Dell Axim X50v WM6 A02 RTM & A03 Beta 1 (//MG)

Hi All!

Dell Axim X50v [FCC ID: NM8HC3U / IC: 4115B-HC3U] I seek "bin" file extension ROM.

i was trying to flash the ROM from WM2003se to WM5 a01, but the update didnt finish. it hang on the Image Updating (Erasing storage) And now everytime its booting up its only up to the Dell logo which has a progress bar at the bottom which gets stock on 10%

I already tried all of the options here but no success

o Im still stuck, I tried everything on what i could find at google but my device is still stuck at "Image Updating" - Erasing storage. I can still go to SD card bootloading though. Can i still revive this? Please help! Thanks in advance.

Hey Maglite. I have had trouble loading any new updates, The message I continue to receive is Update failed (102). What is the numerical reference? I have looked everywhere and have not seen a reference to this.

Please Help.

I have updated mine Axim to WM5 using Dell executable which I have downloaded using link from this site (either this thread or Makuu WM6.1 thread)

I am having a really dificult time with the banner screen......all I ever get is the Dell blue screen and it appears all I have done is a soft reset...........any suggestions

I have an axim x50v with 2003 se a02 - trying to do the wm6 upgrade but I can't get past the wm5 a01. When I do the resets holding the wireless button + the power button and then tap the back reset button it goes into the white screen and at the top it says: SD Image Update A01 and freezes there. I have tried to tap on the control key twice or do nothing at all and it just sits there.

Any advice would be nice

I found that I needed to do the following:

strat SD image loader by pressing Wilreless + Power + Reset, do it again, release reset button quickly, hold Wireless + Power untill image loader kicks in.

This worked for me, hope it helps.

Thanks for that advice but it still just stops on the screen with the blue strip on top that reads......

SD Image Update A01.... I can do a reset then it goes back to 2003 SE..


I would really like to be able to update to wm6

to upgrade 2003SE to WM5 I used executable from Dell. I got it from this thread:

People say it's official update from Dell, it should work. At least I didn't have any problem with it.

I flashed to A02, everything seems OK but I'm wondering what version of TCPMP people are using with their WM6.1 Axims ... I tried installing this one, which I use on my Touch Pro: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381292

However it is not perfectly stable, it crashes on some AVI files (not sure which codec, possibly divx or xvid) and does not seem to support the Marathon (2700g) coprocessor.

You can try my A09 WM6.1 VOIP Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=444540), it has TCPMP embedded and perfectly working for me (Plus irda is supported).

Well the install went smoothly however I still cannot play the same videos. This time it says "CoreASP: Interlaced video not supported". It worked fine with an earlier version under WM2003SE...

Hi, I have a problem with WM5 and WM6 ROMs on my device.
This post is general, not this thread specific, but I hope to find the answer here.
Problem is as follows:
When I run MioMap (iGo 2006) and another GPS program (sygic/McGuider),
they cannot "get" the full screen area. In MioMap I see blank black line on the
top of the screen ,it has a size of title bar, and in Sygic, I can really see the title bar, which hides part of Sygic's screen.I have experienced that problem
both in MagLite's WM5 A02 rom and in makuu's a09 VoIP edition.
So, question is now, is it only me, or some other people encountered that
behavior too, and me be can tell how to fix that.

I have used OCN8 (which I believe pretty close to iGO2006) on makuu's VoIP ROM - works just fine. Maybe you have some settings set wrong or some other apps interfere...
