PDAVIET since version .07 - .15 but .14 did not complete the flash for some reason.

From what I know there is only one rom for Wing at the moment. This is the original TMO USA Ship version. The cooked rom v14.PDAViet is based on this rom. Mr PhamQuang removed some APP from T-mobile and added some new things as follows:

I'm able to reflash back to version .12 or even .15 but not .14.

1.backup up any data you want to keep
2.install Tmob RUU factory shipped wm6 version
3.install the Asearg Policies cab file
4.soft reset

Don't flash this rom yet until we figure out what's wrong with the OS.nb file.
If you do, most likely you will brick your wing. If you still want to try it make sure you have the offical RUU handy.

This is the first smartphone I've ever had, and the most modification I've ever done was change the pagepool a few weeks ago! So I'm a bit new to all this stuff. well i used the nbhtool to open the nb file and renamed it to os.nb and just copied it to the touch flo final but it didnt work either way so... somebody needs to step up and fix this lol. im reverting back to the 1.1 i was happy with it

Does v14 (and v12 from which it was created) solve the contact sync problem I've read about? I sync contacts/calendar/email to/from Outlook all the time so I need it working. If that problem is gone and the keyboard issue is resolved I'll be the first on my block with the rom :)

Well I've stopped wasting my time on this, after 10 tries, I still didnt get it. I tried switching os.nb's with different ones, different methods of flashing, different ruu's, everything.

I honestly wonder if this was even tested.. Though the work is appreciated, but Im sticking to touchflo 1.1 for now as my main os

Correct. The Alt functions are not always correct.

which to me, I can live with. When I need to insert a question mark or something, I hit alt then the symbol key and just pick it. Theres a list of what does and doesnt work in my thread.

I got this to work after the third time. I used the nbhtool to extract the os.nb and replace the os.nb from the pdaviet package. I also ran itsutils_preparation.cab on the third time. It is up and running. If you have any questions please feel free to message me.

The new one is based on the original T-Mobile Wing OS. It is also like the version v15 for HTC P-4350 but the rom-cooker restored the original dialpad or themes from Wing.

2 installed serg*.cab
3 soft reset
4 ran the update script
5 hard reset.

Hold down the 2 - - buttons next to the call and end button and turn your phone on it will ask you to press the green button to perform the hard reset.

I registered as well. Look at the bottom an there's a little pulldown menu that allows you to change the page to English (Only the infrastructure not the posts). You can then see the register link at the top ;)

Most forums use some kind of template framework.... so is the pdaviet

1st field: your user name
2nd set: password (repeat second time in the field on the right)
3rd: set: email address (repeat second time in the field on the right)
4th: type in the values that you see in the image on the right

I took all of the files included in v4.17.07.10, yes 10

and moved the OS.nb files from the *.15 version...... and the install worked the 1st time.

Now, I do not know if this will work for you... but it is worth while trying this with the wing version of *.14.......

I dont think this will work, as I think its the OS.nb file that is giving us problems. I guess anythings worth a shot, Ill wait for someone else to try i just got my phone back to normal after 2 days.

What I am suggesting is that someone may want to try the approach I took in installing the PDAVIET v4.17.07.15. Rom v4.17.07.15 has a problem installing on my wing similar to PDAVIET v4.17.07.14 Wing version.

It was too late last night for me to try installing the Wing Rom in a similar approach but I figured it would be worth while posting the message on the forum to let you know that this method may work for someone.

Here are the steps I took: (please understand that my install could have worked out by chance and not because of the steps below)
1. installed OEM WING RUU
2. Unzipped PDAVIET v4.17.07.10 rom
3. replaced OS.nb file from step 1 with the OS.nb file from the PDAVIET v4.17.07.15. OR PDAVIET v4.17.07.14 Wing version
4. install ASer*.cab included in the folder from step 1
5. soft reset
6. establish an activesync connection
7. run the update script
8. observe no error script completion (if errors are there, I guess you have to start at step 1)
9. hard reset.

If someone is willing to try and the OS.nb file is not corrupted, this may work.

I also have a wing and have tried that and lots of other ways of installing this version of the PDAVIET rom without success.

I've even tried to rebuild the rom and still no luck. Version .15 installs fine for me without errors. But version .15 did not allow me to remap the wmplayer within the tf_bio Touch Setting correctly.

So, now I'm back to version .12 which has been running fine.

I installed and didn't see any apps. although the screen shots show them????
I extracted the nbh file from the first post and converted it to a os.nb file and copied that into my pda viet for wing folder and it took me 3-4 to get it going, but with out the poplular touch flo screen being standard I switched to pdaviet .15.. apps are more important to me right now then the keyboard. Plus the memory before installing 3rd party apps was like 12 mb. any 1 else

I've been using PDAVIET since version .07 without issues, so that means I do know how to install a ROM.

I think PDAVIET needs to relook this versions OS.nb file and make changes as needed.

I have yet to mess with this ROM, because it appears no one is able to install it successfully... The 2-3 people who apparently have, apparently went thru 5+ attempts until finally getting it installed....
I have yet to mess with it, bc I don't want to waste time trying to install it, when everyone else is claiming they are unable to. Some other guy claims it doesn't have any of the updates install on it either, meaning its the same thing as the "Base Tmo Rom w/ Touchflo" which is what I have installed now.

I'm really anxious to install a PDAVIET rom on my phone with the working keyboard and updates ..etc.. so I'd love it if someone figured this out!

You installed this PDAVIET v14 ROM? Because I can tell you that this Rom doesn't look anything like the stock rom. Maybe you installed the Rom instead?

Why did I introduce only the nbh file here? There is a reason! At first I started many times flashing with the OS.nb but no success like you. So I requested the rom-cooker to provide the nbh file.

I got the OS.nb from the nbh file by using nbhtool. With the new OS.nb I also failt twice. By the 3th time the falshing was succesful. I think you should turn your phone to Flightmode.

Has anybody been succesful with the flashing this version?

This rom does not work and needs to be fixed by the PDAVIET team.

You started this post and stated that you've installed it successfully after the 3rd try. That to me is not a good rom, if a rom works correctly then you should be able to install it the first time around.

Yes, it's a problem in pdaviet rom (same in touch version). You'll have to install esmertec manually and everything will work fine again. You can download the cab here:

I had a friend of my mine help me CID unlock the phone. Apparently that was the problem that everyone is having where it errors, and the only way around it was to get past the CID unlock. Once we figured out the CID unlock, it installed on the first try with no issues.

The only problem, is my boy got it to work .. so I'm not entirely sure. While I'm really good at computer stuff, I'm rather new to smartphones ... and this is the first "3rd party" rom i've ever dealt with... .
He did mention it was a problem with the CID, and that he had to get around the CID check in order to install it, but once he did, it installed on the first try with no problems.

You need to hold the camera/voice buttons and then soft reset the phone not the power button.

I tested ASerg way of loading roms and it worked 0/10 times. I stumbled on to this and it works 100% for me. I dont know why installing ASerg a second time helps but it does for me.

1. INSTALL A FRESH OFFICIAL RUU
2. ActiveSync\Windows Mobile Device Center should be connected and it is desirable as "Guest".
3. Put your device in flightmode (radio off) if someone call, or sms you during flash, you will have errors.
4. Copy ASerg_Policies.CAB to your device and install it, THEN SOFT RESET, I say again SOFT RESET.
5. Copy ASerg_Policies.CAB a second time to your device and install it, THEN SOFT RESET, I say again SOFT RESET.

It's been running for about 25 min, the other version only took about 11 min on my pc. I hope this will work, but most likely it will fail again.

It's now over 30 min, still just sits there, I'm going to reset and flash the ruu and try it again.

Be sure to use the Rom via the link I provided. The 14F is just a different method of installation that wasn't working correctly... so you have use the RUU_Signed.nbh file, rather than the OS.NB file.

I did it, after that set the proxy for the Data connection and then soft rebooted, my internet and etc works and it keeps telling me that i have MM waiting but nothing happens.

The glossy black bars is just a theme. if you go to Settings, then today and change your theme to anything .... then go to applications and glossy black bars, you'll see what it is. If just makes the top (start) and the bottom (softkeys) black and glossy. haha

I just installed this new version, it runs great, but I was unable to get Biotouch to change my video player. It's currently set to \Windows\ping.exe instead of \Windows\wmplayer.exe. I made all changes as with all previous version but this one does not change the path even after a soft reset.
Going back to version .12.

Version .15 does the same thing.

More notes:

When you enable touchflo and click on the Video button, it will open up both Windows Media player and ping.exe.

I'm just wondering if any body else had this problem.

Lay out please nbhtool.exe which you you use. At me it is not converted correctly with NB in NBH. The insertion c nbh comes to the end with a mistake.

You never need to use an nbhtool.exe. Just follow the instructions on my post. You're making it way more complicated than it really is.

Go to Settings, buttons and set it to something else. On the Tmobile Stock ROM, the voice command button is for the MS voice command or whatever it's called... that is NOT included in this rom... I set this button to the comm manager. I believe this rom includes something called voice speed dial ... you can set it to that.



You need to use high resolution pictures. If you look at the size of the pictures you see in the phonebook or call history and compare them to the size of the pictures in the cube, you'll notice the cube's pictures are a lot bigger....

Here is the brand new rom version for T-mobile Wing. It has been modified based on the OS of Wing (thanks to Mr PhamQuang from PDAViet) and included TouchFlo. :)

This rom is the same as the version TOUCHFLO v4.17.07.12 PDAVIET (based on HTCs' OS), but for Wings' users only because of the keyboard. I am sure that from now on there is no more complain about the keyboard problem. :p

How to flash it? Just extract the nbh file by nbhtool. Then you can flash the extracted OS with Aserg's method.

It has a quite big storage compared with the original Shipped rom and TouchFlo runs well! ;)

well i can not get this worked properly for a week! now the problem is that the device does not recognize the SD memory card. when i go there there are no files showing. i check from the system settings and it does recognize the card and even shows its used size correctly. once that this happened i restarted and everything was fine but now after a few resets still the problem exists. any pros know how to handle this? thanks...

EDIT ::: Once the installation is complete, be sure to go to SETTINGS, CONNECTIONS and run the NETWORK WIZARD, which will setup all your phone settings for the T-mobile network (MMS, Internet, etc...)

hey all..thanks duprade for the info on shiny blk bars..

im having the same problem with my sd card. if u go to file explorer/storage card/ the 'my documents' folder showed to be empty..but if u go to settings/memory/storagecard..it showed the car and its contents still be there..or at least the same amount used.. so I soft reset..everything works now..execpt now the my docs folder has doubled..showing two my docs, which both go to the same files..note its not a copy or shortcut..ex: my doc and my doc 1. they both are labeled my doc..so I tried to erase from device and it won't let me..I do it through desktop..and it let me delete the folder..but also deleted all the files..any 1 getting this?
any info would be great..

p.s my weather worx on gprs/edge..sometimes it says can't dl..but it eventually does..hope that helps..

No, I don't have myfaves on my plan... because of the whole free Tmo to Tmo, so I don't need it... plus I have a million minutes, so I don't really need myfaves.

I use SPB phone suite for the whole "picture dialing" on my today screen. You tap the little pictures icon on the bottom left of the screen, to make the picture dial contacts pop up.

Duprade, can you get your weather to upgrade over gprs/edge? Im using the tmobile proxy hack and it never works for me. A lot of people have said how theve had problems updating the weather over gprs.

One more thing, is it possible to change the font in the comm manager? I really hate the times new roman look, it ruins the sleek look of the rom.

Ya go into messaging server and edit the connection the phone uses to send/recieve mms. it wants to kill the internet connection to open up a proxied connection for mms switch it from t mobile or xxxxx mms to t mobile data and it will use your regular internet connection to send recieve and wont bother u to end the connection and download the mms. hope it helps.

Never mind. 3 more attempts and it worked. Don't know what changed (can't imagine I did it differently every time! :-) ), but it's working now.

The .14 ROM is nice; got it working with MyFaves on the menu as well, so I haven't lost that feature. Takes a long time to boot, but it seems to run well.

Since the upgrade to the PDAVIET ROM, I can't connect to my home AP. It's using WEP, I've checked the key 4 times, and have it setup to use the SDIO WLAN wireless adapter. It's also setup to use a server assigned IP address.

The device can see other networks, but for some reason cannot connect to mine. Typically this means it doesn't know what access point it's looking for (I don't broadcast my SSID), but I have nowhere to enter it.

Any ideas?

I love this ROM; easy to load, easy to manipulate, and nice to use. However, I have everything working but one thing: the Phone button on my Wing doesn't work from the HTC Home Screen.

It works if I have any other window open, and it works from the TouchFlo interface, but if I am anywhere on the Home Screen, it won't launch if I click on the green "phone" button.

I've attached a screen shot of the Home Screen so that everyone can see what I'm referring to (phone button doesn't work at all if HTC Home screen is the top screen), in the event I didn't describe it well.

I haven't seen a thread like this yet, so is this just me or have I overlooked the fix?

The PDAVIET .14 ROM with TouchFlo has a speed dialer (not the voice speed dialer), and I'd like to remap the default "contacts" key on the home screen with the remapper but don't know the link or exe to point at. Anyone know what I need to point the key remapper at for this to work?

Love this ROM so far. I have my Wing set up almost exactly the way I'd like. Have a couple of issues now and wanted to see if anyone else have these or know how to fix this.

1) With the T-Mobile ROM, after you take a picture using the camera and click on the Envelope icon, you have the option to send the pic via email or MMS. The PDA-Viet rom does not have the option to send via MMS. Any way to add that option back? In addition, if I start a new MMS message, the To: field does not pull from my contacts anymore...meaning if I start typing in a phone number (or name), it doesn't show a list of matches from my contacts. I have to type in the entire phone number to send MMS messages now. I did run the network wizard after installing this ROM.

2) The BioTouch settings don't seem to work very well. Changing the Audio player to MortPlayer (installed to my storage card) does not work at all. It continues to load WMP. Changing the Photos application to Resco Photo Editor sort of works...it'll open Resco Photo Editor, but it also opens the default Video and Images application. Anyone able to change these settings successfully?

If you have email, new voicemail, or new text messages its usually amber.

Has anyone figured out the issue with weather yet? I ran the network setup and windows live setup worked but for whatever reason my live sync, email, internet explorer or weather wont (sms does work fine though). Work email is IMAP4 and whenever I go to send/recieve it says "Cannot connect with current connection settings" Its setup to use the internet for connection (even tried forcing it to tmo data). My best guess is it seems like the data connection isnt opening properly or is but isnt directed right. My phone does show the E on top along with the E above the signal bars though. Any recomendations? I've tried softreset atleast 5 times along with running the net setup a few times.

sorry i ran into a problem for some reason my finger scroll is not working nemore did i disabled it some how... i just change my schroll thickness made it thinner after that it didnt work nemore i tried changin it back to the regular thickness and still wont work.. it still work on pocketcm

I've attached the remap softkey application to this message. Unzip it and copy the executable to your handheld, and then launch it.

If you're prompted, type in the button name TouchFlo, and then type the location: /windows/startup/touchflo

If memory serves me correctly, that should remap the key for you.

that may happen if your ringtones are located on ur storage card... the phone is calling a file that "isn't there" bc during device wake up, the storage card drivers haven't loaded yet.

Check to make sure your storage card hasn't corrupted or disappeared bc of the weird bug that does that.

Now I might be able to go with a more stylish headset instead of having to use my bulky Logitech one since prior to this ROM, other headsets I've tried were no where near loud enough for me.

I've attached the remap softkey application to this message. Unzip it and copy the executable to your handheld, and then launch it.

If you're prompted, type in the button name TouchFlo, and then type the location: /windows/startup/touchflo

If memory serves me correctly, that should remap the key for you.

This is the first ROM that I've gotten to work on my Wing and I'm liking it so far but is there any way to get the HTC weather to work over data connection instead of just WiFi?

Does anyone know how to change the font in the comm manager? Is there a registry setting, or is it not possible. Same thing with the touchflo cube, the font is like times new roman and i hate that look.

this seems to be the same version of the wizard that is in the settings page..
is it different? recently my weather stopped working as well..will dl this wizard fix the prob?
