I have no sound in my O2 XDA Orbit

I have this machine few days ago, so I'm noob with this machine yet. The thing is everything works well except the sound. For any reason I cannot hear MP3, keys taps, alarms, ringtones, etc. Of course, I checked the volume level (phone and system) and both are at 100%. Also i did a soft and hard reset with no success. In my Comm Manager I have only enabled WLAN, Ringer and Phone (Bluetooth is turned off).

Any idea? Do I need headphones to hear the sounds?

BTW, I'm now using this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=325295 (Premium Plus version) and YES, I updated SPL before flashing.

My speaker broke down 2 months after buying the P3300. I do admit I travel alot and had the GPS software volume at max. Although this is my first HTC product I have read that this was an issue on previous models like the S200... I now use the GPS software volume at a low setting.

If you have not recovered the sound with a hard reset you will have to send it in for repair. My unit was repaired under warranty and took around 2 weeks.
