View Full Version : Vox Update SPL (USPL) 1.16

Hi guys,
I've just implemented a Vox USPL which allows you to flash any Vox ROM updates, i.e. you can flash any *official* ROM even if your phone's model and vendor ID doesn't match. It's confirmed that you can also flash cooked ROMs :)
This SPL is based on original Vox 1.16 SPL but includes 3 patches:
1) g_cKeyCardSecurityLevel = 0 (set 32)
2) Does not check Model & Vendor ID
3) Does not check signature*
(*) code must be formally signed i.e. contain properly-formatted signatures on the right places, however no checking is performed against them.
This means you can flash ANY ROM to your Vox after running USPL on it, no need to pay for CID unlock anymore!
The USPL will *not* help you to SIM unlock your device. You still have to pay for that.
The USPL runs in RAM and is *not* flashed to your device, so there is no risk there. Once it runs you can run any official Vox ROM update utility.
The USPL does *not* permanently CID unlock your phone, like the CID unlocker from imei-check or so.
After you flashed a ROM your phone is again CID locked. Each time you wonna flash a ROM with a different model and/or vendor ID (different from your phone) or a cooked ROM, you must run the USPL again and then flash the ROM.
It's beta and untested and the risk is entirely yours !! Don't blame me if you brick your phone :D
EDIT:
You can now also flash the USPL allowing you to flash any unsigned (cooked ROM or ROM module, e.g. radio or OS) or signed ROM with any model/vendor ID. The USPL substitutes your SPL until you perform a full ROM update. Consider it as an extra insurance in case something goes wrong with flashing cooked ROMs or any other ROM update ! :D
Instructions:
1. Run the USPL (Vox USPL- CID BYPASS.zip)
2. Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe (Vox-USPL-RUU.zip)
Have fun,
JockyW
The attachments:
SDA_ApplicationUnlock.zip : application unlocker if u need it
mtty1.42.zip : terminal emulator (not neccessary if u only do ROM updates, but if you wonna play with the bootloader commands (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319663) you need it)
Vox-USPL-RUU.zip: flash version of USPL (Note: you must first run USPL from "Vox USPL- CID BYPASS.zip" before you can flash it with ROMUpdateUtility.exe from Vox-USPL-RUU.zip !!!)
Vox USPL- CID BYPASS.zip : instructions included
Credits: in particular to pof. This USPL and also the one for Excalibur (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1508184&postcount=1) is based on his USPL for the Elf. See here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=320155)

what the difference between sim unlock and cid unlock?
kast
20th September 2007, 10:31 AM
This can be found in various threads around here, anyway.
SIM Lock - You can't use a SIM from a different provider than the one who sold you the phone.
CID-Lock - You can't flash your phone with a ROM which hasn't been cooked by your provider (or manufacturer for HTC unbranded phones).

anyone online right now wanna drop me a line about this... what do I do exactly with the ruu file. Do I place rom image in that folder while runnning update???
neptune
28th September 2007, 05:58 AM
so i followed the instructions and executed the cid bypass(installed itsutils and haret). once i get to the end it says use mtty or flash with RUU. so I attempt to flash right after (am I supposed to flash while the screen is black) but its gives me a connections error. I figure its because the phone is off. So I turn it on and update with the RUU again but only make it to 3% before I get a invalid vendor id. Would anyone care to comment on how I can flash this vox to the dopod rom...

To the users who had the same problem as me I am currently flashing my phone and I managed to get past my problem by using the SDA Application unlocker on my vox. I always thought that HTC were already application unlocked. Was going crazy for a while but I guess I should've followed the instructions step-by-step regardless of what I thought.
Big up to jockyw2001(and of course pof for without him alot of us would still be using shipped rom) for this wicked tool.

I only got this phone so I could upgrade it for a friend to stop the boot loop. It seems to have fixed that problem so I guess it's better than the other roms. On the other hand I can't stand smartphone's so my suggestion is to ditch your SP and switch to PPC :p . Also I read before hand that this ROM doesn't include Windows Live Messenger but it is included in the rom. Just thought I'd let u guys know.

Just ran into another problem and would appreciate some input. I understand that USPL only works for one flash...but I wasn't aware that a hard reset counted as a flash. Regardless my device hung at the dopod boot screen after a hard reset. Is this normal after using USPL on a device, and if so does this occur with all devices??? I would hate to give a phone back and have to tell the person that they can't perform a hard reset...

If you flash a full ROM the SPL is overwritten with the one in the ROM (Dopod = 1.19). Nothing to do with USPL. Booting can take a long time after hard reset. Unplug battery and try again.

Thanks, I got it to work eventually...Good to know USPL doesn't effect hard resets, I guess you learn something new everyday.
If I had to take a guess before hand I'd figure a SP would boot faster than a PPC, but I realize now that I'd be wrong...
thanks to all for the help, I can finally return this Vox back to its owner

thought I fixed the problem. seems as if after a day it just hangs at the dopod screen. It was working fine everytime I had it. As soon as I give it back it seems to hang. Guess ima just flash it back to the HTC rom, too much hassle for just $20.

Orange users should contact Orange and request to "Application Unlock" their device. After application unlock it is possible to run unsigned apps.
Apparently there is an Orange certificate necessary. I don't know the exact details, but I heard that Orange does provide a solution for the issue.

If you want to run regedit it useless becouse it desn't work even you aplication unlock by orange provider... Notice that you can't install any cab if you don't install orange cab before :) Do the hard reset and try to install that modaco de-rand pack :) You won't be able to, but after install orange cab you can do that so the application lock has been removed :)

Step by step:
1) Hard reset
2) Install modaco pack
3) Install orange cab

Ive used this on my HTC S710 (vodafone branded) from the netherlands.
Besides its now a English phone instead dutch(not a real problem) it has removed the "vodafone" software and given back the live and msn software.
Further i havent found any real changes besides that a few icons are not 'in folders' anymore.
This gives the menu a bit messy look.
And "the Netherlands" are not supported some of the settings
Anyone else from netherlands having same problem and "solved" it??
thanx for good update.
(or maybe degrade my phone version was .3 points higher[but vodafone branded].

hey, trying to follow your tutorial, and i got up to the 'ROMupdateutility', and when i run it the following happens:
Verify that you want to update the rom version:
from: image version 1.15.405.2
to: image version vox-USPL
now i click 'next', goes through a progress bar, but then once it hits 100%, i get the following:
Error [270]: update error
image file is corrupted, please check your update utility.
what does that mean?....

i got the same on the dr gizmo vox rom
i do not think this is a rom related problem.
i tried several times but i never succeed.:(
edit :
my problem is :
i use SDA app unlocker : [ok]
i run the bat, both dll and exe are sended to the device [ok]
the launcher is started [ok]
screen become black with a linux tux, and some debug text written in green. The last word of this text is 'Loaded ...'
I launch RUU, and the device switch to bootloader ( with color gradients ), then a progressbar, that quickly goes to 100%. That here that RUU says my file is corrupted.
I must do something wrong : but what ???

I've tested it on the HTC S710 from Hi (a.k.a. KPN) from the Netherlands. It was succesfull !
But there's one thing I don't understand. I've flashed my from before with the ARA rom. This time I had to use the SDA Application unlocker (otherwise the phone will shutdown during the USPL). Why didn't that happen the first time ?

If I flash USPL on my phone, will it stay there even after I flash a ROM, or will I have to reinstall it before every "use", so to speak?
If it DOES need to be reinstalled, could it harm to install it right after flashing a rom, to have a "backup plan" if something goes wrong?
Sorry if these are noobish questions, but my only experience with these matters are with old iPaqs, where having installed a bootloader helped me "de-brick" my device after something corrupted my os image.

@ chandanbs, and to anybody else trying to update USPL / flash ROM:
If you see this error during the procedure:
Error [270]: update error
image file is corrupted, please check your update utility
The best way to troubleshoot this error is to hard reset your own phone. USPL / ROM update works flawlessly on defaul factory settings :)

no it didnt work. the same error. i tried 3 times after hard resetting, and removing my micro-SD card.
After i ran the Vox USPL- CID BYPASS utility, the device turned black, i had to take out the battery and press the power button.
then i did the Vox-USPL-RUU. the update progress bar zoomed to 100% immediately and then the error 270.
I'm not sure if its working on recent S710's.
I purchased it a month ago.
Any other suggestion.. :-|
chandanbs
18th January 2008, 02:53 PM
yes i finally did it.
the trick is while updating the Vox USPL- CID BYPASS, we have to stay in the last prompt, and they execute RUU_Vox even though it appears on the desktop PC the activesync connection not there. I found out that after the linux penguin splash screen comes and goes and display turns into black screen, the phone is not off. Then i did RUU, and it took a while 3-4 minutes and then flashed successively.
Its great !!!
Now i downloaded Dr. Gonzo's new Guava ROM, its absolutely fantastic and much faster than the crap htc original ROM.
Thanks very much guys..!! jockyw2001 and Dr. Martin Gonzo !!, You guys are rocking..:D:D:rolleyes:

I'm new here, found this site when i tried to flash my Dutch language vodafone branded HTC s710 with the new official HTC rom... which i couldn't because of a "vender id" error. I'm entirely new to this flashing business, so i guess i need some help :)
What's the deal here, cause i don't exactly get what steps i have to take to get the new rom installed?
I've downloaded the CID BYPASS file, and the offical WWE ROM. Is that all I need or do i also have to APP UNLOCK my phone first? Do i have to run the APP UNLUCK and the CID BYPASS from my phone, or on my pc via active sync?
A noobish step-by-step help plan would be nice... if anyone feels like typing it out for me :)

Welcome to xda :)
The steps are:
(all the apps you run from the pc, while the device is connected thru activesync)
-apply the application unlock and reboot
-run the .bat file from the cid bypass zip
the phone will go into a special mode
-now run the rom update utility from the RUU zip
After this your phone restarts and looks normal again.
Now it is possible to flash the official htc WWE rom on your branded phone!
good luck!
(succes!)

Well I've managed i guess...
I ran the app unluck, rebooted, ran the bat file... went through the 4 steps. I then ran the official ROM update while the bat file was still running (in the dos screen)... screen went almost black and it updated to 100%. The phone rebooted automaticly and I saw a HTC logo (new for me cause i used to see vodafone logo of course)... then the windows mobile logo, which showed a couple of mins, i guess that's normal.
On my pc active sync restarted itself cause it found the phone again i think, now the phone says: Alert, please press ok to restart the device. Guess i should do that now huh? Hope this works :D

If you like that ROM, look at the New Guava thread, it's an excellent ROM cooked by a member here, includes a lot of good utilities and integrates a good theme and everything just matches and works nicely.
You should be able to simply add a Dutch mui file from what I understand, or there might be a language pack that can be installed.
Soon you'll start cooking your own ROM, Gonzo also released a kitchen with all the needed utilities to become a chef ;)

If you flashed the original HTC WWE Rom, Dutch is already included, both the as T9 and as the system language (mui). Just go to Settings, Regional Settings and change Language and Locale to Dutch!

I doubt you can get Professional working on the Vox, as the Vox doesn't have a touchscreen.
Also, using Remote Desktop on a non-touchscreen device ... How are you planning that?

Hello all!
Have just joined today with the hope of some trickery on my orange branded E650, and I am having 1 or 2 problems
I think its down to the fact when I run the application unlocker it says phone cannot be unlocked!, then when I click ok, It says it was successful.
When I run the batch file all goes ok, but It fails when I run the RRU, as it gets to a hundred % in about 5-10 seconds then claims the file is corrupt.
Any one got any handy hints?
(and sorry to be the new guy asking for help, I intend to hang around and learn what I can) :)

WinMo Professional is the Windows Mobile Version for touchscreen devices, like Windows XP Tablet Edition for Tablet PC and WinMo Standard is for non-touchscreen devices like the HTC Vox. So it is not possible (and useful) to run Professional on a Vox. And yes it is possible to use remote desktop, but I only know through VNC. I attached a client that runs nice on the Vox, with UltraVNC running as a server. Just unzip and copy it to your phone and run.

Click "Update". Ignore the image versions, it will most likely always say 1.00.00 unless you are doing an official ROM update, this goes for Radio flashes as well.

but in the guide, it's written : Verify that you want to update the rom version:
from: image version 1.xx.xx.xx (could be anything)
to: image version vox-USPL <- this is important
its maybe dangerous if i have nothing ??

Were do I have to place the haret.exe and the other files because when I placed this files just on the map of my HTC S710 and I have run uspl_116_jockyw.bat the .bat noticed that he can't find haret.exe.
He notice this: haret.exe is unknown as an intern or extern progam or file.
Please help me!

HaReT should be copied to the device root directory by the batch file (uspl_116_jockyw.bat) - for the script to copy, HaReT.exe needs to be in the same directory. You don't need to manually copy it, but if you want to "\" is the place, top level root.
padbol2000->If you are jumping from 3->100, you need to flash patched SPL. Application Unlocker allows you to tun HaReT.

The upgrade was succesfull. But when the device automatic turned is power of and power on he gave this note:
Device start up failed due t osudden loss of power. Please click 'Yes' to continue.
Note: Do not remove battery before device has been completely shutdown (OFF).
I don't understand why a get this error and even don't know what it means (I'm from Holland so my english is not perfect).
So I have to possibilities now, click Yes ór no. If I click yes the device start up again and he freezes when the windowsmobile picture is displayed.
What do I have to do now?

WinMo Professional is the Windows Mobile Version for touchscreen devices, like Windows XP Tablet Edition for Tablet PC and WinMo Standard is for non-touchscreen devices like the HTC Vox. So it is not possible (and useful) to run Professional on a Vox. And yes it is possible to use remote desktop, but I only know through VNC. I attached a client that runs nice on the Vox, with UltraVNC running as a server. Just unzip and copy it to your phone and run.
It there a application for VOX (listener) that allows me connect through my pc to my phone.
I want something that can display my phone screen on my pc (enlarged).
Does anyone know where can I get this software for VOX. (HTC S710)

Hi
I have a Vodafone V1415 variant of the Vox. I have the following problem, can anyone help?
1. I ran the SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe program, it appeared to work fine. I rebooted the phone.
2. I ran the uspl_116_jockyw.bat program, it appeared to work fine. I see the penguin flash up briefly, then it goes to a black screen. (But the phone is still on, I'm pretty certain)
3. After this, I'm not sure if I should cycle the power to the phone or not. I tried it both ways:
- If I run ROMUpdateUtility.exe without rebooting, it says 'Verifying the information on your smartphone... please wait...' and then eports ERROR [260] : CONNECTION.
- If I run ROMUpdateUtility.exe after restarting the phone and after Activesync is reconnected, it successfully connects to my phone and reads an existing firmware version (1.18.161.3). I tell it to Update to Vox-USPL, and a Red/Green/Blue screen appears on my phone. Activesync connection drops about then. The progress bar appears and stays at 0% for about 15 seconds, and then ROMUpdateUtility.exe reports ERROR [260] : CONNECTION.
What is going wrong?
Martin.

I cannot flash my E650 using uspl_116_jockyw.bat. RUU gives the error:
Error [260] : Connection
If however I do not run uspl_116_jockyw.bat I am able to get past this stage but of course get and Invlaid vendor error. I've been following this (http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:GtlcQznmPzkJ:pda.portability.nl/windows-mobile-family/guides/how-to-flash-orange-spv-e650-with-ruu_vox_htc_wwe_1.34.405.1_4.1.13.54_03.10.90_ship .exe-htc-s710.html+%22Flash+Orange+SPV+e650+with+RUU%22&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=7&gl=uk) guide specific to the E650 and have used 2 different computers (Running WinXP x66 & x64) with the same results. I'm using Activesync version 4.5.0 b5096. Any help on this issue would be massively appreciated as it is doing my head in!

hey guys, i ran through all the procedures listed and when my E650 flashed the new rom it rebooted, but then just like wilemlee a couple of pages back, the phone came up with the message:
Device start up failed due to sudden loss of power. Please click "yes" to continue.
If i click yes the phone just hangs at the windows mobile screen, if no it just white screens. i've tried to reflash the new rom, but it does the comes up with the same screen or says connection error. I think i've just bricked my new phone, anyone hav any ideas how to help?
Many thanks
Edit: I have managed to fix my problem by clicking "No" at the power loss screen, and then running the HTC rom update, this then kicked the device into a cold boot config and all was fixed!

How did you manage to solve "connection error" this is what most of us are having at the moment!
bulj
2nd May 2008, 08:27 PM
I just solved my connection error issue for my SPV E650:
I reinstalled Activesync however, I don't think this is what solved the issue. I tried the whole process again but also installed this (http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=21119) (another app unlocker I beleive) just for good measure and rebooted the phone afterwards however, I'm certain that this has nothing to do with solutuion too. I got exactly the same negative result. I then closed RUU & uspl_116_jockyw.bat, rebooted the phone and started up uspl_116_jockyw.bat again and this time when it comes to 'now start a MTTY session or RUU' I see the penguin on the phones screen, the phone closes down and I can complete the flash without errors. I had to do this twice, ie run uspl_116_jockyw.bat twice for each flash (of which there are two!).
I suggest just trying to run uspl_116_jockyw.bat twice for each flash like I did. If that doesn't work perhaps reinstalling ASync and using the Surreal Networks App unlocker will magically help.
I hope you all have the same joy.

Hi Everyone,
I flashed my dutch Orange branded device with 1.34 HTC rom. After working great for 3 weeks however it crashed and when restarted the phone, the phone didn't want to load and got stuck in the bootloader screen (Red Green Blue bar, also known as the TSOD- Tri Screen Of Death). I read somewhere that loading the original rom would unbrick the phone (other ROMS don't get further than installing 3% and then give error 260 - Corrupt ROM, or error 270 Invalid vendor ID).
Does anyone know how to fix this? or does anyone have the original dutch e650 ROM???
( Why isnt it downloadable from the orange website?)

Hey Guys,
Can I ask a question???
I followed these instructions:
08/18/2007
Vox USPL 1.16 made by jockyw2001
1, Run the SDA Application Unlock.exe, it will greet you with "SDA successfully unlocked".
2, Turn off your Vox and remove the storage card.
3, Turn your Vox on and connect it to active sync/windows mobile device center.
4, From the Vox USPL- CID BYPASS run Uspl.bat. Follow the on screen step by step instructions. Press enter through the prompts which you have already completed in steps 1-3. On your Vox mobile you “may” be prompted to allow "itsutils" then "haret" to run, press yes both times... On running haret your screen will go black with the backlight on dim or sometimes screen is bright white.
(note all going well the screen will remain in this black or white state until step 5 has completed).
5, Now run the update RUU_Vox... update you want to flash, everything else is automated. You’re done!
I then installed the latest ROM from HTC (downloaded from XDA FTP site) - all went ok but the Vox (SPV e650) failed to boot (hung) so I powered off / powered on ... I got a message tellimg me it had failed to boot last time so I just waited a bit longer this time.
The phone now boots and everything works, so I assume it's ok...BUT...the instructions above say:
1. Run the USPL (Vox USPL- CID BYPASS.zip)
2. Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe (Vox-USPL-RUU.zip)
I have not run the ROMUpdate utility yet since I flased a new ROM to the phone...shoud I run the ROMUpdate utility and then re-flash it??
Does this help protect me from bricking my phone?

If you don't use RomUpdate utility then you have to go uptill 4th step each time when you are again flashing a non official rom to your vox. No problem other wise.:)

Hi tipu2185,

So - just complete steps 1 - 4 then run ROMUpdate and then I can just flash and re-flash whenever I like?
That's very helpful - thanks very much for your response! :)

If you have a functional ROM now, you can still patch USPL and then use ROMUpdate to soft SPL the device without removing the ROM you are using, SPL is just the first few blocks.
Try it. Instead of using RUU from your ROM directory, run the RUU inside USPL folder and flash it. ROM will be intact, and you will have 'soft SPL'.

My screen on the S730

The phone/screen doesnt go dim.

Hi every one................My name is Anand , i'm from india... I recently joined this site n a'm havin Quite fun hangin around... I am Usin HTC S710 n heard about d new wm 6.1 a preview of wm7 ....
I've downloaded wm 6.1 by Dr. Martin Gonzo.... n required other s/w also . I first used SDA Application unlock( which was run from my computer) and then VOX USPL CID BYPASS program...when i run uspl_116_jockyw.bat it acked that copy heart.exe to vox root directory ....what does it mean...? as i am usin dis phone 4 only not more than 3 months, i'm not quite sure with d term used by others... pls any one help me in da above problem
The file is used to 'unlock' your device. However be warned that flashing your ROM will void your warranty. Unless ofcourse you are able to reflash it with the official (and dumb) ROM before you take your Vox to the Docs :D. You can find the official ROM in this site's ftp portal.

After fighting the thing for a while to get it to update.. I managed to do it by deleting the small rom image in the directory - namely the 600kb *.nbh file and placing the rose rom image (60Mb or so *.nbh) into the \vox-uspl directory alone... its also advisable to use the most up to date version of the files... regardless of rom.
I reasoned that if it was running the small USPL in memory it didnt need it a second time and thence was perfection...
YOU SHOULD BE AWARE that it takes a long time sitting in the "welcome to rose" screen before it configures itself and you will think it has died.. it hasnt.
Mine is a Orange UK 'configured' phone or at least it was and I have just been forced by said operator to take a touch diamond which I didnt want because they refused to give me the S740 which I do want and which to all accounts is actually cheaper to buy for them... go figure...
Im tempted to see what the S710 runs like with the new rom and also whether it'll run the clocking program I have installed on the HTC 8500 I have
If it does I might sell the Diamond and be done with it

The small *.nbh is for flashing the USPL. This is meant to permanently disable the ROM lock! If you don't flash this you will have to use the *.bat each time you flash a ROM! And I stated that it takes a while to finish the cold boot of Rose v0.4, this doesn't have to be the case for other ROMs though!

I downloaded the ROMUpdateUtility. There is no readme in the zip file. I am unable to flash the USPL. The phone restarts, shows some progress bar which goes up to 100% in less than 30 seconds on both the PC and the phone, and finally the PC says the file is corrupted, download again. I have tried this already 3 times, every time the same result. Can any one point me where I am going wrong?

Many thanks

Hello, I am completely new in flashing my phone etc. I just have one question: Is it possible, in case if something's going wrong, or if i just need WM 6.0, to "deinstall it" en go back to HTC's 'original WM 6.0 rom'?
[Edit] Found it, I can flash back to the orginal ROM. For those who might do the same, it's only possible when your phone is a HTC (not a Vodafone phone, etc)!!

Hi,
My wifi stop working after a rom upgrade in a htc shadow, as far as I investigate, there is only one person who could solve this problem, it was with mtty with your spl, but in a Vox. I need to give a try in my shadow, but I can't load your SPL, because is a different device.
Could you adapt your SPL to work in a shadow?
I will donate if you could!
Thanks!

Your not going to get an answer.. seems as they only pick and choose what Questions to answer..
and all they have to do is hit reply and say "NO" or "Yes" or "I don't know"
but that's never going to happen.. as there are lots of unanswered Questions on this forum. if I knew i would tell you but I don't know. as I'm also looking for the answer as i have the same phone and i wanna install 6.1 on my phone.

RUU on vista (http://www.modaco.com/content-page/252977/ruu-on-vista-it-can-be-done-the-ultimate-guide/page/80/).
I'm on the other hand stuck with w7, and I can't get it to work! I ran the application unlocker and it worked. When running the bat, it got problems with itsutils (can't copy file or something like that).
Isn't it possible for me to run haret directly from my phone after application unlock and the flash directly from my sd-card?

NOTE: I also retried as a newbie the step-by-step as from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311650&highlight=idiot

Hi guys,
I've just implemented a Vox USPL which allows you to flash any Vox ROM updates, i.e. you can flash any *official* ROM even if your phone's model and vendor ID doesn't match.

You can skip the debrand cabs and start from step 4. The debranding is useless as you intend to write a different ROM to the device anyhow. Only the Remove Security should be required to prepare the device for the subsequent steps, e.g. allow Application Unlock to run and then the USPL to actually allow the loading of a custom ROM.
This problem only comes up when you start from a "normal" ROM:
- first apply security settings that allow the OS to run foreign appications, this seems special for Orange ROMs
- second lower the security settings even more (Application Unlock)
- then finally run the (U)SPL directly from memory to bypass the onboard SPL which would not allow to load unsigned custom ROMs and which would check for the correct Vendor ID for the device.
- the custom ROMs usually have the "security" set to a level that allows subsequent loading of ROMs without these initial steps.

Did your phone can connect usb in bootloader mode?
If yes, try install original (CID accepted) ROM and try from beginning:)
If no, you have to learn flashing from SD (I don't try it:confused:)...

yes i finally did it.
the trick is while updating the Vox USPL- CID BYPASS, we have to stay in the last prompt, and they execute RUU_Vox even though it appears on the desktop PC the activesync connection not there.
Hi,
I was also having this error with the "file corrupt" message.
The solution is the one mentioned here!!!
Please add this to the instructions!!!
